I called Mike for a leak that I found was happening on Saturday night, and he helped to make sure I had it under control so that he could come on Monday to get the job done. He quickly diagnosed the issue, ran out for some parts, and had a broken pipe repaired within 3 hours. It was really a sight to see him with no hesitation to cut through damaged dry wall and work through sewage water. He continued to follow up after and give tips as I worked with a remediation company to clean up the sewage-contaminated areas. If you're looking for a methodical, professional operation where you can call to the scheduler, get a receipt on nice letterhead, have a technician come with a crisp white shirt, and always be called sir and madam, then Mike isn't for you. One trend I'm noticing in this day and age, is the gradual diminishing in the number of skilled…read morecontractors (handy-men, plumbers etc.) available, which seems like a sad but natural consequence with the continued proliferation of technology. You've probably noticed a trend in which contractors are getting harder and more expensive to book, and good contractors even more so. With this in mind, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience in contracting Saddleback Plumbing to do work at my laboratory. Saddleback Plumbing has been our company's plumbing contractor for the last few years, but I've only recently become the point of contact, taking over facility management. We recently discovered a leak in our piping, so I called Saddleback that afternoon and the dispatcher picked up my call and scheduled a plumber to come the next morning. The plumber who showed up, named Memo, was very friendly and knowledgeable. After showing him the leak, he informed us that he'd have to shut off the water to the building, but waited patiently for us to get everything situated before shutting it down. He performed the job (replaced a section of copper piping) in short order and went on his way. The next morning we discovered that there was a 2nd leak in a PVC pipe just above the copper one! I called Saddleback and again, the dispatcher picked up right away. I explained the new issue, and she scheduled Memo to come back out that same afternoon. He came out once again very friendly. I asked if it was possible that we identified and repaired the wrong pipe, and if the PVC was possibly dripping onto the copper pipe. Memo explained why this wasn't the case, and then took a look at the new issue. He explained that the PVC pipe was a condenser line for our HVAC system, and that the connector joints were not robustly sealed (by the contractor who installed it), on top of that, the run of PVC pipe was loosely secured to the wall and it's vibration caused wear on the seal. He took out the joint and resealed it. He then added extra reinforcement to the PVC pipe running along the wall to add stability. The whole job took him about 20 minutes to complete, and since we didn't have a satisfactory outcome after the first visit, he did not charge us for this 2nd fix despite it being a different pipe. So from my experience, Saddleback Plumbing was very responsive both times, sent the plumber out promptly both times, and the man who came out, Memo was a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. 5 stars from my experience!

Saddleback Plumbing Fails on the Very Simplest of Tasks…read more Saddleback Plumbing had been the go-to plumber for our home for many years, but never again. Very low energy with zero commitment to customer service and completing a job properly. We had a leaky faucet that required a new stem. Not some old vintage system, but a modern fixture for which parts are readily available. After their service I went to use the faucet and the handle just fell off into my hand. It had only been placed on top. I called Saddleback Plumbing back and noted this and they said, well, we can get back out next week. Wow. He came out again, looked at it, mickeyed around with the useless set screw which could clearly only accomplish nothing, and left again. The issue is quite obvious as you will see in the attached video. Instead of fetching the proper replacement part he just went to his van and grabbed something that worked for him (resolving the drip), but not for us and our faucet. He installed it, collected payment and walked out. Pretty ridiculous. And seeing as this was a call back, it might be customary for the company to follow up with a call to see that everything was resolved properly. No such call. I leave this review so others can think twice about bringing them in to do perhaps a serious job. I would be horrified if it was done at this level. Every time guests use our restroom, they are sure to mention to us that the handle is broken and needs attention - a nice repetitive reminder of the standard of excellence you can count on from Saddleback Plumbing.

When I discovered I had a slab leak, I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. From the moment Daniel and Jonny arrived, they were professional, kind, and completely on top of it. They didn't just do the bare minimum -- they were thorough and relentless in tracking down the actual source of the leak, which turned out to be more complex than expected. Through their diligence, they discovered the leak was also affecting my next-door neighbor's unit. Rather than treating that as someone else's problem, they stepped up, communicated directly with my neighbor, clearly explained the situation to both of us, and made sure we each understood exactly what was happening and what the next steps would be. What really stood out was how seamlessly they handled everything -- including working directly with our HOA to coordinate the repair process. That kind of initiative and professionalism is rare. They kept everyone informed, stayed calm under pressure, and never made us feel like we were in the dark. If you're dealing with a plumbing issue, especially something serious, don't hesitate. South County Plumbing Inc. is the real deal, and Daniel and Jonny are exactly the kind of people you want showing up at your door. Fast, knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely dedicated to getting it right. Truly so grateful for them.
