    Salisbury Steak
    Eric F.

Three stars is ok, and my experience wasn't. Keep in mind some of my disappointment may be unique to my visit and not typical, however after reading some other reviews some are. First thing upon entering and being sat I noticed no less than 50-100 flies in the place (others have vented about this in their reviews- they (ownership) must not care. I swatted them from my face, table and food during the whole visit. Second- other's raved about the amazing service - mine was the farthest from anything good - I know her name but that's for management only if they reply to this review. The waitress scoffed when I ordered an Arnold Palmer (iced tea mixed with lemonade). She returned with it, but never again. Not at any point was my drink refilled. Not even when it was sitting empty on the edge of the table for her to notice when she finally brought my food did she refill it. She didn't bring my check, I had to finally go stand at the register for her to ring me up and let me escape this land of the flies. I had a soup with my meal. It was a Friday and the soup was clam chowder. It was ok at best, but even that took so long to come out. Another frustration I had was the menu. On the good side, it's got a lot of great options for people to choose from (steak, pasta, comfort foods). On the bad side, I don't think they make any of it. Everything tasted heated up, deep fried, just short order bowling alley style prepared food. Additionally, the menu made no sense in their prices. I saw items priced several dollars lower than you might find elsewhere (good) and others way more. An example would be a burger. I saw one come out (it looked good) with a side of huge onion rings. That was cheaper than my Salisbury steak. Same hamburger patty, just served a different way, and mine cost more. It was served with instant potatoes. This place may be good for breakfast and there was only one waitress the evening I came (maybe somebody called in sick). I was just put off enough I wouldn't return. It's too bad, there's literally only 2-3 restaurants in this tiny town and they could make a killing if they made people feel like they cared.

This is my little family's go to place for breakfast ! Food is also delicious and customer service is great. The eggs Benedict is my absolute favorite.

    Underwhelming Mushroom Burger

I had a hard time choosing what item on the menu I should get but I'm a sucker for small town burgers because they are usually the best place to get burgers. This was not the case for my burger. I got the Mushroom Burger and it seems a little sad for the 10 dollar price. Other members of my group got breakfast and that seems like a much better choice. The breakfast options were really cheap. Most averaging around $5-7 dollar range. If I would have gotten the breakfast I would have probably given this place 4 stars. The service was fast and the small space was clean.

Great place. Not fancy. Was slammed the second time we were there so service was slow but people were friendly and the food was good.

Biscuits and gravy not that great. I'd go back and try something like the chicken fried steak.

They serve breakfast and brunch items, sandwiches, burgers as well as regular dinner offering like steak! We had the chicken fried steak w baked potatoes loaded and lamb steak (it said homegrown and their popular menu item). I was glad I opted for the lamb steak! The price was such a steal around $23 came with potato (fries or baked) and soup or salad (i opted for soup so I could share with my little one). The lamb steak came as a 2 pieces bone in chops! Generous portion! I asked for the "Greek style" (they seasoned it with oregano and lemon in addition to the usual garlic salt and pepper) The meAt was tender, juicy and NOT GAMEY! It was perfectly seasoned...so good! Hubby also enjoyed the chicken fried steak! Also generous portion and he had to take some to go. The soup was a bit too salty but it was pretty loaded and hearty. The homemade bread came out fresh as a loaf...they served it with chive butter, very yummy! Our bill came out to a little over $40, such a steal for the amount that of food we got. The restaurant had a "cowboy" feel with western style decor. It's an older place but certainly served delicious food with reasonable price tags. I certainly recommend dining here if you're in the area. The restaurant

After a long day at Arches National Park, we decided to drive 3.5 hours towards Salt Lake City…read moreUtah. After a couple of hours, we started to get really hungry and that's when we stumbled upon Cowboy Kitchen. Plenty of free parking. I'm not familiar with the area but it seemed like a place many locals go to celebrate. We were seated in an area with other families with children (away from alcohol) and they were both celebrating someone's birthday. The host and waitress were very respectful and nice. We were quickly seated. While looking at the menu our waitress brought out some hot bread which was very yummy. It tasted like a mix of bread and biscuit and we loved it. Of note, the butter tasted really fresh and creamy. Shortly after ordering, our waitress brought us all a bowl of soup. I'm not sure what kind of soup it was but it was yummy and it had a similar flavor to Portuguese bean soup. Shortly after finishing our soup our waitress brought us all some salad which we chose to eat with ranch sauce. Unlike the ones in the bottle, their ranch sauce was thick and flavorful. We tried the hamburger steak, chicken fried steak, and breaded pork cutlet. They were all good and reminded me of the plate lunches we get back home in Hawaii (except ours is normally served with rice and macaroni salad) but my favorite was the hamburger steak. Very filling meals all under $20. For us the location was very convenient, they were very reasonably priced, and they offered great service. This restaurant felt like home away from home.
