By 7:40 he netted more bait then we could use. Off into the Atlantic we went for the adventure. Once anchored, within 10 minutes, we had our first bites - but we couldn't get them reeled in. Then it got exciting. Over the next hour and a half we caught FIVE SHARKS - a HAMMERHEAD, BONNETHEAD, BLACK TIP and 2 BLACK NOSE. We were able to bring 4 of them into the boat for a picture before we threw them back. Our 21-year-old daughter got the trophy for the day as she reeled in a 5 foot long BLACK TIP SHARK that was well over the boat limited - WAY to big to handle (well over 100 lbs) so Captain Ben cut the hook out while leaning next to the boat and let him go. Thank you to Captain Ben and Off the Hook Fishing Charters for making one of the best memories ever!

But Captain Steve was on it and made sure to phone us in the morning as we devised a potential plan/time in the afternoon to touch base before we called it. We tracked the weather through the day, and once the afternoon rolled around, he said as long as it was good at departure time, we could go out and described the plans he had depending on what weather we might have. Thankfully, the day turned itself around and it was gorgeous by sailing time. We were able to bring our own drinks and snacks, so we got those onboard and we were off. I mentioned that I'd really love to see dolphins, if he knew where they might be. Either Captain Steve or his son Zach, who came along to help, made sure to point out any dolphins that were seen. We even got close to a couple which was a really neat experience. We had the option to sit back inside the boat or up top, and could move around as we pleased. We had such a fun and relaxing time during our sail. Captain Steve is super experienced and was very comfortable answering all the questions we had. His boat is well maintained and has a bathroom on board (bonus when you're on a 4 hour sail with drinks!) Highly recommend anyone looking for a unique experience to contact Captain Steve.

Being it is a holiday we get there early and have breakfast within walking distance so we can get parking. Must have been our lucky day as we got the best parking space in the lot. We were instructed to arrive 45 minutes before the tour. Since we were there and checked in early as was the other group of six we left actually a few minutes early. The weather was perfect and we had on plenty of sunscreen. JD led the boats to different spots on the island so that we were able to see Dolphins. I was surprised that in the middle of the day that we were able to see so many. JD was kind and took pictures and sent them to everyone through What's App. What a great way to spend the day as well learn the island. The entire length of the trip was 2 1/2 hours. It was both fun and educational, making the trip so much more enriching. Speaking of fun, Captain Cory's enthusiasm was infectious! Captain Chip was super helpful as it was my first time fishing on the ocean. He taught me how to properly reel in a fish/shark. Gave me tons of tips and was very personable! Went shark fishing with Chip and we ended up catching 2 stingrays 1 35 pound black tip shark and a monster 12ft 600+ pound hammerhead shark!!! Finding him and the boat was easy and he was ready to go. We took advantage of the cooler on board and thanks for the blanket because it did get cold once the sun set.
