I just LOVE Manila! Over the years, it's become a hub of local treasures, concept stores and gastronomical delights. You don't have to go out of town or out of the country to be entertained or have fun or to try something new. Every corner has a place just waiting to be discovered!
Here comes Outré (ooh-trey aka "weird" in French) Manila where they sell gelato made from liquid nitrogen! #WhoaScience! I've seen experimental chefs make these on the Food Network and I've always wanted to try them. In Outré, they have all kinds of flavors to choose from and the gelato (not ice cream, there's a difference XD) is made in front of you, so A+ for presentation. Definite eye candy. Some have syringes with syrup on them and I just love the whole concept. If you follow my reviews, you'll know that I adore gory things, so details like these are icing on the cake for me. The taste of the gelato isn't all that and could be better. They need to balance out the flavors. Some are too sweet and some too salty.
Food is okay and the price point isn't worth it. The gelato's pricing for P150 is good considering they use liquid nitrogen and have a rockin' presentation. I also like their fun names like "Bye, Felicia", "Don't Forget Me" and "Kick Me". Best visit mainly for the unique ice cream experience. read more
