I stood there waiting for several minutes while he supposedly waited for a response from the owner, but nothing ever happened. Since I never got an answer, I decided to come back the next day. This time, a different cashier simply told me they didn't have any booster boxes in stock. It was confusing because I had literally seen a full box of them the night before. Whether they weren't actually for sale or there was some other reason, I would have appreciated an honest explanation instead of being left waiting and then being told they weren't in stock the next day. Better communication and transparency would have made for a much better customer experience.

She found McKay's online and it seemed to be the best place to do that. Wow -- we were not prepared for the massiveness of this super, super busy place! Being our first time and not knowing how it all worked, it didn't take us long to figure out where to go and what to do. There wasn't much of a line when we started. We placed her books in a bin, then waited to be called by a greeter. Our greeter quickly explained the process, gave the daughter a claim ticket, then we waited. In the 40 minutes it took for her claim number to come up on the screen, we were able to walk through most of the sections and pick out a couple things to buy. I was quite surprised to find so many things beyond books -- DVDs, VHS, vinyl records, CDs, cassette tapes, clothing, Pokémon cards, instruments, game consoles, accessories, Legos, toys, comic books, etc. It was seriously amazing. My daughter decided to take her sale in trade which gave her about 50% more to spend. For the books they didn't buy she was given the option to take them back or donate them there. She chose to donate. The husband loves old movies, art and music -- he will absolutely enjoy McKay's. I can't wait to bring him here! The parking lot is as massive, so I don't think there's ever an issue with that.
