This is going to be a long review... When my son was a year old my son used to be okay with haircuts until Covid hit. Once he saw everyone in face masks he was dramatized. The lady who used to cut his hair would come to our house to cut his hair and he still yelled and moved around. It was hard on me to hold my son as he was crying his lungs out and pinning him down so he doesn't move. I looked up a children's salon and this place was 15 minutes from my house. I called to book an appointment and I was scheduled the same day. They only had two same day appointments available. I was so nervous for the hairstylist that will be cutting my son's hair and for the customers who had to put up with my son's cry. Instead, Janet made my son so comfortable by telling me that he can choose any "chair" or play station to sit/stand to cut his hair. Once my son found the place he liked, Janet made her way over. She gave him a container full of little toys to make even more comfortable. He was super happy! Janet moved on to showing him the equipment she would be using. When Janet saw that my son was about to start crying she gently placed the machine on his back and he started laughing. It tickled him. She then placed it on his chest, neck and head. My son was so comfortable with his toys, lollipop, and Janet that he forgot how dramatized he was of getting haircuts. I am so happy with my experience! And my son's hair cut came out great!!! A friend of mine posted on Instagram about this place and I had to try it! I am extremely disappointed!! This place is cute that's it. You pay just for kid to sit in a car. First of all the hair cut was so rushed less than 5 min! This isn't my sons first hair cut so I know it shouldn't take such a short time. I love this place! I took my 6 year old son and my 4 year old son who is autistic, Silvia cut my 4 year old hair and she did such an amazing job! shockingly he sat down by himself and did not make a fuss at all she was super gentle with him and cut his hair perfectly! My 6 year olds haircut also came out great I forgot who cut his hair but she did a good job and she was also very kind! HORRIBLE JOB/ RUINED MY SON'S HAIR!!! How shameful of you Eloise to cut my precious son's hair and think it will be okay to send him his way after 15mn. You obviously do NOT take any pride in your work. This is not the first time my son had his hair cut, I have been cutting it for a year now (multiple times went from all curly to straight hair) and he's 2.5yr. I choose this place not only because of the good reviews but specially because it seems like they were inclusive and patient with all kiddos. My husband and I decided prior to the appt what we wanted for our son, I was unable to go and I was a little hesitant but I thought it will be okay but sadly it wasn't.We knew my son was going to be nervous and throw a tantrum (He's a toddler of course he isn't going to sit still specially with a stranger touching his head) My husband said he expected them to use anything to distract him or be friendly and all they did was sit him in the car chair and play TV. He was disappointed as well since he is the one who have been looking at this place for like a year now. Like really no interaction or toys or anything else to gain his trust? Also $35 plus tip is what they charged if your curious. I just wish they would have told my husband "Hey, let's try on a different day" or "why don't you come back and we can do it in sections"? I would have like that more and pay/drive him back to get it fixed if that what it took but they don't have the best interest at heart so shame on that particular stylist. read more

This morning I went to take my 13 month old baby boy to get his haircut thinking this place specializes with kids his age. A woman who I didn't get her name cut my babies ear pretty bad with scissors, she still tried pulling my sons piece of skin off so I wouldn't see how deep the cut was. She kept saying it was fine it was nothing. I had to rush him to the hospital cuz it was bleeding so much. The doctor said luckily he didn't need stitches so they just put a liquid glue. I'm pretty sure she didn't mean to do it but she wasn't careful enough knowing she had a baby as a client. I feel so guilty for bringing my baby here. I'm just putting this out there so that other parents don't feel the way I do. read more

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon to get my son's 1st haircut. I called 20 minutes prior to coming in for an appointment and luckily they were able to squeeze us in. We were greeted by Alma who took care of my son's haircut. She was nice and very accommodating. My son did not like the whole cutting of the hair process and he cried the whole time. I supposed this is normal especially when its kids younger than 2. She made us feel at ease especially because my husband was a bit embarrassed because my son's has a really loud cry. The place itself is kid friendly, they have little cars where you can sit the kids for their haircuts, as well as a play area and arcade. Not to sure though how often they clean the toys that are left out for the kids to play with, as the ones I happened to look at were a bit filthy. As for the price of the haircut I would say its a bit pricey. $22 for a toddler seems quite the high range especially since kids dont really have much hair. The first haircut experience however included a picture of the after look and a piece of hair as a keepsake and a certificate. Although our experience was up to par, the only reason I would probably look for a more another place to go to is for the affordable prices. read more

