Stores in the Dolphin centre include big names such as Boots, New Look, Top Shop, and Beales. The variety is quite vast and caters for all needs. There are plenty of shops that are set on two levels with plenty of parking in pay and display multi story car parks. The Bus station and train station are joined onto the Dolphin centre so access by public transport is just as easy. The Dolphin centre boasts many coffee shops and food outlets allowing everyone to take the weight off and enjoy a little bit of a break. The Dolphin Centre is always clean and tidy but it can get busy especially on Saturdays and sale times. For a days shopping why not try Poole.

There are a number of discount stores (99p, Wilkinson, Peacocks and Poundland) all close together. The only downside is the parking - it seems to go up everytime I go up so would recommend parking elsewhere in Boscombe and walking in.

I do find as I walk in that the store appears cluttered at first glance. As it;s such a big store, it;s based over three floors with escalators through the middle. There is a lift available but it's very slow and considering the baby items are on the top floor, most people with younger children will need to use the lift and find themselves waiting for a while. The queues for the tills can get very long in busy periods and there will be a long wait. I find most people buy a lot of items at a time in here as it is so cheap.

The customer service, however, is my main complaint! Most of the time there will be absolutely no-one to be seen at a counter. When I've asked other staff members to help me, even when I know the exact item I want to purchase, they're quite unfriendly and seem like they'd rather be doing literally anything else than serving me and act like my business is a huge hassle and inconvenience to them. Many times I've just gone to buy the same thing in another department store up the road instead! Conversely, when there is someone at the counter, on several occasions I felt like I was being forced into a purchase, as if the staff were completely desperate to get rid of certain products, rather than considering my personal needs or being genuinely helpful. I'd heard so many good things about Benefit and wanted to get my overgrown brows shaped in time for my upcoming holiday, instructing the technician to leave them full with a natural shape, as I only wanted them tidied up. Rather than using the vacant treatment room, she waxed my brows in front of all the customers (and this was quite a busy day) and I noticed a few laughing and sniggering at my discomfort. It was much more painful than any brow waxing I'd ever experienced as she kept waxing the same areas over, and when I looked in the mirror.. nearly all of my brow hairs were gone! Instead of full, luscious brows I was left with two skinny tadpoles and an expression of permanent surprise. I started to cry a little after seeing them and she had the audacity to ask if I wanted to make another appointment! Needless to say I will NEVER go back and had to use so much makeup to make them resemble eyebrows for months afterwards. If you want value for money and a pleasant shopping experience, stay well away! Although Debenhams have a rewards system and sometimes have deals worth browsing in the sales after Christmas, I won't be coming back any time soon. There are other department stores in town selling the same products with far better customer service!

Aside from jeans and T Shirts there are some rather nice zip sweaters and regular sweaters. My man could choose some garments from here quite happily. The staff could do better though. The Littledown centre is centrally located near the hospiatl in Bournemouth. There is plenty of…read morefree parking attached to the centre. There is a wide range of activities available to use within the centre including swimming and parties etc. We often visit for the swimming and find the facilities to be good. The pools are heated well and you have free use of the water slides at certain times. The prices for swimming are higher than other areas but the atmosphere and staff aid the high price by making us feel welcome. The changing rooms could be a bit cleaner at busy times but we always let the staff know when they need a touch up.
