They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had a repair done at another shop and it never quite got sorted correctly. I found Stort Valley Cycle and they sorted it the first time and the gears have been smooth ever since! The last time I needed something done, I was in a huge time crunch and I was apologetic to the staff, but needed something down quickly before going out of town. They sorted the bike out quicker than expected and I had time to spare! Well done guys!!

They didn't have…read moreit in stock but had a slightly more expensive one, the rear rollers plus the roller for the fender. They offered to and did send me the more expensive part at no extra cost. It arrived in one day. Their prices are very good, they don't charge for shipping, and they ship unbelievably quickly. I haven't been there in person, but if they are as friendly and responsive in shop as they are by email it'd be worth the hour and a half train ride from where I am now.

This is a great shop that has loads of stock, is easy to walk around and the people there are really helpful. They cater for all with kids bikes up to the top of the range racing machines. There is a well stocked clothing section upstairs. The mechanics are very capable and you should feel at ease leaving you loved two wheeled baby with them. Just remember to confirm that all repairs have been completed before you set off for the pick up. Parking at the weekend can be a bit tight as the shop is next to a tyre shop, but don't let that put you off.

Those really are worth going to to check out as they have a lot of stuff in boxes on the ground floor that you can just rummage and find a bargain. Plus, although I'm not certain how he got it but there's also a 10% loyalty card (not off sale prices though). I don't think it's given out to everyone though, I think my husband goes there so often they started recognising him and just gave it to him!

This small…read moreindependent shop, tucked away in a side alley only a short walk from the city centre, has a good selection of new and second-hand bike on offer at very reasonable prices. They also have a good selection of accessories such as baskets, lights, locks and helmets for sale, again at good value for money. The guys that run the shop are very knowledgeable about all cycle-related matters. They are happy to install extras (such as lights and locks) without charging extra for the labour and carry out repairs reliably and promptly.

I took the bike to sprocket and asked about replacement if they could get it out. The staff were very helpful and when I said it might not be possible to save the frame, out of curiosity they put the bike straight on the shop stand to have a proper look at it. Minutes later I was walking out with a brand new bottom bracket installed. Very impressed. Reasonable prices. These guys love a challenge.

Yes - I could fix it myself but I am lazy and my bike is 50 years old so figured I'd just get a quote and see if someone professional could give it a once over. Not sure who I spoke to at Sprocket but he was very helpful and quoted me £28 for the same job. What a nice guy! I'll be taking 'Star Rider' (yes) down for a service very soon! The shop is located not far from Moor Street and is next to Warehouse Cafe and the vegan shop.
