Vacation rental for a week in South Nags Head. The unit owner locked the thermostat down so it could not be adjusted below 72 degrees. We were not told of this restriction nor was it in the rental agreement. Outer Banks Blue offered up box fans as a resolution. Heat rises and at night 72 was pretty miserable, The manager refused to speak to us, we had to deal with a go between In the office. It took 3 calls to get the owner to allow a lower temperature at night and even then if you touched the thermostat to raise it even a degree it locked you out. The dryer in the house must be 25 years old and a lot ad of beach towels took 3 hours to dry. Called maintenance and their resolution was to tell us to do smaller loads. Just not very renter oriented. If you're an owner they're probably fine. read more

This review is for 'Coastin Corolla' vacation rental. Reviews are not added to the Vrbo site so I'm adding it here. Location was okay, beach access was not handicap accessible fyi. Sectional needs replaced, it's in poor shape. Cabinet doors hanging off henges need fixed. Light bulbs out. AC was out so we got window units for bedrooms. That helped us sleep but the rest of the house was 85 degrees. Pool was to be heated and we only got about 1.5 days of heat before we had to call them out a total of 2x. A lot of money to heat pool and not get a full week of it. Police were called out 3x to nearby houses. People walked the street all hours of the night. A bag of rocks was thrown over our privacy fence one evening. We wouldn't stay here again. read more

Terrific rental management company. Pricing and check-in notes were clear. We had some minor issues, which they addressed right away. They stayed in touch via text and email, letting us know when the plumber was scheduled to come. Super responsive. Half way through our 3 week stay, they gave us the option of getting fresh linens delivered, which was super convenient. Someone maintained the hot tub on a regular basis without being intrusive. This company gave us the feeling that they had our back if anything went awry. We've rented beach houses (VA beach) for many years. The beach environment is very harsh. Rental homes can be in wildly different conditions depending (I think) on the owners and not the rental company. Sometimes a house is old and fraying around the edges, sometimes updated and sparkling. Sometimes renters leave the place a wreck and the cleaners barely have time to put it back in order. If an updated, newer place is important to you, let the rental company guide you to the right homes. P.S. Our house was spanking clean and in excellent condition. I believe the owners take pride in their home, which is well managed by Outer Banks Blue. Great house + great company = great vacation. read more

I rented a house for a family reunion/local wedding, stating that we were multi-generational: 6 adults and 2 infants and would need a place comfortable for relatives visiting with their children. OBB rented us a 5 BR one story house in Southern Shores for about $2500 for the week which turned out to be utterly, frustratingly disappointing. Crawling with cockroaches at night; windowsills and door frames full of mold and dirt; neither screen door opened or closed without wrestling; bath tub spigot separated from the wall; absolutely no cleaning supplies so we could remedy the poor window conditions or clean up after cooking; no condiments or spices, 3 rolls of TP only for 3 bathrooms; cook top lights inoperative; wooden furniture with splinters and raw 2 inch nail repairs beside the sofa, etc. Had we called about the roaches they would have come to spray, but we had infants with us. So I spent $300 and bought what we needed to stay clean and safe including roach motels for a week. There was no baby equipment, etc. which should have clued me in that this house was fit for frat boys, not a multi-generational family. But no one at the rental agency communicated word one about its limitations. I will stick with Air B&B in the future. Yes, everyone at the wedding heard about it as the bride and groom came to visit us. read more

I wrote an honest review about our experience and the property we rented. they deleted it off their website. The house was dilapidated and so many things were broken. showerhead was absolutely disgusting and the shower curtain rings were rusty. hot tub was filthy we had to wait several days until it was cleaned and we could use it. The door leading out to the balcony wouldn't lock and we had small children with us. We rented Duck Down through Outer Banks Blue in August of 2025. Pros: - Excellent oceanfront location. Stunning beach at your doorstep. Easy .5 mile walk to restaurants, shops in Duck. Can't be beat. - Big house with ample space for larger families. - Washer/dryer units are new and huge, perfect for a beach vacation. - Many Pots/Pans and cooking equipment in the kitchen. - Extra large dining table for dinners, games, gathering. - Comfortable beds, nice bath towels/wash cloths provided. Cons: - TVs are listed as an amenity in each bedroom, but none were connected to the cable when we arrived so they were useless. Once contacted, OBB came to fix, but not all were able to connect to the cable system, so they connected them to streaming instead. - Bedding/pillows could use an upgrade/refresh. Pillows are mismatched and worn, cases don't fit, bedding is older. - Furniture could use an update: I understand it's a pet friendly rental, but much of the furniture is worn, stained, several lamps were missing their finials so the shades wobbled and fell off easily, several broken games were stacked in corner of the loft. - Screens were missing from many windows, so you cannot open them for ocean breezes without flies entering the house. - Blinds were missing from doors. Old hardware was on the doors to suggest they once had a blind, but no longer. - Hot tub is nice touch, but many of the jets are not working. - Deck is lovely with incredible views, but multiple planks are loose, and screws are sticking out which is a safety concern. - The great room ceiling has multiple areas where paint/plaster is peeling. - Bathrooms need an update. One on the main floor is updated and lovely, but the two on the lower level are dated with shower inserts that aren't very practical. - When we arrived, there were no hair dryers as listed in the amenities. OBB quickly delivered two upon request. - Kitchen needs refresh. Fridge is rusting, drawer inside fridge is missing a front, cabinets are aged and peeling in places. Sink is huge and great. Lots of good pots and cooking equipment. Silverware and utensils could use a refresh: knives are dull, several utensils in the drawers are broken and have not been tossed/replaced. - There is a cable satellite dish that has been left to rust in the back yard which is unsightly. read more

