Outlaws reminds me of old Las Vegas with a casino, pool hall, restaurant, and bar. The throw-back vibe of the old west gambling parlor with a touch of dive bar is cool. The pool tables were busy all night and they had a good live local band Friday night. Their chili was great and their prime rib dinners looked sizable. There aren't a lot of places like this still left so check it out if you like old school charm.

Service: 5 star. Our server was great, friendly, informative and considering he was also the bartender he did an outstanding job. Food: 4 star. We ordered the prime dip sandwich, club sandwich, outlaw burger, fish and chips, with wine and margaritas. The club sandwich was HUGE and delicious. The prime dip sandwich was a good size and tasty. The outlaw burger was larger than average and didn't disappoint. The fish and chips were very filling. The cut of the fries were the best, the fry on the onion rings was addicting, and the tater tots were nostalgic. The food was not bad, but it could have used a tad more seasoning (at least salt and pepper on all). Ambiance: 4 star. The beats were mixed tonight and right up my alley. Apparently they have live music as well. There were a few people at the bar when we got there and nobody at the dining tables where the pool tables are also located. At around 830 people started playing pool, people were on the outdoor patio and the crowd was definitely picking up. I did see a sign on the wall that happy hour starts at 10 pm. Cleanliness: 2 star. The place is a dive. I mean, it is called "Outlaws" after all. It would def not pass post CoVid inspections LOL... thank god we are past that for now. The menus had mold on them. The tables were not picked up after or wiped down. Overall it had a grubby nightclub feel to it. I got the feeling that was the crowd they were catering to mostly? Since this was our first time here, we were actually there to have dinner. Outlaws seems like a cool place to come have a good time, grab a drink, play some pool, listen to some good music, and play some cards. I don't think I'll be back for dinner with my parents LOL but likely will pop in for an appetizer, some drinks, and pool with my girls.

Haven't been there in quite a few years. Was decent. Thought I would try again. MISTAKE!!! Wouldn't eat here again!!! WAY OVER PRICED, SO NOT WORTH IT!!! Had the Ribeye Sliced Steak sandwich a few days ago. Sounded tasty. WRONG, over cooked sliced Ribeye, chewy, french fries meh, service poor. Just wanting to talk and serve the MEN and ignore the Women. You really don't deserve a gratituty how you treat REAL CUSTOMERS whatever gender they are or whether dressed casually because they are not up to YOUR standards because they are not regulars or a MAN. Another line of work and not in the public area??? Not worth going through this DRAMA AGAIN

I decided to try the outlaw cheese steak sandwich with a side of tater tots for lunch. Overall I rate the Outlaws Bar & Grill a three stars. Food was just your good greasy bar food. Melted cheese, thin sliced rib eye, toasted buns, crunchy tater tots, side of creamy ranch accompanied by a nice ice cold root beer under a neon beer sign surrounded by locals was my experience. Overall my meal was well portioned, good ingredients were used, my meal was prepared swiftly and excellent customer service. Our waitress was friendly and on top of things. For the ambiance, dark, old dive sports bar with a plethora of unique wispy scents.

Just picked up a to-go food order for an early Father's Day. Feeding 3 adults and a young kid and EVERYONE loved their food. We ordered: 12oz Top Sirloin cooked Medium with a baked potato and clam chowder. Dad remarked, "This is probably the best top sirloin I have ever had... hardly any fact and cooked perfectly. This chef knows what he is doing." Chicken Fried Steak with beer battered fries and clam chowder. BF remarked, "This is the best clam chowder I have ever had. The amount and size of the clams is amazing." I ordered the French Dip with Pepperjack cheese and onion rings. It was delicious. The au jus was flavorful and the meat was tender and full of flavor. Onion rings were the right amount of crispy and great to dip. Daughter's cheeseburger and fries portion was HUGE. Totally snagged some of her beer battered fries to dip in my au jus. This is a hidden gem. This isn't just bar food. This is GREAT food. The price is super reasonable for the quality and portions you receive!!

The location is far enough away from the perpetual sidewalk smoker for it not to drift in our door or window, another yay, since I have health issues related to secondhand smoke. Both units are very clean, minus the ceiling issues in one unit, the staff checks daily for cleaning the room, towels are readily available, and the pool appears clean, even though it's still a little chilly for a dip.

