Nice cafe went here for breakfast. The food was good and I noticed a few of the locals here. Cafe is attached to the motel but access is easy. The wait staff was very quick and the food arrived hot in a timely manner. The hashbrowns had that crunch to them,, not soggy. Eggs cooked properly over easy,, do wish the links were more brown less grey. Food was still good with good portions.. With a name like outlaw cafe your not gonna get some candle light atmosphere. Happened upon the Outlaw Cafe on our journey. Wonderful food. Coffee was excellent. I had the Chicken Fried steak breakfest with hashbrowns and toast a side of Biscuits and gravy. My wife chose the Cornedbeef haha breakfest. More food than one could all for. Wonderful all the way around. Coffee was fresh and hot. The folks running the place were fabulous and so nice. Three stars is ok, and my experience wasn't. Keep in mind some of my disappointment may be unique to my visit and not typical, however after reading some other reviews some are. First thing upon entering and being sat I noticed no less than 50-100 flies in the place (others have vented about this in their reviews- they (ownership) must not care. I swatted them from my face, table and food during the whole visit. Second- other's raved about the amazing service - mine was the farthest from anything good - I know her name but that's for management only if they reply to this review. The waitress scoffed when I ordered an Arnold Palmer (iced tea mixed with lemonade). She returned with it, but never again. Not at any point was my drink refilled. Not even when it was sitting empty on the edge of the table for her to notice when she finally brought my food did she refill it. She didn't bring my check, I had to finally go stand at the register for her to ring me up and let me escape this land of the flies. I had a soup with my meal. It was a Friday and the soup was clam chowder. It was ok at best, but even that took so long to come out. Another frustration I had was the menu. On the good side, it's got a lot of great options for people to choose from (steak, pasta, comfort foods). On the bad side, I don't think they make any of it. Everything tasted heated up, deep fried, just short order bowling alley style prepared food. Additionally, the menu made no sense in their prices. I saw items priced several dollars lower than you might find elsewhere (good) and others way more. An example would be a burger. I saw one come out (it looked good) with a side of huge onion rings. That was cheaper than my Salisbury steak. Same hamburger patty, just served a different way, and mine cost more. It was served with instant potatoes. This place may be good for breakfast and there was only one waitress the evening I came (maybe somebody called in sick). I was just put off enough I wouldn't return. It's too bad, there's literally only 2-3 restaurants in this tiny town and they could make a killing if they made people feel like they cared. read more

Stopped in here for some breakfast while we were heading through town on a hunt near Nine Mile. The food was your typical diner food. Nothing special about it, but it was good nonetheless. The service was terrible though. It took way too long for someone to even come acknowledge us even though there were two servers and only about 8 tables. Then, we had to wait forever because apparently the kitchen skipped our order and the server had to ask them where the hell our food was before they realized the mistake, and only then started actually cooking it. Giving an extra star because the food was decent, but how do you lose orders and take so long when there are only a few tables each server has to address. Skip Wellington and go to Price. Every experience in Wellington has been terrible for us. read more

I will give them 1 star for the food only. The food took an hour and it was good, breakfast food, nothing wild. But If I could leave a 0-star review I would. As soon as my partner and I walked in, everyone stopped and stopped and looked at us. Mind you, she and I speak Spanish 100% of the time. We definitely got a racist vibe. Menus were given to the family (white looking family) and not us. We had to ask for everything. There was a woman there with a sort of bob haircut and she was the nicest one there. This is my go to place for a great home cooked meal. A local favorite. I have been waiting for close to an hour and still haven't gotten my food. I had a hard time choosing what item on the menu I should get but I'm a sucker for small town burgers because they are usually the best place to get burgers. This was not the case for my burger. I got the Mushroom Burger and it seems a little sad for the 10 dollar price. Other members of my group got breakfast and that seems like a much better choice. The breakfast options were really cheap. Most averaging around $5-7 dollar range. If I would have gotten the breakfast I would have probably given this place 4 stars. The service was fast and the small space was clean. read more

Best diner of which no one's ever heard! We happened across Outlaw on the Albuquerque to Mountain Home leg of our cross country misadventure- and MAN am I glad we did. I had. The. Best. Pancakes. OF MY. LIFE. Seriously. SO... GOOD. I ordered the egg/hashbrown combo with pancakes as my choice. They aced my poached request, and got the outsides of the hashbrowns sufficiently crispy, as asked. My husband had the burger steak and eggs because- seriously, burger steak? Too random to pass up, and he was getting sick of pork after a few days at my aunt's house in Oklahoma. ;) It was a hamburger patty cooked up with a side of eggs. He chose toast and had a darn good sourdough. Our waiter proclaimed himself a stand-in for the usual waitress, and completely inexperienced... but he still was 10x better than the service I've (unfortunately) become accustomed to in Olympia. Since they serve breakfast all day I ordered the Best breakfast meal. 3 eggs, 3 sausages, & pancakes. Wife ordered 2 eggs, hashbrowns & pancakes. Water & juice was brought promptly. I usually have a V8 or tomato juice but it's not offered which removes a star and the orange juice wasn't bad. So, why did we end up with one star? I ordered over easy eggs & while they were ok, they were cooked on a grill that was to hot. The hashbrowns were the worst I have ever tasted. I took one bite and between the taste, texture, & smell it ruined the meal & my appetite. Lastly I poured the hot syrup over the pancakes & took a bite... Of dough. It wasn't batter, but under done tastes lousy. Bottom line, we got there on the new cooks first day... And anyone who was a real cook could make a simple breakfast. Avoid this place. read more

We stopped by for a late breakfast and very glad we did. Friendly staff, good service with a nice, down to earth, atmosphere and very fair prices. We had to wait a few minutes for our food, BUT it was freshly prepared and did not come out of the freezer or a box. The portions were generous and everything we ordered was flavorful. This the best breakfast we have had in a while. Delicious French toast, enormous homemade biscuits and gravy, and perfectly cooked hash browns with the crunchy outside. Breakfast for 2 was less than 20 bucks too! And there is enough parking for RV's and big rigs. I'm so glad we stopped. Now to hit the road! read more

Not a lot to pick from in Wellington. No liquor license - so don't plan on a cold beer with a steak or burger. Out of iced tea. When I came in, the hostess was on the phone and clearly flustered by a to-go order. Told me, "you sure you want to stay? Could be a while ..." No where to go and not in a hurry - so I stayed.