My family has stayed at the same rental two years in a row now and it's been one of our favorite spots! Communication has always been super easy when any issues have arisen and dealt with efficiently. This year I ended up accidentally leaving an entire drawer full of clothes and didn't realize until the evening when we made it home. If you are fortunate enough to spend time on the Outer Banks, spend it at an Outer Banks Blue managed property. While it is hard to not like any OBX accommodation, agents vary greatly and can make or break a vacation. From initial inquiry to closing the door for the last time after two weeks, Outer Bank Blue was with us. Everyone we dealt with was energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, responsive and oh so professional. In sum: world-class customer service. We especially appreciate the proactive approach to maintenance: air filters are switched out regularily and pest control makes a scheduled, routine visit to stay ahead of any issues. I've stayed at the same house in Sanderling for the last 10 years. The current owners bought the property a few years ago and last year, switched to Outer Banks Blue. I was never a fan of their one price approach where I can see the details of what I am paying for. I do know that the cost of renting this house jumped considerably when Outer Banks Blue became the realty company. Last year, I reported lots of issues with the property, both from a cleanliness and things needing repair standpoint. There were some "upgrades" made over the winter, but the problem I have leading to this review is with the cleanliness. Outer Banks Blue has nothing on their website regarding precautions they are taking due to COVID nor is there anything about their cleanliness standards in general. There should be much higher standards for cleaning due to COVID, but you couldn't tell it when we checked in. My wife and I ended up going out to buy cleaning supplies so we could spend our first evening of vacation cleaning the house, which had obviously not been given a thorough cleaning after the last renter who was here for 2 weeks. Toilets not scrubbed, sink and countertops that had obviously not been touched, master bedroom shower with lots of hair in the drain, unidentified material on the floor, mold and mildew smell that would make you gag, whatever cleaning service was here dripped very dirty mop water down the stairs and along the hallways. I love this house and the location, but not sure I want to deal with this again. I need a way to contact the owner to give feedback on his realty company. read more

I so wish I had seen these reviews prior to booking. BEWARE THEY ARE TRUE! Complaints include: -broken ceiling fans -missing smoke alarms -broken door locks -pool table with no usable cues -foggy windows (broken seals) -broken elevator -mold on A/C vents -filthy air return grate -roaches! though they SAY they were water bugs. Either way...eeewww! -we wiped "high touch" surfaces (pandemic) and wipes were BLACK with grime -hot tub so dirty we couldn't use until serviced 4 days into vacation -dirty pool, we requested twice to have it cleaned -yard filled with sand and weeds -abandoned steps to beach; overrun with sand, broken steps and spindles. Very dangerous. -advertised a dune deck but that was destroyed and abandoned as well. - cheapest deck furniture possible My complaint was met with a $250 credit on a vacation that cost $8863.00. Licensed Realtor giving this review. Their mission statement could not be further from the truth. NIGHTMARE of a company to work with. Keep in mind, per contract, they can send housekeeping up to 6pm which Outer Banks Blue is STILL trying to say they did. They did not! It was after 6pm and ONLY because we had to notify them more than once on the following: dog hairs all over, dirty sheets with more hairs on them, trash bins full, no basic supplies (even one roll of paper towels or toilet paper). All showers had standing water up to 6 inches in them upon use. Some in our group drove over 700 miles in one day to arrive to this after spending thousands for the week. . . just a terrible way to start a week's vacation. Terry's response to this was I'll send housekeeping (mind you after their supposed deadline of 6pm). Housekeeping consisted of 2 people and it was not what I call a clean house. It was the sheets that we had not had a chance to wash and change plus removal of trash, that was about it. The house was advertised as "PET FREE" which they are trying to tell me as a REALTOR that this is legal. Bottom line, if you have pets in any rental property, upon exit, carpets and house are to be cleaned! Regardless of pets being for someone who may need them for mental or handicapped reasons, to have the level of pet dander, hairs, just in general a dirty house, you cannot advertise PET FREE when it is truly not. We had a handful in our group who have allergies and this made for one trip to the Kitty Hawk Urgent Care during our stay. I will continue to speak out on this company and the terrible customer service they are providing to clients. We made the best of our vacation, but wish we could have received better service and had important things fixed and/or provided for sooner. We rented a house with an elevator specifically for a family member with some mobility issues, (Lolligaggers-KDH064 was the property) due to it being a 3-4 story house. It was also pet friendly. We arrived and it was supposed to be cleaned. There was trash in the backyard that we cleaned up, the small area for the dogs was not cut, the floors were not cleaned (sticky and you could see dirt on them, gross to walk on after showers, etc) and as the week went on we were finding other areas that were not kept up with (ceiling fans not working and dirty, the tv in the living room streamed only and was slow and buffered a lot), etc. We also paid for bedding and towels so we would not have to bring them- the beds were made. However, a couple were made with sheets inside out, I might be picking on this, but after the week and response we received I am including this. We started bringing items into the house. We decided to use the elevtor to help with this. We had 2 adults get stuck for a few minutes, we were able to get it started again, no big deal. An 18 yr old got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes about an hour later, the door on the 3rd floor was not magnetically connected, we figured it out, but not happy that this was becoming a minor issue. A little later the 81 yr old, we got the elevator for, got stuck for over 20 minutes. We were having quite a time getting the elevator moving again. We placed a call to Outer Banks Blue, the next day the (only) elevator repair company came. The gentleman told us that every week he is called to THIS HOUSE for repairs. He recommended this elevator be replaced while ago!!! This is when we noticed holes punched in the top of each door leading to the elevator on each floor - this is to acccess the release to open the elevator. Not a good sign. When we placed the call to the Out Banks Blue, we also let them know that the Gas Grill was not at the house and the grass was not cut in the back yard. It took 6 of the 7 rental days for a gas grill to be delivered. The grass was never cut. The elevator continued to get stuck through out the week. It got to the point that our 81 year old Mother would not use it! She actually had the grandkids drive her home a day early from vacation because she could not walk the stairs anymore. All of this was documented, there is a video camera in the elevator (working or not I don't know, but there is a blue light on it). We were texting the office and calling about these issues. They may seem minor, but the elevator was a big one for us. When contacted again when we arrived home, they did nothing but offer a minor discount for a rental for the following year. We would love to come back to the OBX, but would not consider renting with this company again. We spent over $12,000 for the week, had vacation insurance just in case and the house was not up to par for what we spend and the service they provided was not acceptable. read more