I booked this knowing exactly what it was: an inexpensive Motel 6 for one night. I wasn't expecting…read moreluxury. Our upgraded room was okay-ish--the AC worked great and it appeared partially renovated--but the USB ports and bedside light didn't work, the refrigerator cabinet was badly damaged, chunks of wood were missing around the bathroom doorway, and the security latch on the entry door was loose and pulling out of the frame. The overwhelming cleaning-product smell when we entered was strong enough to give me a headache. The property is apparently undergoing renovations, but you'd barely know it. Parts of the front honestly look abandoned, with empty rooms and doors partially stripped of paint, while construction materials are scattered around the pool/back area. Some basic signage explaining that renovations are underway would go a long way. But my real problem was feeling unsafe and then having that concern dismissed. I was a woman traveling alone with my teenage son. Three adult men we did not know had set up chairs essentially one door down from us with a case of Modelo and multiple 40-ounce beers. They were drinking there around 4 p.m. when we arrived, still there when we left around 6, and still there when we returned around 9:45. To be absolutely fair, the men never approached us, threatened us or made excessive noise. They were strangers, though, and I had no way of knowing them or how intoxicated they might become. Their gathering also obstructed the normal walkway to our room enough that I crossed the lawn and either went around them or stepped over a small retaining wall rather than walk directly through three drinking men to get to my door. As a woman alone with her son, that did not feel safe or comfortable. I reported it to the front desk. The first employee said she'd walk down there; my son confirmed she did, but nothing changed. When I raised it again with a second employee, she seemed genuinely confused about why I was concerned. I was told the men were workers, they were "fine," they weren't playing loud music so there was nothing she could do, and I could close my curtain. Closing a curtain doesn't help a woman who is changing the way she physically gets to her room because three unknown men have been drinking immediately outside it for hours. I wasn't asking staff to accuse them of wrongdoing. I was asking the hotel to take my safety concern seriously. Offering another room, asking them to keep the walkway clear, or even simply acknowledging why the situation made me uncomfortable would have been reasonable. We made it through the night without incident. The room itself was adequate for what I paid. But a woman traveling alone with her child shouldn't have to wait for something bad to actually happen before her discomfort is considered legitimate.

While waiting in line you have Jason walking around and may occasionally have a staring match with him. You may have to wait in line but they intentionally do that to maximize the experience. I do want to note that we came an hour early and they were slow so they let us in early before our scheduled time so we were able to see the difference with the lights on vs off. The owner is good at preparing you for the maze and was right when he asked if any of us were planning on leaving the other behind... The classic allows you to appreciate the props and the hardwork they put into the maze. They really do want you to experience using all senses. The initial area had cedar aroma, you can hear the screams or actors talking to you, occasionally see actors following you or your group or feel different things like the body bags, or shakes, etc. The night terror had the lights off and you are provided one skull that blinks light every 4 sec for you to use to guide yourself through the maze. It also glowed red. My wife held the skull so when I tried to check out the scenes in the dark I realized I had to stay close or be left behind in the dark. I have a feeling she would have went on the elevator without me ...The lights out did feel different. It has more of the horror movie feel vs being able to enjoy and take in the scenery. It's a full sensory experience that I would come back again to see what else they have. Definitely will be back! And one last note, please shower or wear deodorant...lady waiting in line in front of us kept everyone 6 ft away...even the people behind us was keeping their distance

Steven and Crystal Wine Tours were fantastic!…read more I was traveling with a group of 9, and we were fatigued from trying to coordinate and make reservations everywhere in Paso. Arranging a wine tour with Steven was the best decision we ever made. And it was surprisingly affordable when split among all of us (just be aware wine tasting fees are not included). We no longer had to figure out who would be the DD, found amazing wineries and vineyards that could accommodate our large party, picked us up from our AirBnB, and escorted to check in at each location. His limo was clean and well stocked and very comfortable for everyone. Steven observed all covid protocols (masking, distancing, partition up) and made us feel extremely safe. His itinerary was amazing. We set off at 9:30 (he was early, but was so patient as we finished getting ready), and then got us to the first winery with time to spare. The second winery of the day served food, which was perfect as we had just started to get hungry. Every stop had different things to offer, and we felt we had a good sampling of Paso. He even stopped by a Starbucks when we said we needed coffee after the third winery. When we finished, someone in our group realized he had left his phone in the limo after Steven had driven off. My wife walked up to someone outside Linne Calodo and asked if they could squeeze in two people for a tasting. They said yes. Best unplanned decision of the trip. Here is where it gets good. There is a guy standing outside and I casually ask if he happens to be with the winery. Turns out it was Matt, the owner and winemaker himself. What followed was essentially a private masterclass: he walked us through the entire winemaking process, took us into the main fermentation and storage room, did proper pours, and spent real time talking about Paso Robles and his philosophy behind his wines and the blends. No rush, no clipboard, no tour-group energy. And then he let us blend with him. Actually blend. Walking from barrel to barrel, making our own concoctions, like we knew what we were doing, which we did not, but Matt made it feel like we did. Easily the best hour we spent in Paso Robles. Possibly the best winery experience we have had in a very long time, and we have had a few. This place is the real deal, the kind of spot that reminds you why Paso Robles wine country is worth visiting beyond the Instagram backdrops. And why small family run wineries beat the big conglomerates when it comes to authentic wine making and tasting experiences. Thank you Matt. Go here.