This place messed up my daughters haircut. Initially when she was getting her hair cut I saw the lady doing it called someone to assist her to cut it and I knew then the haircut would be bad. She had no idea what she was doing and just left uneven layers and cut her horrible bangs without us even asking for them. I brought my 2 year old here once before and loved how Ramona treated my child and cut his hair. Decided to go back. I went back today and regret it. Ramona wasn't the one to cut his hair, it was a woman with purple hair (sorry I don't know the name) but my poor sons head looks terrible. I only bring my kids in for haircuts about once a year but they love coming here. Everyone is very friendly and nice, and decent pricing! They have plenty of stuff to keep the little ones distracted. It's not the fanciest salon but they are well equipped for children's haircuts, having various vehicles for the kids to sit in and being stocked with toys and candy and balloons and even a play area in the back. I have been coming here my entire life and can't imagine going anywhere else. I am 24 years old and still have a polaroid pcture on the rocking horse after my 1st haircut. I have always either gone to liza or sylvia, they both do a wonderful job. My mother has come here for the past 24 years as well. She gets her hair colored and cut primarily by liza. My mom can be unusually picky, so for her to be happy really says something. Everyone who works here knows what they are doing and the prices are very reasonable. I have very fond memories of coming here as a kid. I always looked forward to getting my hair put in two braids after the cut and liza would even put glitter in it. My hair was absolutely gorgeous back then. I also looked forward to the free balloons, animal cookies, movies, and video games. It is definitely a great place to bring kids and also great for adults as well. They are very professional and wonderful people. The only negative I could say is the parking lot is quite small, but i have always managed to find a spot. read more

I have worn my hair short for years, more in a punky/spiky style. The problem was that I was growing tired of it. While it was incredibly easy to care for, and while Silvia always cut it exactly like I wanted, I simply was due for a change. Yet, I was afraid. What would I do with my hair? How would it look while growing out? What style do I even want? I trust Silvia IMPLICITLY, and I knew she would do what she needed, but I just lacked confidence in myself to figure it all out. Last year, when I was out ill with a rather debilitating respiratory illness, I was forced to stay home for several months. Couldn't do anything or go anywhere. However, by the time I returned to see Silvia, my hair had grown way longer than usual, and she asked me again (as she had for the past 2-3 years) if I wanted to start growing it out. Reluctantly, this time I said yes. Lo and behold, she styled and cut it really cute, and it actually looked longer than I thought it would. Presently, while my hair isn't long compared to others, it is for ME. It's now down over my ears (coming from punk short), and Silvia has me using a straightener. While it's still a work in progress (trying to grow it even longer with an actual style in mind, Silvia has cut it soooooooooo cute. I get compliments almost daily. SERIOUSLY !! It's a completely different look (mostly because I straighten it), and I am AMAZED at how different I look with this new style (longer, straighter hair). Plus, it makes me look younger.......and at my age, I will take all the help I can get !! While I spent all this time talking about me, the point is, Silvia is the TRUE Wizard of Hair. I think her shop is aptly themed with Wizard of Oz memorabilia, but it's because she is the TRUE Wizard. She works her magic with those scissors, and while I NEVER thought I'd be able to reproduce what she does for me in her shop, the truth is, she cut it so perfectly and spent time showing me how to style/straighten my hair......it's STILL working. I owe it ALL to Silvia. I always do. Silvia's not alone, either. For all the years I've been coming here, as much time as I've logged in Silvia's chair, I sit and watch many others walk through those doors.......young and old alike........men, women, teens on down to a child's first haircut. I must say, I have witnessed the impossible happen........some very loving, caring, skilled hair stylists, able to cut the hair PERFECTLY on some of the squirmiest, unhappiest, hysterically crying children going. I am always amazed they accomplish cutting their hair...and well. Every teen and adult I watch walks out with such great haircuts/styles, there is a smile on everyone's face. That is why this shop gets 5 stars.......and that is why they deserve it !! read more

After bringing my 1 1/2 year old son here for the third time I feel I can now review this salon. On my first visit I wasn't so pleased with my sons hair cut. However, before she stared she wanted to know what we wanted but my husband and I had two different ideas so it made it hard on her. Before she would cut anything she would ask us both so she did exactly what we told her. The second time around my son wasn't having it, but the stylist again did a great job of entertaining him while also cutting his hair. This last time my son was so much better and again Jenny was super sweet! My only complain would be that they never used any product on his hair to complete the style.. Looooove it here. I went in not knowing what the deal was and I'm so glad I went. They have a play area for kiddies to play in and cars for them to sit in while getting their haircut.
