Most of the shops do close slightly early, with 5:30 to 6 being common (when they are allowed to open of course...) The interior is pretty modern and OK. I sometimes feel so foolish to pay lots at supermarkets once you go to Home bargain. The shop is fairy big and lots of items are available. They always stock in something new so it is worth to pop in if you have time. The staffs are not that friendly or good customer service but you would not expect these kind of places that much...Fantastic place for credit crunch!

They have wedding dresses for £24.99. And not tatty old wedding dresses with things spilt down them, but proper heavy well designed fancy pants dresses in perfect condition. Almost made me want to get married just so I could buy them, not quite enough though. Seen all these new vintage shops selling old clothes for a small fortune? Well visit this Barnardo's and get the same stuff for less money with the knowledge a charity gets the money! Customer service here was just poor. Really really poor…read more I had made a special journey to this store to try on and hopefully purchase a pair of walking boots I had seen online. At the time of visit (approx 18:30) the store was quiet, with no customers apart from myself in the footwear section. There were staff either talking amongst themselves, stocking up, or just doing anything else other than wanting to give me any help despite me looking like I actually needed it. I eventually chased a member of staff down who retrieved the shoe size I needed. I tried on two different sizes. There was no check-up to see if they fit; if I liked them; if I would like to try on a different pair. Nothing. Nobody actually cared if I was there or not. I eventually ended up leaving both boxes where I sat with nobody around to help or for me to return them to and I decided that my money would be better spent elsewhere. With high street stores closing at such a fast rate, it's no wonder why, when you have stores such as this one, that offer products at higher prices yet offer zero customer service to justify the extra expense. In this climate, I wish Go Outdoors the best of luck. At this rate, I think you'll need it.

The fruit and vege is always excellent (and like everything else here is at a really good rate to others super markets), the frozen fish is great and fresh goods such as smoked salmon and bacon is of a really high quality. Our shop is always a lot cheaper than it was in the past and although there's some items not available here which mean we need to go and supplement our shop elsewhere, the vast majority is which makes it really easy to do our shopping week in week out. I also love the random items they stock from week to week - Asian season, German Xmas finds or craft beer at £1 a bottle - it's always worth keeping an eye out!

Aisles and aisles of garden, kitchen, electronic and kids items are stocked here and I always make sure I pick up big packs of quality batteries here so as I don't run out. Don't miss out on their food and drink produce as you go in on the left - there's so many totally random imported items here but you can usually pick up say 3 cans on crazy pop for £1 which isn't bad at all in my book! Very friendly guys that run it too.
