The most complete tabletop store in middle Tennessee. When I'm looking for board games or Warhammer supplies I go here.

I go mainly for board games, but the selection is stellar and the staff is super friendly. My go to local games shop.

Not much to offer for MTG card sales, but they do push draft nights, which is cool. The place kind of smells like a pet store though.

Ever lament that you didn't have the GI Joe Helicarrier? Wanted to sit behind Skeletor's castle and talk into the voice distorting wolf microphone? Wanted to show kids the true meaning of pain with a perfectly authentic Jem mask with next to no nose space so you ended up getting a crunched nose while every breath you took blew right into your eyeballs? This is your place. They've got more Marvel themed toys than I knew existed prior to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There's just a lot of joy in there, even if there's not particularly anything I wanted from them other than a couple of Iron Man figures I might go back and get because I'm cool like that. Check 'em out, then wander next door to the Kitty Cafe and pet some cats, wander around the corner and go behind to Craft South for some knitting, cross the street and walk to El Nopalito and get some food, and polish it off at La Colmena and you've got an 80's kid's dream (well, maybe not for the knitting part)

Today was my last straw with them and that is what has triggered my writing this To start, everyone working there is a misogynist and I am not the only female to feel this way entering the store. Almost every-time I have entered I am either ignored completely or am interrogated and treated as though I am stupid. I have NEVER seen them interrogate a male on what they are buying nor discourage them from buying it. At one point I was spending nearly $400 on comics when I was asked 101 questions about the characters. "Do you even know who this is? What's their back story?" If anything was answered wrong I was told how dare I even be in the shop if I didn't know that particular piece of information or treated like I were dumb. Like sir I'm buying the comic to read it. Of course I don't know what's inside the comic yet. This man has also made one of my long time friends cry by treating her as though she were dumb and that to me is just very unacceptable as well. Just a tip for the owner: women read comics. Pull the stick from your butt and stop treating them as less thens :D

You are about to experience the awe and mystery of, The Outer Limits! You've been seeking an experience. An adventure. Well, now you've found it. The Outer Limits is out there alright. But not so much for the hoard of Pokémon Trainers, who flock to this establishment to engage in the fantasy world of playing and trading. For them this is serious fun. For I, as an observer, it's a one of a kind experience to delve into the mysterious world, and minds, of my new friends. On my visit the store was packed to the Limits. From the Outer portion, to the inner sanctum. That's where games were afoot. The participants paid no attention to this pathogen who looked over shoulders in an attempt to make sense of what the eyes were taking in. Make sense? I couldn't. But it was fun watching the ones who knew what they were doing, enjoying themselves. Each digging into their prerequisite backpacks, ferreting through their game pieces in an attempt to gain advantage. At least that's what I think they were doing. I have no idea as to the process, or for that matter, the outcome. But what I do know, all were having a blast, albeit in a controlled intellectual way. I had a blast too. I admire this sect of game followers, these who dwell on the fringes. They're in their own world. One fraught with challenges of the game, as the real world meanders. In the game, they're in control. We on the outside looking in, can only watch in awe, and wonder. If it's collectable that you're interested in, it's here. Comics, cards, and weird doll things (you know what they are, me, I just shrug the shoulders). Enter the Outer Limits, where Reality ends and fantasy begins. Quick Tip: The card prices seem to be fair. But I have no perspective from which to judge. I being a sports card collector and not fantasy. I can only fantasize that one day I'll come across a rare Mickey Mantle for cheap. I wouldn't know a Pikachu Illustrator from a Alpha Black Lotus. Hmm...could those be the ones I used as drink coasters?

I would say that if you are completely new to collecting you might end up here on accident…read more They seem to be a little sketchy and shady on some stuff, especially with Pokemon. The service is fine, but the value you receive for the selling compared to what they expect in pricing is kind of ridiculous. I would be a little cautious on going here.

She found McKay's online and it seemed to be the best place to do that. Wow -- we were not prepared for the massiveness of this super, super busy place! Being our first time and not knowing how it all worked, it didn't take us long to figure out where to go and what to do. There wasn't much of a line when we started. We placed her books in a bin, then waited to be called by a greeter. Our greeter quickly explained the process, gave the daughter a claim ticket, then we waited. In the 40 minutes it took for her claim number to come up on the screen, we were able to walk through most of the sections and pick out a couple things to buy. I was quite surprised to find so many things beyond books -- DVDs, VHS, vinyl records, CDs, cassette tapes, clothing, Pokémon cards, instruments, game consoles, accessories, Legos, toys, comic books, etc. It was seriously amazing. My daughter decided to take her sale in trade which gave her about 50% more to spend. For the books they didn't buy she was given the option to take them back or donate them there. She chose to donate. The husband loves old movies, art and music -- he will absolutely enjoy McKay's. I can't wait to bring him here! The parking lot is as massive, so I don't think there's ever an issue with that.
