You are about to experience the awe and mystery of, The Outer Limits! You've been seeking an experience. An adventure. Well, now you've found it. The Outer Limits is out there alright. But not so much for the hoard of Pokémon Trainers, who flock to this establishment to engage in the fantasy world of playing and trading. For them this is serious fun. For I, as an observer, it's a one of a kind experience to delve into the mysterious world, and minds, of my new friends. On my visit the store was packed to the Limits. From the Outer portion, to the inner sanctum. That's where games were afoot. The participants paid no attention to this pathogen who looked over shoulders in an attempt to make sense of what the eyes were taking in. Make sense? I couldn't. But it was fun watching the ones who knew what they were doing, enjoying themselves. Each digging into their prerequisite backpacks, ferreting through their game pieces in an attempt to gain advantage. At least that's what I think they were doing. I have no idea as to the process, or for that matter, the outcome. But what I do know, all were having a blast, albeit in a controlled intellectual way. I had a blast too. I admire this sect of game followers, these who dwell on the fringes. They're in their own world. One fraught with challenges of the game, as the real world meanders. In the game, they're in control. We on the outside looking in, can only watch in awe, and wonder. If it's collectable that you're interested in, it's here. Comics, cards, and weird doll things (you know what they are, me, I just shrug the shoulders). Enter the Outer Limits, where Reality ends and fantasy begins. Quick Tip: The card prices seem to be fair. But I have no perspective from which to judge. I being a sports card collector and not fantasy. I can only fantasize that one day I'll come across a rare Mickey Mantle for cheap. I wouldn't know a Pikachu Illustrator from a Alpha Black Lotus. I would say that if you are completely new to collecting you might end up here on accident. They seem to be a little sketchy and shady on some stuff, especially with Pokemon. The service is fine, but the value you receive for the selling compared to what they expect in pricing is kind of ridiculous. I would be a little cautious on going here. read more

Outer Limits Comics (Franklin - Sean) Outer Limits Comics is my go-to spot in Franklin, and it's because of people like Sean. Every time I stop in, he's been incredibly helpful, fair, and generous with his time. I've done a number of trades involving Pokémon cards, and Sean has always given honest, fair value. He never rushes you, and he's always happy to explain how things are priced or valued which is great if you're still learning the ins and outs. What really sets him apart is how much he cares about people. I've watched him give free stickers or small cards to kids just to make their day that's the kind of personal touch that makes a lasting impression. He's incredibly knowledgeable, but also very down-to-earth and approachable. The shop has a great vibe overall, and the owners are great people too. Whether you're a serious collector or just getting started, Outer Limits is a place where you'll feel welcome and taken care of. read more

Outer Limits is an awesome comic/card/whatever else nerdy you require shop. Anthony, the owner, is a super-nice and super-helpful guy. My husband just recently started playing Magic again and I've been told this is a great shop to practice your Path to Exile and Burst Lightning skills. There's tournaments every Friday and Sunday there, too. I'm not much of a comic-book gal or card-player, but the couple of times I've been here I've managed to find other strange things to entertain myself. They've had replicas of some of the weapons from Blade, old Mickey Mouse comics (I loooooove Scrooge McDuck), and then there's the occasional comic book that everyone can appreciate (The Guild, Spiderman and Stephen Colbert). Basically, it's awesome if you're into this kind of culture, and if you're not it's still a cool spot to visit. read more

Outer Limits is my go to comic shop when my Nashville friends and partner make their regular trip to Woodcraft a few doors down. They've got a good array of all the comic book shop ~stuff~ - figurines, cards, other board games, and of course - a wide selection of comics and trades. I will admit that their style of comic sorting was a little hard to figure out at first but once I got the hang of it, their selection makes up for the learning curve. I've found issues I've been missing for years in their collections as well as multiple full runs and first printings. They host game nights as well - I was in during the beginning of the Friday night Magic event last week and it wasn't distracting or bothersome as a regular customer. read more

First time visiting the store. It wasn't busy. The employees looked at us, but did not greet us. And sure, I could have spoken first. But you can tell when the other party has no interest. My son and I spent at least 15 minutes looking around and were never acknowledged. And sure, I could have asked for help. But why should I have to? The store wasn't busy. And maybe that's why. Good selection of Magic the Gathering, Board games and Comics. It was my local shop so I stop in here from time to time to see what's new. I primarily play MTG so I like to see what has Ben traded in or is for sale on the singles displays. The owner is frequently there and is very knowledgeable. You can often trade for store credit and if you pay cash you can get a discount of sorts. There is almost always someone playing there and Drafts and tournaments are regularly scheduled. As far as card shops go this is my go to for the area. Prices are what you would expect from a specialty shop but if you bring some knowledge you can find hidden deals. If you are a collector then I recommend you hit this place for sure if you are in the area. read more

Staff is really helpful, polite, and knowledgeable about comics and products. There's an area with a few tables for tabletop games if that's your sort of thing. Really clean and chill place either for a quick stop to pick up new releases or if you wanna hang out with friends and play some TCG. This shop has changed a lot over the past 20 years... but now it is better than ever. The staff is polite and greets me with a smile. The store has recently been renovated and looks very nice inside as of 2015. Little bit of a mess behind the counter, but hey it's a comic shop! They have a good size selection actions figures and collectibles, a very sizable comic selection, and decent gaming area. LOTS of Magic cards, too. I try to hit this shop at least once a month to see if they've gotten any new figures in, so its a bit of a treasure hunt store for me. Prices are very reasonable, and parking is extremely easy in the large parking out out front. read more

This place is pretty decent. the owner/operator is friendly and stuff is easy to find.. points off for selection though. Most of the figures/collectibles are Star Wars related or just old.. There doesn't seem to be a decent amount of newer stuff, but the prices are relatively low and there was a sale on graphic novels when i went there, which is plus. read more

I am not a huge comic book guy, but my son likes to go there and, we'll, maybe I am a little bit of a nerd deep down inside). I will have to say that the folks who work there are friendly. They aren't in your face when you walk in, but they are not rude either. They are there if you need help. They are also very nice to my son and I swear they have bought things from him that they did not need just to be nice to a kid. Place is clean and well organized. read more

A fun place to go if you like comics. The guy working was very helpful! They were in the process of moving so the store was out of sorts. I am going to check out their new location and I'm sure it will be more organized. They have lots of our favorites, Spider-Man, batman, and Archie! First time I went there, I immediately fell in love with the place! Unlike some other comic book stores this one is easy to find your way around, has great lighting so it's easy to see, and also is easy to get to the products. And by products, I mean they have a lot of stuff. Of course a great comic selection (new & old titles), but also a huge selection of toys, collectibles, and card games. And also stuff to store your items which has come in handy. Anthony the owner is a really nice guy, and is always willing to answer your questions.. and if you ask him something that he doesn't know the answer to, he'll take the time to find out the answer for you. I've been shopping there for 3 years now since I moved to the area and have always had a great experience there. We all have gone to comic book stores where the workers make you feel like you are in the way if you're not one of the regulars or if you have a question... this store is not that way at all, just the opposite, they have always made me feel welcome there and happy that you're in their store.
