I took my navy service dress uniform and it should have been simple. Apply the patches above the lapel on the jacket. First they sloppily hand sewn the patch and all the stitching was irregular, visible, and messy and then I took it to be corrected and then they cut the patch incorrectly and applied it with irregular small stitching that was once again not professionally done. I will NEVER take any uniforms there again. The seamstress does not know what they are doing!!!! It will cost you more to get it fixed after they try then just taking it somewhere else. Just wanted to share my experience with Oxford Cleaners.. my husband took my wedding dress in to be cleaned and preserved. When the date came to be picked up my husband called and it wasn't ready. Ok cool, two weeks late he calls and they put him on "hold" but can still hear everything and the lady goes "it's that man again asking about that stupid wedding dress". Rude but he doesn't say anything and they said with boxes delayed it's still not ready. He calls one more time a week & half later and it's still not ready. Fast forward to this past Monday we are driving by and drop in to see if it's ready. They said it is and go to grab it, he respectfully asks why they didn't call to let him know. The owner comes up and starts raising her voice telling him that they don't call people when items are ready. He followed up by asking her but when I did call you guys got annoyed and when an item is past due I feel like that should be followed with a phone call to let the costumer know when it is ready. She starts to yell at him that they didn't have hangers and would give a 10% discount. After this encounter I had a really bad feeling and decided to open the box to make sure it was indeed my dress. Come to open it and it is not, it's a uniform thrown in there. I go back to the store to ask for my dress and show them that it's a military uniform thrown in there not even nicely. She starts to yell at me that again they didn't have hangers and boxes and that the box she gave me was for a wife whose husband has passed. Which I followed by explaining to her how disrespectful it was for his uniform to be boxed like that. And I asked her again for my dress, she goes to the back and brings me another box. It's another wedding dress.. not mine. I tell her and she looses it and begins clapping her hands in my face starts to say I am a mean person. I explain to her that my mom worked hard to get my that dress for my special day and I would just really like it back. She tells me she doesn't wanna hear my sob story and goes back again and finally finds it, not boxed up.. not in a bag. Just on some hangers. Hopefully whoever's uniform that is gets back to the right person. read more

Please do not take your dry cleaning to this establishment. The girls at the desk are sweet but the Owner was non-helpful and insulting. One of the workers damaged my suit jacket and ownership basically could have cared less. Excuses after excuses....come back tomorrow...and then the next day...the next day. I tried to be professional and expected an apology but what a joke. I must now purchase another suit jacket and search for a quality dry cleaner. Never again will I visit this business. The only reason they are still in operation is because the store is not far from Parris Island Marine Corps with hundreds automatic customers. read more

They are now doing alterations. i called them and they said the things i needed altered seemed like a quick fix and to come in by 5pm or they would be there 9-2 on saturday. i showed up at 1230 saturday and they refused to give me business because they were to busy. i mean I called and you said come in any time. I am understanding, and would have came back. But they were rude, the lady behind the counter said she didn't take the call. (Who cares who took the call) Will never go back and would never recommend this place. read more

Can I give this place a rating less than one? This place is HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT go there. Kims Alterations is right down the road, go there first. My boyfriend had to get some patches sewn onto his uniforms. They messed up every uniform. One patch was sewn completely upside down, the other one sideways. How do they think that it looks acceptable? If you have a military family or spouse member you will know that this is absolutely unacceptable. When I asked for a discount the fat blonde girl said "Um. No. Because we have a new girl in". I said" Well, that shouldn't matter since it is the companies fault. (What company "hires" a new girl to sew and not check over her to make sure shes going her job correctly? Instead of making her customers happy she got pissed off and told us to go somewhere else. So, we got our stuff took our leave and I let her know she was being a bitch. She came running out of the store after me saying she was going to f**k me up. If you'd like to be treated in that way, then by all means check this place out. They are the most unprofessional business I have ever been to. They really need to have a reality check and screen the employees they hire. What a disgrace! read more
