Parking is easy and reasonable enough. The area itself is a bit depressed, but seems safe enough. Ushers are friendly and helpful, elevator and bar service have fun offerings and bathrooms are fine. Not a strip mall stage wedged between a nail salon and a frozen yogurt shop. A real theater. The kind that feels like it was built for big voices, bright lights, and the occasional crowd singing along a little too loudly after a couple of pre-show drinks. That's the first thing you notice about the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Sitting right along the river in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the place just looks like it belongs there. Modern lines, big glass, clean design. But at the same time it still carries the charm and warmth you expect from a classic theater. It feels like a venue that was designed for nights out. Once inside, the layout works well. Sightlines are excellent. Whether you're down low or up in the higher seats, the stage is easy to see and you never feel like you're watching from a bad angle. But here's the one thing that caught us by surprise. The sound system struggles a bit when you get up into the higher seats. The speakers just don't quite reach that far with the same clarity, so the sound can come across a little muffled. Here's the pro tip. If you're sitting high, save the money and go cheaper on the ticket because the sound quality up there probably won't match what you'd expect from a premium seat anyway. The parking situation has actually improved. Getting in is easier now that they switched to the pay by plate app system. You drive in, park, handle the payment on your phone and head to the show. Simple. Leaving, however, is another story. Getting out of the parking lot after a show can feel like a bit of an adventure. This is where patience becomes part of the evening's entertainment. Give yourself time and don't expect a quick exit. We saw Darius Rucker last night, and even with the sound challenges in the higher seats, it was still a really fun night. Good music, a great crowd, and the kind of energy that makes live shows worth it every time. Here's the move if you're coming here. Go early. Grab dinner or drinks somewhere nearby. Walk over without rushing and enjoy the atmosphere around the theater. And when the show ends, don't fight the traffic. Take your time and let the crowd thin out. Do it that way and the Broward Center becomes exactly what it should be. An outstanding way to spend a Saturday night.

The venue is new, intimate, and small enough that you can really enjoy and connect with the artist. They also offer drinks and merchandise like shirts for purchase, which adds to the experience. It's especially nice to have a theater like this in Wilton Manors, since the area typically doesn't have many performance venues. They already have an impressive lineup of upcoming events at very reasonable prices. I'm especially excited that Dr. Anthony Fauci will be speaking there soon -- that's something I'd love to attend. Another big plus: free parking, which makes visiting even easier.

I'm…read moreused to the smaller Wilton Manors indie performance theaters with about 50-60 seats, so Gray Box Theater fitting 240 guests is a game changer in the city. Located in a nondescript shopping strip mall, the exterior is indeed a "gray box" whose former life was an auction house among other things. Inside everything is new and modern. Two-story red drapery along the walls really make the interior pop. The removable chairs were comfortable, especially the ones in the front VIP rows. The floor gently slopes down to the stage, but not really enough if someone tall sits in front of me. At least it felt they staggered the seating so you weren't completely sitting behind someone's head. I went to a performance by Alex Zenoz and his band, The Birds of Paradise. I met Alex when he was a singer/pianist at The West End Lounge in Wilton Manors. This was a completely different act! With the state-of-the-art theater sound and lighting equipment, the concert was fantastic! The only minor complain is that the lobby is very small, especially with the bar open and people trying to buy drinks. It was pretty tight waiting to enter the theater, but with good weather we could stand outside. Gray Box Theater is a great addition to Wilton Manors, and it's nice to see a new community-focused (mainly LGBTQ) space for artists and guests. One more huge plus: plenty of free parking! Practically unheard of in these parts.

There's also a covered drive up circle in front for drop off and pick up as needed. The center is easy to navigate and get around wherever you're on the ground floor or up on the balcony. I was here this past Sunday for a student dance recital. Shows at 12 pm and 4:30 pm. Staff was organized and event was a hit. Amazing dance performances from the Academy of Arts recital featuring Icons dance showcase. This is a yearly dance recital and a full on production with amazing costumes and choreography. This venue is available for private events rentals, concerts , comedy, meetings and cultural celebrations. This is the most active entertainment spot in Coral Springs.

This time, we returned to check out Adam Ray who is a comedian and has a special on Netflix called The Adam Ray Show with new episodes every Friday. We got show tickets along with Meet & Greet tickets. This venue is just beautiful with a classic & elegant vibe. Cocktails are pricey at $25 for liquor beverages. We ended up getting Bacardi Mojito canned drinks. Our friend bought us drinks so not sure the cost but we knew we wanted to stay away from the $25 cocktails. Ha. We had awesome seats about 10 rows back in the middle section. They started almost promptly at 7pm with the opener which we didn't remember his name but he was funny. Got the crowd hyped up for Adam Ray. Let me tell you, Adam Ray was HILARIOUS!!! Great material. Our faces hurt from laughing so much. Be warned this is not family friendly material whatsoever. Lol. We also got the Meet & Greet package so after the show, we remained in the auditorium and they moved us to the front to wait for Adam Ray to come back out for the Meet & Greet. We waited for a little while before he came out. But he was so good and so personable with everyone that the wait was worth it. They ushered each group to wait in line to go on stage to meet him, shake his hand, talk to him and then he spoiled everyone with merch like hats, t-shirts, hoodies and a signed poster. So cool. Adam Ray is so down to earth and a genuine guy! So funny too because during the show, he was telling jokes at like 150 mph and then during the Meet & Greet, he was mad chill. Polar opposite. Hahaha. The Parker is an elegant venue with the opportunity to upgrade to The Haller Club! Totally worth the additional ticket! First, the Parker Team are all incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional! I'm amazed every time I attend a concert they are consistently welcoming! The renovation is absolutely incredible! Beautiful! Definitely upgrade to the Haller Club! The atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable even for a single person... The display of food is 5 Stars! The options are endless! From cheese, fruit, salad, fresh rolls, butter, always 2 hot appetizers, display of mini desserts and fresh fruit! A dedicated bartender with complimentary wine,beer and water bottles. The mini spanakopita and pork sliders were our hot options. Delicious! The service, food and ambiance are all 5 Stars!! Now to the Happy Together tour! Brilliant performance by all involved! Each act outdid the other! The audience sang along to each song! Especially with Gary Puckett! I hope the venue continues with showcasing the bands from the 60's, 70's and 80's! Yes! It's about insects carrying an egg around. It comes out after every segment carried by the comedic relief insects. I was not very cleared on what the egg had to do with anything. I still don't. It is part of the Broward Theater of the Performing Arts network, so they bring good quality shows all throughout the year. Service is also very good from the support staff on site, and they have a small concession stand in the lobby area. And a nice bonus is that parking is available right next to the theater for an extremely reasonable rate: $1.25/hour. This is our favorite theater in the area.

All very highly trained and their performance showing their skill levels and artistic talent. Some are actually continuing their dance journey into their college years. I'm sure we will be seeing those that continue their training to appear in ballet ensembles as well as other dance related professions. The recital was long; one suggestion is to break up the recital into two portions during the year if it's feasible; just my two cents. Overall, great training and great talented dancers.
