This was one of our usual date spots when we lived on the coast. We've missed it so much. Food and service is always good.

Arrived in Fort Bragg on a rainy Thursday evening and wanted to try out a local brewery. Overtime was a short walk from the Beach House Inn and I was immediately taken by its local, small town atmosphere. The place was busy with what appeared to be a local crowd, most engaged in weekly trivia night. I was warmly greeted and sampled one of their IPAs, which I would rate as good though not outstanding. The food on the other hand was outstanding; my grilled chicken sandwich was tender and tasty. The down to earth atmosphere and friendliness are a welcome for the weary traveler and the California coast is breathtaking. A decent place to try out on your journey. read more

Ina small town dominated by the more touristy North Coast Brewery, the last place we expected to find was an incredible, hyper-local little brewhouse with beer that is as tasty as anywhere I've encountered in my home town of Sacramento. We sat on the back patio (think COVID-19), and while it was a chillier day, the cozy little space was plenty warm and we chose two seats in the corner and a little table. As we walked in, a lady walking out said we "must" go with the beer flight. She was not wrong. I just re-checked the website to recall what it was I drank, but unfortunately it is not updated. Whatever the case, they had a super tasty beer infused with cucumbers from a local organic farmer. I would travel out of my way for that one. The owner was super nice and chatted with us for a couple moments at our table. Everyone was enjoying themselves, the beer was flowing and the coastal breezes kept us cool and comfortable. After a trip to Glass Beach I saw Overtime Brewery on our way out and decided to try it. Glad we did, the food was very delicious and enjoyable. We started off with the brussel sprouts and wings that were not on the menu and ended it with their homemade chili sauce. We also had the 4 four ounce sampler of their IPAs, which was very good. The brussel sprouts had their homemade sauce and Parmesan cheese which was amazing. The wings were for not on the menu had a dry rub seasoning and were smoked seasoning and we're smoked for 3 hours, very tasty. The chili bean sauce was very delicious with a hint of spice and very good for a cold day. Can't can't wait to come back and try their other dishes on the menu. read more

Stopped by this place for a flight and good food on a Friday afternoon in August. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Beer - They take chances in beer, I love the unique varieties- my favorite were the imperial peach ale (highly recommended, still hoppy and not too sweet, but obviously peachy) and jasmine green tea ale (light and a hint of jasmine, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Food - we started with the the pan fried sishioto peppers in miso sauce and parm cheese. These were amazing! Lightly blackened peppers (not spicy) and delicious salty miso sauce. Wow! Also, fries were delicious, perfect amount of crunch and flavor which is super hard to find. I also tried the Cesar salad which was good, but next time I'll try the seafood chowder. My hubs got the burger he said was tasty and a single patty probably would have been enough. Price - beer prices were normal and food seemed a bit high, but based in the quality of food and unique beer flavors, we'll probably be back If you like to support a small local business that takes risks with unique flavors, this is a must try!! read more

It's a small town brewery that truly fits Ft. Bragg. The best part of my last visit was the server Katy. She rocked! We had great service at overtime and it was a good time. We sat outside and it was a bit windy but they had heaters on the patio. I ordered the tasting flight which was about $12.00. If you enjoy different types of beer this is the place for you as they had a Jasmin green tea and the crackling Rose was a hit with our group. We did order appetizers but I didn't get any pictures, the calamari sticks were ok they lacked flavor and once cold tasted like rubber but for me that's typical of calamari sticks. A little disappointed in the goat cheese croquettes as it was really dense and just a ball of cheese. This place was by far the pleasant hole in the wall brewing company I've been to! Unfortunately we couldn't go to North Coast since we were there on their days off, however, this was just what we wanted. They have your separate types of beer and a descriptive menu with the flavors and notes. We ordered a cup of their salmon chowder and chicarrones (not on the menu online, I believe they have specials). It was absolutely delicious and the chicarrones came out crackling still! Wow! I've been here (Fort Bragg) a few times over the past year and had no idea this brewery had opened last summer. I'm glad my friend came across it as we had a great experience last weekend. Dining/drinking area is small and the bar doesn't seat many folks. First impression is it fits the blueprint used by many new breweries popping up in NorCal and beyond. If you're a brewery bum you know what I'm talking about. If you're not a brewery bum...drink more craft brew! The outdoor/patio area is also a tight fit. There were some folks out there with a couple of big dogs so we sat inside. Love dogs but it was cramped. We were greeted right away and found a table. The first odd thing (in my opinion) was the beverage menu. Tons of selection in brews and other. What I found odd was there were no descriptions of their brews. AND the server that seated us didn't offer any explanations or ask if we were first timers ...to which I would have yes and can you help us out with the differences in flavors of beer etc. For instance: more than one IPA on the menu and nothing that explains how they are different. To solve my own quandary I ordered a flight. Both my friends just went for it and ordered pints. None of us were unhappy with our choice, in fact, we left with two Crowlers. Let's talk Crowlers. I appreciate the Crowler option so I don't end up paying for and owning yet another growler. We noticed that the Abv % was not marked on the Crowlers and one didn't have a date on it. I thought it was the law to mark the % on the container but IDK. In any case, thank you for offering a choice. The food was good. Coleslaw was spicy and delicious as a side. Like seriously, I'll be back for that! The chicken in the sandwich was dreadfully over cooked and burnt. Bun was just blah. The steak sandwich and salad got a good review from my friend although the steak could have been "more pink". Pulled pork and fries was also reviewed positively by my other friend, with a super thumbs up on the fries. Second odd moment was when we paid the bill. When we ordered I asked for separate checks. The guy wrote everything on a little pad. Ok, maybe he enters it in the computer at the end. Well no. We had to go to the bar to pay, also not a big deal but we were helped by someone other than our server. So what happened was we had to repeat our orders to him to enter in the IPad. Now, I'm not a big complainer but this is weird. And if it's normal practice I wonder how many times they've been "mislead" by customers and the actual orders. Seems like a good way to lose money and if not that, it's not the best customer service. We have tried to enjoy Overtime 3 times in the last 3 years. Each time we've been there, we have been greeted with rude staff that do not realize a kind smile and professional customer service goes a long way. We were a party of 12 and we like craft beers! We support local almost exclusively and we can rack up quite a tab. We will be back to Fort Bragg next year, but Tall Guys is a better selection for good beer and great customer service. read more

