Stopped by the "other" brewery in Fort Bragg - glad we did! Great staff, great food, really good beer. Started with the IPA sampler...all good, the stand out being the Double...not too high ABV (8.5) - smooth, not too sweet, crisp finish...solid & well balanced. The daily special of guac & chips was AMAZING, actually ordered a second round - chips were perfect. Beers were good! I had a flight with your standard Pilsner to IPA's to a stout, and all choices had really smooth finishes. There is one beer that was sold out, it was a lemon ginger beer that was based off of their Amarillo IPA. It sounded great, hope I can try it the next time I'm around. The chicken skewers were delicious, the brussel sprouts simply heavenly (this coming from a girl who hates brussel sprouts) and the calamari sticks are to die for!!! i could smell the smoker all over town so sniffed my way here, and couldnt be happier with my decision. ordered a flight of samplers (hoppy), all great. then Shishito's (got a couple spicy ones, fantastic). First time ,bout time for Overtime Brew. Been open for 10 days and hey not bad. We have been waiting for a few years now. Great food and the beer quite tasty. I had the medium ale and hubby had a stout. Hooray for Stouts. Dark beers matter!! They are so good for the neighborhood (the brewery!!) and they fixed up a place that had kind of seen better days and made it really nice!! Best beer's ever!! So smooth and very refreshing different flavors than what you usually find at your local brewery. The Jasmine green tea was our favorite but all the others we tried were amazing too! The good game and princess were also some of my faves! oh and the food was amazing!! We added bacon, avocado and cheddar cheese to the burger and it was one of the juiciest burgers I've had in a while! The service was interesting though and I can say that for all the different business's we walked in to while in Fort Bragg. Welcoming but not at the same time. You can tell they definitely favor the in-town regulars and at times make you feel like an obvious outsider. Never rude or anything like that they were nice but just different lol The service is pretty slow here & waitress was very forgetful but was very nice. When traveling we'll pretty much stop by if you put "Brewery" in the name of your business. A friend, knowing we'd be on the North Coast, mentioned Overtime since he knew we'd be stopping by North Coast Brewing. Overtime is just a few blocks, an easy walk, from North Coast. We were greeted with "If you want food all we have is hot dogs." We had eaten in Noyo Harbor, and were simply interested in trying some of their beers. No problem. But an odd introduction. We were seated outside, and were promptly forgotten. Someone realized we didn't have beer shortly before we abandoned our seats, and took a very long time to retrieve them. (It was not busy). The four in our party tried 4 different beers, and we weren't impressed by any. In tasting beer or wine, so much depends on one's own personal taste. If you agree with something I've written about in past posts on beer, you might not like Overtime. But they have a number of really positive posts on their beer, so it may be my group that was missing out. But our introduction and slow, disinterested service is where this rating comes from. It was the day after the Saturday of 4th of July weekend. They might have been overrun the previous day. But. For us the experience had no silver lining. We will return on a weekend that wasn't so busy to see if it was a matter of timing, and hopefully amend this review. We cannot have enough breweries, especially on the coast. read more

Love the murals and the Brussel sprouts! I'm not much of a beer drinker, but everyone seemed to love their beers. They also offer Roederer champagne so I was set. This place is incredible!! We came here last week while in town visiting my mom. My sister got the Raspberry Choc Stout $7 which is 8%ABV, and I got the hard Blueberry Cider $7 which was 6.9%ABV. I liked the cider, but not as much as my sister's beer, so we shared. For food we split the Spinach Artichoke Havarti Panini w/ Fries $13, which was oh so delicious!! What an amazing place to stop off for lunch! Visiting from out of town, but I had their Overtime burger, which was great! Done just right and the fries were amazing. Paired it with their Jasmine Green Tea Ale, which was phenomenal and very refreshing. Oh it was awful! From the waiter, with the mustache, who stared deep into my eyes which made me very uncomfortable and made my husband a bit irritated, to the soggy greasy fries. Ugh! Coleslaw was some funky sauce, gross. Burger was ordered medium rare and was raw in the center and cold. Bun was over toasted. I had a chicken sandwich with blue cheese. Stopped in for a quick dinner. Service was fantastic. Jennifer recommended beers that nailed it for us. Our food arrived quickly hot and tasty. Jennifer was super kind and offered up some nearby activities. We shared the spinach artichoke panini and portobello mushroom sandwich. Both were good to above average - especially the sandwich. Ordered 3 "Overtimeburgers" and came out burned hockey pucks, even by my 8 year daughter's standards. Mac and cheese was OK but not remarkable. Service was really poor and portion size and execution was lacking. The waitress made an excuse for the cooks when we mentioned the burgers and a side that was left out... instead persuading us to just take a discount to not have to deliver the side (which turned out to be $5, meh). Note that the place was only half full. Maybe it was a bad day for the chef, but with a non-attentive waitress and poor service, it would be hard to go back for another try considering it cost $90-something for 5 entrees. We had dinner here on Monday evening Sept. 23rd. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in the door. It's a small and comfy little brewery, which also has outdoor seating as well. The wife and I ordered a few things and split them, so, the Shishito peppers, Portuguese lolllypops, and a Ceasar Salad with grilled flank steak. The food was perfect and plenty for both of us. Becca had a glass of the English medium ale and the Lemon Ginger ale, while I had the Peach IPA and the Belgian Wit, all of which were fantastic. Our server was super attentive and friendly offering advice on places to go hike the next day. Also, had some great 90's tunes playing in the background. We enjoyed our visit here very much. If this review was on their beer, I'd give it 4 stars. If this review was based on their food, perhaps 3 stars. However, this review is based on their service, or perhaps I should say lack thereof. We sat down in the outside area and it took a while to get someone to come out to us. No big deal, places get busy. Once we did get service I felt like I was a burden being there. They paid no attention to us while we were out there, even when we placed our order the girl was looking around and not acknowledging us at all. We were never asked how our food was, if we needed anything, or even if we wanted a second beer. I see a review on here that says the owners are friendly. My advice would be to hire people who are equally as friendly or friendly at all for that matter. We wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, we will NOT be returning. Stopped in here on a Friday night after nearby North Coast was too crowded. The place is rather small, but during the time of COVID, they have well-spaced out seating and got us seated right away. I had a flight in addition to a number of other beers and the staff was exceptional and quick to serve us. The Wit was definitely the highlight of the beers. We also got the garlic fries which were some of the most fresh and best garlic fries I've ever had. Finally, we closed the night with a burger and this was exceptional as well although a little small. Definitely loved this place and will be stopping by if I'm in Fort Bragg in the future. read more

My sis and I came to Over Time Brewing today and fell in love with the place, especially 2 of its friendly happy owners, Dena and Stephen. We each did a flight of beer samples... I tried the India peach IPA, the bitter stout, the lemony ginger IPA and the fancy pants dry hop IPA. I am loving sour beers lately!! Always seeking hoppy fresh beers these days, but I went thru a long phase of porters and stouts... I gotta say my two favorites today were definitely the India Peach IPA and the bitter stout. Excellent job!! We split the egg and cheese panini and amazing salad as well as the portabello mushroom burger and yummy crispy fries... Damm Good Grub!! There is really cool artwork on the walls, a unique menu, cool Tshirt designs, great music playing, delicious fresh food and a great friendly atmosphere on top of a bunch of badass beer!!
