I love me a good thrift store so while visiting a friend in Oxford recently she took me to the only one in town; Oxford Odds and Ends.
A unique thrift/antique co-op consisting of little rooms that seems to go on forever and ever. Each room represented a different vendor. Prices at some were very low, others a little higher, but overall still very affordable. While some focused on vintage furniture pieces, others focused on kids clothes. They truly had something for everyone; there was even a "shop" from an extreme couponer!
For me I like the thrill of the hunt, and although I didn't buy anything this visit it didn't disappoint. There's lots of nooks and crannies to explore and so much variety you'll never know what you might find.
The staff was friendly and pretty much left you alone to explore but were there if you needed them. Parking is on the street and metered, but the town is so small we were able to park right out front.
While I wouldn't drive the distance from my home in Lancaster Co just to shop here, I'll definitely stop again when I'm in the area visiting.
Worth noting: Some of the areas are tight - so don't bring a large purse, best to leave the kids at home due to breakables at their eye level, not stroller friendly, and there are steps - trust me you'll want to explore upstairs! read more
