Wonderful practice on the beach. Don't forget your sunscreen! Not too early in the AM but early enough to beat the heat

I was in Kitty Hawk over the weekend visiting family and attended the Saturday 8:30 All-levels Vinyasa Flow. This was my first time practicing at this studio and I was very impressed. The studio is clean and spacious with a very relaxing vibe. I used the studio's props and mat and appreciated how clean they were. The bathroom was also well stocked and clean. I'm recovering from a hip replacement so I met with the instructor, Anna, prior to class. She was very friendly and encouraged me to do what felt best for my body at any time. The flow of the class was perfect for any level. I am new to yoga so it was comforting to notice Anna checking in with me during the class. I highly recommend this studio to enhance your practice and your OBX experience. read more

Really enjoyed the beach yoga! Would definitely do again. The instructor Wednesday morning was great and it was the perfect start to my day. She even assisted me in getting to a forearm stand which I'm always petrified to try and was totally unexpected but thrilled to have done it. read more

We did a morning session which was amazing! I don't remember the instructors name but she was amazing! Definitely made for a memorable experience. The este thick inside is gorgeous, the decorations on the ceiling are very pretty and are especially nice during yoga when you look up as often as you do. The experience I had reserving my space on their website was a little confusing and must have meant I didn't technically reserve my spot for the beach yoga so when they canceled due to weather I was not contacted. Thankfully they had another session they let me book a few hours later so my boyfriend and I just got breakfast and then did that session. I came from France for vacation in the Outer Banks. I tried yoga for the first time with Karen as the instructor. That was great, very relaxing and that stretched out nicely my body after working out this week. I will come back, and I definitely recommend it to my French fellows too! read more

Great pilates classes, very challenging and the instructor is very good. My local pilates shop needs to step its game up. Will definitely visit every time we visit OBX. Adding an update as we visit this year, the classes are still top notch and any Pilates enthusiast visiting the Outer Banks should go to this class read more

This place is super cozy and welcoming. We're on vacation and I was looking for a place to practice. Prices are reasonable and you can rent a mat for one dollar. I'll be going back before the week is over. read more

I was recently in Kill Devil Hills for a week-long, 42 person family reunion. I contacted OB Yoga about coming to the houses we rented and doing a class there. They were a pleasure to deal with and very accomodating. Anne Howard was absolutely AMAZING. She somehow managed to make everyone feel challenged and comfortable, no matter their age or level. I went to the Outer Banks for a week and did a search for Pilates classes and found this studio. I have been a Pilates student for 10 years and have taken Ballecore and Barre classes so I'm pretty advanced. I have to say these instructors kicked my Butt! I was so impressed with the classes! They were super creative and different from the normal Pilates mat classes but I absolutely loved it!! I highly recommend this studio for anyone who does Pilates or Barre. The instructors are all in great shape and really knew their stuff! read more

I am a yoga instructor in DC, so I can be a bit particular, but I also am open to just about anything! OBX Yoga did not disappoint. The class was identified as a "vinyasa" class on their schedule, but it wasn't just moving mindlessly into one posture after another. The instructor, Anne, gave us a chance to deepen each posture and the sequencing made a lot of sense--it was a thoughtfully crafted class and my body is still saying thank you the next day. If you're visiting the OBX, you will definitely feel welcome here. read more

Love, love, love the OmBX! I popped in for Anne's Vinyasa class on a recent vacation and left on Cloud 9. The studio itself is serene and beautiful and Anne's class was truly one of the best I've ever had. I left feeling strong, centered and happy. If I lived anywhere in the area I would be a regular! Did two beach yoga sessions with two different instructors, both were great and accommodated all the levels that were present.

Absolutely enjoyed a yoga class at this place. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. The instructor kept the class going at a good pace and always explained to students how to adjust poses to their levels. I definitely recommend this studio if you want to take yoga classes while vacationing in OBX. read more

Good, basic class on the beach. Time passed by quickly. Sunrise was at 6:05 and class didn't start until 7:30 so it was HOT by 8:45. Would recommend wearing sunscreen. read more

Amazing instructors and beautiful studio! The atmosphere and sincere welcome begins upon entrance. A variety of classes offer the experienced and the beginning yoga student an opportunity to practice at their on pace and level. Lovely studio! My daughters and I took several classes at the Corolla location (a co-op with Lovie's Spa.) Colleen is a great instructor. But my favorite was Allison! We loved how the studio was decorated: very bright and clean with wood floors and walls. It's not a very big room, so I recommend you arrive early. They have mats to rent for $1 and a great variety of props are available for use. If you are in Corolla and love yoga, then you must check out this studio. read more

Wonderful yoga studio with a super relaxed feeling. Great instructors. I've taken stretch classes, taichi/yoga and power yoga and all have been great! It's one of the few studios where my daughter (age 11), my husband and I can all feel engaged and challenged by a class. And they are open all year!!! read more