The jasmine beer was okay it was so subtle I didn't taste it. , I ordered a cheeseburger with a salad.The salad was good, dressing was light and it was refreshing. New gem in town! Delicious beers, and crazy good food. Keto peeps will love Doug's Portuguese Lollypop. Steak wrapped around sausage, and grilled on a stick. It's a small plate for sure, but check out those macros! You can really tell that they marinated the steak for a decent about of time, because the meat is tender and super flavorful. I'm almost a pescatarian, and I still loved it! I am normally a sour or hazy type of girl, but the Peach Pale Ale was totally my jam. It had the flavor of a light peach tea, but had body and yumminess that had a nice finish and doesn't just fall off the palate. Super impressed. I haven't even mentioned how cute this place is yet. Nice wood tables, clean, industrial vibe. Whether you are rolling with the bros, getting cray with your girls, or have the kids in tow, you are sure to be super happy here. There are games and non alcoholic drinks, and there is even wine. If this place was in my hometown you can bet that I would be here all the time. Ok I got to say I was really excited to try this place. Walk in the place was busy. We find a table and sit down. Few min go by and one of the servers says he will be there in few. It was about 10-15 later we got to order. I'm like ok they are busy. We placed or order and was we waited I watch how disorganized this place was. One of the server was running around all disgruntled and mad. We finally get our beers as he kind throws them down. Then we get or fries and wife goes to more plate and it's super hot! No heads up be careful it's hot nothing! I'm pissed at this point! Only good thing about this place is the beer! It's was so disorganized and I was so disappointed! Decided to come here over North Coast Because the food menu looked better. We weren't disappointed. I am a beer person and usually don't venture away from my typical "go to" styles. When my husband and I looked at the beer menu we both said "this is the type of place to get a flight" because there were so many that sounded good! They've got some of the normal ones and some cool concoctions as well. A little something for everyone. The food was great. I got the warm baby kale spinach salad and shishito peppers. Both were good. My mother in-law got the pulled pork sandwich and she loved it but the coleslaw had a weird taste to her (and I) just a little too vinegary for our liking. She talked about the pulled pork all day though! My husband got the burger and he also loved it. The only thing was it was a little chilly inside (basically eating in a warehouse but it's a brewery - I get it) and the service started out a little slow but they made up for it in the last half of the experience. I had the Amarillo ipa and the imperial stout. Kenzie had the India Peach Ale. The IPAS here were decent though not my favorite. The imperial stout was very good. Kenzie loved her peach beer. For food, we ordered Shishito peppers, Caesar salad, and John's magic meat popsicle, or something like that. I forget the exact name. The meat popsicle was great. Hate to be the odd one out in these reviews, but honestly, we didn't have a good time. I love small breweries, and we frequent our local ones all the time, so our time here was really a let down. We arrived just before opening, so we and a few other parties waited outside. Someone gave us the breakdown of current operations during COVID (masks required coming in, and anywhere that's not seated at your assigned table, etc) and opened the door. Someone waiting to go in squeezed by my mother in the line, then decided she was now too close to him, and actually put hands on her to move her back. Not the business' fault, but still a bad way to start. We get in, and are seated inside so we can see the brewery and bar, which is cool. Of course tours aren't a thing right now, but we could see the brew house pretty well. Others were being seated outside on the patio, including at least one guy who never did put on a mask. "Rules for thee, but not for me" apparently Menus are dropped off, and I don't think at any time did anyone make eye contact with any of us. A number of styles looked good, so I asked if they were doing flights. The response was a nonchalant "I guess." Well, if it's not too much trouble? Dude kept looking into an adjacent room. We were able to order a flight, and it came on by. The beer was good, and interesting. If we weren't already put off by the cold and indifferent interactions, it'd have been more fun. Two of us wanted a pint each of something we tried in the flight, and a few orders to-go, but we couldn't get anyone's attention, and of course bar ordering isn't permitted right now. The other tables inside the brewery were available, except one had employee jackets on it, and the other had misc equipment. We were the only people seated in the brewery and nobody checked in or would even look over. Eventually we decided to just close out and be on our way. After about 10 minutes of being ignored, and the perception we weren't welcome in the first place, we just left cash on the table and left. It's weird to see everyone else apparently had a great time. I hope to experience that sometime if we pass back by. I'm still pulling for small business, especially breweries, but the perk of being small is being able to be personable, and that was definitely lacking. read more
