I had to keep calling to resolve the issue, he tells me I have a phone apt again but never called me! I had to call the office and stand my ground about getting the issue fix! I had to go back in the office again and give them my paperwork again since Mr Alcala just happened to go home sick from my apt in March. Who knows what they did to my copies of the documents back in March. Horrible experience! This guy literally never did his job from back in March. It will be a year next month of my sisters passing too!

Enjoy the Oxnard Shores as well as Oxnard State Beach Park. Visit the US Navy Seabee Museum, open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM (closed on Sundays). And just outside the perimeter fence for the Naval CBC Port Hueneme/Naval Base Ventura County/NBVC. Private flights and flying course are available at Oxnard Airport which once took commercial flights prior to 2011. Elevate your mind at Oxnard College, a junior college, off that infamous Rose Ave. The Oxnard School District provides jobs to nearly 4K. The city of Oxnard as an entirety has over 53K in students, grades K through 12 at 54 different campuses. While very spread out compared to some parts of SoCal like Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, Coachella Valley or even parts of San Diego Oxnard has a lot to offer. More so being between the city of Ventura as well as Camarillo. Under 40 miles from Santa Barbara, by car or train, traffic pending. And less than an hour from the start of L.A. County in heading in the direction of Leo Carillo or Westlake Village/Agoura Hills. The Cinemark Century Riverpark and XD is the big movie theater, though the Plaza Stadium Cinemas 14 seems popular as well - their website is down but it still list things as showing... I'm not Oxnard expert in the slightest, but having ventured here more than a handful of times in the last two decades I've seen it blossom a bit.

Love the harbor, marina, awesome beaches and its people. All the festivals and events that are offered to the community. I love that I can write, call or message my councilmember and he will respond within hours. I have been given random acts of kindness multiple times by strangers at restaurants, coffee shops or simply by walking on the street. It's that type of love that makes me so thankful to be part of Oxnard and say it loud and proud. I have lived in Spain, SB, Washington D.C. but my heart is always in Oxnard. I am so happy with all the new things coming to town from the murals to the revamping of our harbor. Oxnard has a terrible reputation but its peoples resilience is what will continue to make it such a great place to live and thrive.

I might be one of the few people you will ever talk to that actually looks forward to Jury Duty…read more And I say that despite several horrible experiences I've endured serving on juries. For example, my first experience: https://www.yelp.com/biz/richmond-superior-court-richmond?hrid=I_SbbHnghg5gj4gUAtyVBg&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Although I serve willingly, I understand the many legitimate reasons why people hate getting summoned. Chief among these reasons is the complaint that the system is so inefficient. You have to spend all damn day sitting in the Jury Room waiting to see if you will be called for a jury panel. The inefficiency is irritating to the point of exasperation for many people. In the past, every time I've served I've overheard people saying, There's Got To Be A Better Way. Ok, you're not going to believe this, but they finally discovered a Better Way! For real, they actually fixed the inefficiency problem. You no longer have to wait around all day. These days when you are called you are assigned to either the morning (8-12) or afternoon (1-5) group. If you are not called to a courtroom, you are excused after your four hours. Now jury service is 4 hours, or one trial (should you be called to a courtroom and empaneled). OMG, what an improvement! And this morning there were no cases to be heard, so we were released at like 10:20, with full credit. Best jury service ever! We live in the richest country in the history of the world. Our lives are better than 99.99999% of all the people that have ever existed since the beginning of time. And the country doesn't really ask that much of us as citizens. All we have to do is pay our taxes and occasionally serve on a jury. Done and done! Mikey C says: Thank you, Ventura County Jury Services! Thank you, America!
