One bad thing about the shop is the delivery time, as for example, our sofas took about 10 weeks to arrive, and when you consider the amount of money which you are paying, it doesn't really seem a particularly fair deal.

Rolls and Rems Carpet Warehouse would get a really good review from myself if it wasn't for the…read morefour-hour clean-up mess the carpet fitter left for me; the fact that he "didn't do doors" and I could barely use any of the six doors for an entire week until the adjustments were made; and, oh yes, all would be copacetic if I wasn't 100% sure that the owner had switched the good quality carpet, Roll 183, that I'd ordered and paid for, to another inferior carpet and hoped that I just wouldn't notice the difference. It was critical that a good-quality backing be used due to acoustical flooring and no room for a separate underlay. The carpet fitter wasn't the regular carpet fitter, as promised, and had only carried out shared work for this company. He admitted that the carpet was very thin and I was even able to cut out four squares easily, with a household blade, from the left-over carpet to place under the living room couch legs. The owner, Ben, has denied any responsibility; hence this not-so-favourable review. It looks like I'll need to purchase three large rugs in order to mitigate the wear and tear that this cheap carpet will show within a few months. Sorry Ben, but I did ask you in writing to make things right!

My partner received a call offering a carpet cleaning service that was priced extremely reasonably. She booked an appointment for a time slot of 14.30 to 16.30. She was told that the treatment would take about 1-2 hours depending upon work involved. The young man arrived at 16.50 after a phone call at 16.00. Our property is very small and we had arranged as much as possible for everything to be off the floor for ease of work to be carried out. The only things to be 'shifted' were a small sofa, an armchair and a light dining room table. Work started, after the 'chat' from the young man. At 17.15 the work 'treatment' was finished. Roughly a total of 15 minutes. We were told that the carpets would take about 2 hours to dry, which we did expect. After they had been paid and left we viewed the results. During the process we had kept out of the way. It could be seen where work had been carried out as the carpet was darker due to the expected moisture. The sofa and armchair had been moved but the work had gone around the table and dining room chairs. There were many patches which had been totally missed. You may ask why this wasn't mentioned. What's the point. They were late and in a rush. A lesson learned. It would have been easier to hire a cleaner from the local hire shop or supermarket for a day or two and do it yourself. I repeat, this review only covers the local area and not the national cleaning company.
