On the other hand, I can't deny it is a good store with good prices. I regularly pop in there to buy some lunch - Honey Mustard & Chicken Pasta Salad (Tesco's own brand, I think) is delicious! - and a couple of bargain DVDs. I often pick up movies for £3 or £4.

A huge store with a variety of goods. They sell clothes, books, DVD's, electrical items, homewares…read more& of course, food. There is also a Tesco petrol station across from the store by one of the entrances. The store is easily accessible by car or public transport. There are always plenty of bargains to be had. The staff are usually pretty helpful but I often find that the customer services desk is understaffed. The only other problem I have had it the rotation is stock is awful. I often find items that are very short dated or even out of date. Overall a good store with lots of choice but it's a shame it's taken so much of the business away from the main town centre but then if people in the town centre then the shops would still be open so it's a vicious circle.

This is a nice shopping centre which is always clean & tidy but due to the demise of the town…read morecentre it's slowly going downhill & businesses & units are being left empty. There are several shops. Lots of card shops, a few food places such as Farmfoods, a freezer centre, dorothy perkins, mackays & a deli. There is a large car park but it's expensive considering that the majority of the shops are closed but it's easy to get to the centre via public transport. It's a shame that it has gone downhill so much & that businesses are being forced away due to expensive rents. The centre does have toilets & baby changing rooms but due to previous vandalism the baby changing are now locked & you have to find a member of staff which is almost impossible. The baby changing also has a disabled toilet so I don't know how people manage who need to use the disabled toilet. Overall some nice shops but a shame there's only a little variety & so many empty units.

In addition, there are a couple of common places to eat like McDonald's and Pizza Hut, yet I do feel there could be a little more restaurants considering the size of the area. Nevertheless, it makes a great day out because you can easily spend hours browsing each store as you walk around from one end to the other. The retail park has a bright and modern feel to it. No surprise it is so popular with visitors, with a huge car park to accommodate.

This shopping mall is HUGE and has many floors that are accessible via stairs or escalator. Seems like a great place to come for your every day needs and even for special occasion wants. They have luxury brand stores & more casual clothing stores. Lots of different coffee shops here, as well, lovely for a pick me up while doing some shopping! By the Starbucks, there are stairs with each step covered with turf that made for a pleasant area to sit and rest before getting up to shop again or just walk around.

It…read moreis Warrington's main shopping center alongside Cockhedge, which is mainly there just to house an Asda store. As you can tell by its name, Golden Square is basically a large, indoor "Square" of shops, with 135 shops in total according to their website, all over one floor. I dislike the approach of it all being over one floor, being used to seeing shopping centers on multiple floors, which also allows room for more shops, but Warrington's Golden Square also has a few stores in an outside square to it, which is also quite nice including Rhode Island Coffee and a Post Office, which is a nice area. The Shopping Center as I said is quite nice, both inside and out with a good range of shops, including WHSmtih, EE, Starbucks CEX, JD, 3, Waterstones and Vision Express, just to name a few. Due to the shape of the mall, it is quite easy to navigate around. This mall is quite nice for a small town and although it isn't somewhere I'd recommenced you constantly go out of your way to go here, it is well worth a look in if you are in the area as it is a nice shopping center, with a good range of shops and is great for a small town like Warrington, hence a solid 3 star rating.

Its all under cover so the potential bad English weather won't be a factor. According to their web site, there are 135 stores inside. I went recently a few days before Christmas and it wasn't too busy - nothing like shopping centres like Arndale Centre or Trafford Centre (actually never normally go to Trafford Centre but especially near Christmas but I think I can safely say its crazy busy!) Didn't stay too long but went to Boots and also went to Debenhams for some food - which was actually pretty good. There is multi storey car parking but unfortunately it is not free. For under an hour, its £1. It goes up to £5.50 if you are more than 4 hours. Between 2-4 hours is £2.20 which is not too bad I guess.

Any time I've been there it's been deathly quiet. The lower floor used to house a large Somerfield supermarket, but that has since been put out of business by the larger Tesco, on an edge-of-town retail park. Now the place is an embarrassment. Just outside is Eccleston Street, once the town's main shopping street, but like the centre now in decline. Shame, as it's a historic thoroughfare with some beautiful buildings, including some very quaint Elizabethan features. Now the street and the Prescot Centre are crying out for regeneration.

The clothing is fairly dressy with some stunning long evening dresses (some brightly coloured) but also some less dressy tops that you could wear in the evening, possibly the day time, depending on your engagement. My favourite find, although I didn't purchase it was a short red dress with a ruffle effect at the top. I was trying to work out where on earth I would wear the dress. I have so many in my wardrobe that I just couldn't possibly, at the minute, justify another buy. So thanks Desire but I need to find a reason for a new purchase, but hope to see you again soon!

The store is large, but not huge and has a range of ladies, mens, childrens and home items. All clothing is all on the ground floor with the home items being on the first floor. There is a lift in ladies wear to access the first floor but the home range is quite limited, although you can always order your items from the Next Directory and collect in store, which saves on delivery costs.
