Good place to have good brews and listen to local bands. Loved the IPA that was on tap. Next to the river and great environment.

This is a relatively new micro brewery in Helena. We went at the recommendation of friends. We got up to the bar and saw they had a limited number of beers 5 to be exact. However they covered the range there was a pilsner, a red ale, a porter and a stout. Unfortunately good beer space was being taken up by an IPA. The outside area is a great spot to hang out and drink your beer. On one side you have hwy 17 and the train track on the other you have Buck Creek park. It's really cool when a train comes through but loud. I have returned several times and the beers I recommend are the red, the porter, and the stout. All of them are excellent. Actualy some of the best in the greater Birmingham area. I will definitely return to drink those great stouts and porters.

Love the Fanny pack, best hazy IPA around here. Great outdoor vibe, very chill. They also have concerts in the backyard.

I drive past this place daily. It's the old historic Helena Jail. It's been repurposed countless times with various endeavors ranging from snack bars to BBQ. None of them stuck. I anticipate a much more positive outcome for these guys. I'm driving home from my first Yelp event yesterday and I saw people. Now the sign still says coming soon. I thought it might be a soft opening so I stopped in. It was not. It was a private event that was concluding. I apologize and start to turn and walk away when I'm invited inside to meet the owner/ operators and brothers Scott and Jason. They gave me the full tour. They showed me the progress. They shared their vision. We talked beer and our favorite breweries. I may or may not have sampled a couple things they had. They have a Brown, an IPA, a Stout, a Bourbon Barrel Porter and a Pilsner. They expect to have 6 taps. At least one rotating/ seasonal. This spot is walking distance from my house. This spot is going to completely change the Old Town area which is largely boutiques and hair salons. This is a welcomed change. It's unlike anything Helena has. I'm excited for these guys. I'm excited for the change in the area. Revitalizing this area would be huge. These guys could really kick off a total transformation of the Old Town area. The plan is solid. The beer is good. The people are friendly. They plan to open anywhere from June- August this year. They both work full time jobs presently so sleep isn't something they're doing too much of these days. They are committed to doing things right not opening before they're ready. The area will be greatly improved grounds and structure has fallen into complete disrepair over the years with varied transient tenants. These guys are really putting in the work redecorating this historic building. It's going back to white according to Scott which was the original color. I can't wait to see what the future holds for these guys.

They also have other fun events including for example, a date night beer event and from what I was told, they occasionally have live bands. The atmosphere was very energetic and enjoyable. The staff were super friendly as well. I was able to get a flight of beers and must say, the Pineapple beer was super refreshing and lite...not overly sweet either. They also have ciders and wine if you're not much of a beer drinker. They also have options if you want to host an event there. Will definitely come back to visit.

I was able to same each of the three flavors that they had prior to purchase. They had raspberry lime, pineapple, and peach mango. The pineapple was just okay but I really enjoyed the other two. Since I've been drinking a lot of peach cider lately, I decided to get a glass of the raspberry lime. Really good. They also make their own wine so I had a flight of the blueberry, blackberry, and the peach. My favorite was the peach. Blackberry was very good. The blueberry was my least favorite. They have a food truck every night so that is really nice if you want dinner. I saw they also offer a variety of snacks for the table. They seem to have quite a few events so check the calendar. We chatted a lot with 2 of the staff members, Rachel and Shay. They were super nice. Ambiance is very chill and you can bring your dog on a leash. We are excited to come back here since they offer more than just beer and I can't wait for their fall ciders!!

I ordered their IPA but was brought out something else. This was quickly resolved. I enjoyed the IPA. There was a private party in the upstairs portion. This seems like a decent spot to have a small gathering. By adding food to the menu this is indeed a PLUS. Staff was cool. My server was new.

Walked in around 8:30pm last night, it was packed and everyone looked like they were having a great time! Apparently Monday nights are Bingo nights and, of course, we joined in on the fun. Everyone was super friendly and playing Bingo was pretty exciting actually lol. Besides the wide variety of beers available, they also have a menu with a good selection of food items that are reasonably priced. Surprisingly, the place is family friendly and kids would definitely love their root beer. I saw an adorable little girl going around helping people by collecting used Bingo sheets. She deserved a tip, haha. Oak Mountain Brewing Company is pretty spacious and would work well for events or work functions. I was too busy playing Bingo last night to check out their upstairs spacing, but it seems like a good area for private parties or just for people watching. I will have to check it out next time!
