But, our captain made a special trip to the lighthouse for us and got to see it from the water. The sunsetting was beautiful and the sound was quiet and peaceful. We're not on boats very often so it was a nice evening. Plus, the boat is a smaller 12 person vessel that made it a more adventurous boat ride than the bigger boats that some of the other companies use.

Mermaid Nina's friend, Pinky Plankton, guided us on a lovely boat ride to search for Nina. Pinky made the ride fun - interacting with the children, and educated us all about how to protect our oceans. The boat ride was an hour and fifteen minutes. The perfect amount of time for young children. The boat is comfortable and holds approximately 20 to 25 people. Once Nina was found, she stayed in character the entire time. Even when the evil Professor Al G tried to kidnap her. Nina explained how to protect the ocean and encouraged questions from children and adults too. When I was scheduling this excursion, I thought it was a little pricey, but after the experience was over (and watching how much fun my daughter had) I changed my mind and realized it was worth every penny! We took this boat ride to meet Nina over a month ago and my daughter is still talking about it! Highly recommend!

Finding him and the boat was easy and he was ready to go. We took advantage of the cooler on board and thanks for the blanket because it did get cold once the sun set. We learned a lot about the Savannah waterways and history but at the same time we also got to just sit and take in the incredible sunset and dolphins. You can tell he just loves doing this! For starters, because I have food allergies, we were told we had to move from our assigned table and stuck in the back corner. My Mahi mahi was decent nothing more. My wife's chicken was like a kids portion. We saw other tables with much larger portions. She did not have the fennel salad topping either. We asked the server why and he did not know. He admitted her serving was smaller. Said it might be due to my allergies. Yet my wife has no allergies. No one ever asked her prior to serving I felt like I was a second class citizen.
