We met him at a nice marina on Wilmington Island and he took us everywhere. Our favorite spot was the historic Daufuskie island. You can only get there by boat. It was about an hour long, super relaxing ride there. We all laid out on the front of the boat and caught some sun before arriving at this secluded island. Rented a golf cart and rode around with our drinks. Saw some great property, unique animals, super creepy burial grounds, and learned a ton of history from the natives. Marshside mamas had some delicious food and a live band. All around a wonderful time and not as expensive as you might think!

Our trip was filled with a lot of rain, but we were so thankful to have a morning like this. The boat ride was magical. Captain Seth told us all about the area, the community, the wildlife and more. We enjoyed fresh pastries before heading further out. We got to explore a sandbar filled with pelicans and other majestic birds. We got to see dolphins---something Seth kept us out longer to make sure we got to experience. He dropped us off closer to a coffee shop and gave us tips on what to explore on Tybee. We were so thankful for this portion of our trip. I cannot suggest this enough. We were to glad we included this in our 3 day itinerary.

We found Sundial Charters had what we were looking for and after calling and posting to FaceBook we were able to connect and make plans for them to take us to Little Tybee. Captains Dave and Rene communicated well with us including instructions where to meet and we took a 4 hour boating trip to Little Tybee and surrounding area. Rene came shell hunting with us and she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the types of shells, the environment, and the wildlife/ birds that are in the area. Dave shared history of the island and marsh as he guided the boat through the waterways. My husband and I were very impressed by their knowledge and welcoming demeanor. We go so many sand dollars it was like Easter! It was indeed a pleasure that we hope to repeat on our next visit to Tybee. Maybe next time we'll try fossil hunting.

The narration was informative, and seeing the massive cargo ships and waterfront activity was a unique experience. The boat was spacious, with both indoor seating and outdoor viewing areas. We ordered the chicken tenders and fries, and they were surprisingly good--definitely above average for food on a sightseeing cruise. We also opted for the 42 oz souvenir drink, which was well worth it if you plan on enjoying a few drinks during the cruise. It lasts the full three-hour experience, and the bartender was fantastic--friendly, personable, and made a great drink. Unfortunately, it rained during part of our cruise, which likely impacted the experience since we couldn't spend as much time outside taking in the views. Of course, the weather isn't something the company can control, and there was plenty of indoor seating to stay comfortable. Overall, this was a fun and worthwhile experience that I'd recommend to first-time visitors, couples, and families. Between the scenic views, interesting narration, better-than-expected food, and excellent bar service, it was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours on the Savannah River. I'd definitely return--hopefully on a sunny day next time.

There was some history mixed in along the way, which was interesting, and the whole experience was relaxing. The food was probably the weakest part for me. It was served buffet style with fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus fruit. It wasn't bad, but it was all pretty lukewarm and just didn't leave much of an impression. That said, I don't think people are booking this for the food anyway. You're booking it for the views, the boat, and the experience. We had fun, enjoyed the ride, and I'm glad we did it.

Finding him and the boat was easy and he was ready to go. We took advantage of the cooler on board and thanks for the blanket because it did get cold once the sun set. We headed over to the lighthouse and got the tickets. They have senior discounts, military discounts, and various deals, but the price is very reasonable and it includes your trip up the lighthouse and you also have the museum across the street that has so much detail you can spend hours there. The view from the top of the lighthouse gives you such an amazing perspective of Tybee Island and the beach is enormous and you can see quite a bit of it from the top of the lighthouse. Make sure you're in good physical condition to walk up 196 stairs, which is like six levels up. They limit the number of people that can go up the lighthouse all at one time so it doesn't get congested up at the top. They keep just a handful of people going at one time.

Tybee Island is around 30 minutes away in a cozy little coastal town. The rate to go in the lighthouse covers the lighthouse and their museum. We only had time for the lighthouse. The price is $12 for adults and $10 for children. Children 5 and under are free. I was surprised they allow children of all ages. Normally there is a height restriction. My youngest (4) was thrilled because he's always wanted to join on our family tradition but was too short or young. He did a excellent job along with our (8) year old and my husband walking up the 178 steps. This is the tallest lighthouse in Georgia and the climb is fairly easy in my opinion. There is a break at every 25 steps where you can look out a window or just take a breath and let people pass if needed. The view from above is beautiful. You can see the water. There is no staff member at the top and the staff do not spend long explaining the lighthouse but there are signs to read. Overall it was a good experience and it's a beautiful lighthouse. Worth the visit. Next time we will carve time for the m
