Stores in the Dolphin centre include big names such as Boots, New Look, Top Shop, and Beales. The variety is quite vast and caters for all needs. There are plenty of shops that are set on two levels with plenty of parking in pay and display multi story car parks. The Bus station and train station are joined onto the Dolphin centre so access by public transport is just as easy. The Dolphin centre boasts many coffee shops and food outlets allowing everyone to take the weight off and enjoy a little bit of a break. The Dolphin Centre is always clean and tidy but it can get busy especially on Saturdays and sale times. For a days shopping why not try Poole.

It can be dashed round fairly quickly, especially at 6.45pm. They have all you need, just not as many packs on the shelves. A few staff greeted me, which was nice as I haven't been in this branch for about a year. I used to use a venue for work nearby. In fact, I dreaded going in at times as so many of my service users go in there, but my work is out of Poole/Bournemouth from now on. When I've asked other staff members to help me, even when I know the exact item I want to purchase, they're quite unfriendly and seem like they'd rather be doing literally anything else than serving me and act like my business is a huge hassle and inconvenience to them. Many times I've just gone to buy the same thing in another department store up the road instead! Conversely, when there is someone at the counter, on several occasions I felt like I was being forced into a purchase, as if the staff were completely desperate to get rid of certain products, rather than considering my personal needs or being genuinely helpful. Rather than using the vacant treatment room, she waxed my brows in front of all the customers (and this was quite a busy day) and I noticed a few laughing and sniggering at my discomfort. It was much more painful than any brow waxing I'd ever experienced as she kept waxing the same areas over, and when I looked in the mirror.. nearly all of my brow hairs were gone! Instead of full, luscious brows I was left with two skinny tadpoles and an expression of permanent surprise. I started to cry a little after seeing them and she had the audacity to ask if I wanted to make another appointment! Needless to say I will NEVER go back and had to use so much makeup to make them resemble eyebrows for months afterwards. If you want value for money and a pleasant shopping experience, stay well away! Although Debenhams have a rewards system and sometimes have deals worth browsing in the sales after Christmas, I won't be coming back any time soon. There are other department stores in town selling the same products with far better customer service!

A lot of the jewellery is made with gems so there's a whole range of colours to choose from. Some are dainty and some are quite exuberant, and all points in between. The prices are very good too, in my opinion. At the back of the shop you start seeing polished stones as items on their own and then there's incense and burners and natural oils and all sorts of 'new age' type items. There are also some really interesting books on sale. The shop is busy, students from overseas find it, au pairs find it, everyone finds it. The service is good.
