We went during CNY, and it was our 3rd visit. First time was dimsum lunch, just very so-so, nothing impressive. Second time was around Christmas with another family, dinner was slightly better, thinking it might be worth a next visit. But what a great disappointment we had!
1. Treasure Duck $68.80 - was highly recommended by our server, but the taste was just blend and yuck. The meat is dry, duck felt like it was refrigerated for a long time. Will NOT trust their recommendations, as business is brisk, hence chef will tend to pressure servers to promote the over-stock, esp. the pricier ones. Lesson learned.
2. Gourd/Pork/Bean pot $22.80 - just horrible taste, the ingredients do not go well at all! Greasy, ill-looking that the first look kills your appetite immediately.
3. Mushroom & Melon $20.80 - half-hearted done dish, melon was cut in huge pieces, not even skinned properly, mushroom is tasteless, yet another failure.
4. Sponge Gourd with Tofu $20.80 - this was the dish we came back for, had a very good experience prior BUT totally disappointed this time. Tofu was over-fried (darken brown skin), very greasy stock compared to before. Inconsistent.
5. Hwa Diao Chicken $22.80 - overcooked chicken, dry and blend, will not recommend.
6. Stir Fried Beans - average
7. Steam Fish - average
8. Braised Beef Shank - average
