I had a tour for the building today and it was amazing. I submitted my application as soon as it…read moreconcluded. Lauren Jones was amazing, very knowledgeable on the building and answered all my questions. I hope I get to move in and hopefully enjoy all this place has to offer.

The company responsible for virtual optics should receive a raise and peeked my interest to…read moreschedule a tour. Unfortunately, my overall experience was a case study in FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Scheduling Tour: On Wednesday evening, I completed the online interest form to request a tour on Friday at 5:30 pm. Leading up to the tour date, I did not receive a phone call, text (I checked the box to receive notifications), nor an email to confirm day and time. On Friday at 3:30 pm, I called to ask if I was still on the schedule for a tour. The representative stated that "the scheduler" was on a break, but would call back. At 4:45 pm, I received a phone call in which the rep recited my email address. Although there was a misspelling, I still did not receive a phone call. However, against my better judgement, I asked about availability on Saturday. Since there were no tours on her schedule, I chose 12:30 pm. The rep said I should receive an email using the corrected address, I did not. On Saturday, I arrived at 12:15 pm. Upon entering the building, the representative shared that I would need to wait until my tour time of 12:30 pm. At 12:30 pm, she escorted me to the office to take care of the preliminary questioning to learn more about my interests. I was quoted about $2100 for a 1 bed/1 bath. Tour: As someone who has nearly 30 years of experience in which introductions and professionalism are paramount, the external and internal optics did not reflect a "luxury apartment (as noted on the website)" atmosphere. Butterfly Door Entry: Secure Fitness Center: Decent Lounge: Spacious/noticed stains on furniture Pet Parlor: Okay Entertainment Room: Stains on furniture 1 bed/1 bath apartment: I was appalled that the rep used a unit that was not staged!!!! The occupants just moved out, so the space was not clean. There was a used condom wrapper on the bathroom floor. The fact that she thought it would make a good impression to show a dirty unit is beyond troubling. She even said, "they were here for four years, and doesn't look too bad." The hallway smelled of weed, the carpet floors were not clean, and the wall paneling was lifted/buckled. There was little to no evidence that the property was cleaned regularly. Overall: --The Oxford Apartments virtual advertisement DOES NOT align with the actual property. --The rent is grossly overpriced ($2100 for a 1 bed/1 bath, really??!!!!). --The customer service expectation bar should be raised significantly (prompt follow-up with prospective residents; personal appearance of those on duty).

I've been living here for two years, and have had a MICE problem this whole time! the Pest control…read moreand Maintenance are HORRIBLE at getting them under control. I've had to get myself a Cat just because the traps they DONT CHECK or CHANGE OFTEN don't work. I was told that the maintenance would come and drill into the walls to help prevent the mice from entering my apartment but that has NOT happened and it's been at least 2 months since i was told. THE mice problem is getting worst, & they GO up on the rent with no problem, and the elevators work SOMETIMES in a 10 story building. the Lobby ALWAYS smells like sewage, and the hallways are unbearably hot!

It's funny that the reviews are for the most part positive. I don't know where folks lived prior to…read morehere. But I've lived here for many many years and the owners are horrible. Cons: There are cockroaches in the basement, many dryers are broken, and the security doesn't do a very good job at all. The good tenants have complained vehemently about the quality of tenants that are selected to live here. There are situations of noisy tenants but don't bother complaining about them because the owners do absolutely NOTHING to resolve the situations. It's sad because if there were better quality tenants in the building, I'm SURE they would do something about situations. There are a few people in the rental office who are very nice I will say that. But they can't really do so much but report the problems. Don't let the website fool you - there are broken blinds in many windows and trash on many of the floors. Tenants don't believe in taking trash to the docks and leave bags OUTSIDE of trash rooms, instead of just dropping them down the shoot. Weed smoking is rampant - completely and it seeps into other apartments. There's urine in the elevators, dog droppings in the basement (Which doesn't help the cockroach problem), cigarette ashes on the columns of the floor, the list goes ON. AND when it's summer, there is no A/C in the hallways OR the elevators. It's a sauna in the hallways. And the elevators also break down continuously. They need to be replaced. There are dogs that have no business being in an apartment building. These apartments are not big enough for big dogs like pit bulls, german shepherds, huskies, etc. And we have had situations of pit bulls biting children. The apartments are a nice size just not a nice size for BIG dogs. The previous owners banned bigger dogs but these owners literally let anyone live here with any kind of pet. Sad... Pros: The parking lot on the property and the metro stop outside the building are the only saving graces to living here. And the apartments are spacious. But the heating/A/C in the apartments are hotel unit shaped machines that are not meant to be used all the time. This building should be on a central heating and airing system. These units send our electric bills sky high. I will say, do NOT live here if you can avoid doing so. It might be nice the first few months, but then it's all downhill. Trust me when I say that. If Vista does answer this review, just keep in mind EVERYTHING I've stated before taking that chance. Yes it's close to 295 and the beltway but is it worth it? And what's sadder is that we can't afford to move anywhere else that is somewhere decent without spending a small fortune.