Ahh, just one more dissatisfied customer... Holy Moly, shame on me for not reading YELP reviews before I utilized this rental company. KDH004 is not as pictured as it is now rund down, worn, and certainly not worth the $10,000 we spent for a 2-week stay. My first complaint is that the house (that sleeps 12+) does not have a garbage disposal. Really? It's 2023, a garbage disposal is not a novel or new concept and it makes a huge difference when cooking/cleaning up for a large group. We would NOT have booked this house had we known it was missing this basic amenity. 2. The freezer did not work. Lost $50 worth of groceries on the first night. We called and asked for it to be repaired. Outcome: 3 visits over the next couple of days (different 3 service reps) each without a phone call giving us any update or info. Bottom line: it was never properly fixed. Lucky for us, there was a small refrigerator on the lower level. Nothing says easy access quite like walking up and down 2 flights of stairs to get grocery items so you can make breakfast. 3. The bedroom furniture is old. Two of the bedrooms have dresser drawers that do not work properly. Master bedroom drapes are cheap, with mismatched thin fabrics that do not even begin to block out the early morning sun! The mattress does not fit the bedframe, which has a sharp edge to it. (I found this out when I walked by and cut my leg on it). There is so much more (4. Gross, dirty, worn pool BBQ area 5. Overflowing trash cans upon arrival 6., 7., etc., etc) - but Yowza, revisiting all this is making me tired and annoyed all over again. Do yourself a favor, and find another company to rent a beach house from! All these negative reviews are giving you a head-up as to what you can expect. read more

I have been using them for three years now and have been very happy with how they treat me and my renters. I appreciate how they answer the phone seven days a week, which is rare in this business. I highly recommend them from the business development lead, to the reservations manager, to the house keeping manager to the facilities director. They have helped me out in finding service vendors for repairs and helped me make with advice in making continuous improvements to my property. Absolutely the worst vacation rental agency I've ever dealt with. We stayed mid April, so off season, but still, if you list amenities on your website, they should be in working order ALL YEAR, not just when you're collecting the larger rental $$. Parts were broken on two major appliances, one appliance completely idle, televisions not working, carpets had burs in them. I should've paid more attention to red flags earlier. One of their agents tried to scam me out of $300 payment. I was offered a $200 discount on a future stay. I laughed quite awhile after that one. Good luck to future guests at the Rum Runner. And I forgot to add....our vacation was interrupted by 3 repairmen who couldn't fix the broken appliances. The agent that I corresponded with about the broken parts had the hutzpah to ask me if I checked a certain part of the broken appliance, like that's my job. This place has appalling customer service! After our vacation had been all but totally ruined from complete disrepair and poor management I contacted OBX Blue. I spoke with the main person in charge and reported the 16 issues we had with the property. After making contact and going through the issues the response was, "sorry for the INCONVENIENCE" and "We're not responsible for upkeep just the rent management". Here's the list of the issues with the home. Some of these are much more serious than others. 1) The beds were awful. Every time you moved at all the springs would creak and groan very loudly. It sounded like the mattresses were stuffed with rusty springs and tortilla chips. Not one or two beds all nine. 2) There are roaches in the house. 3)The deck was falling apart. We didn't feel safe on the deck. 4) The water from the refrigerator had chunks of gross debris in it. 5) The oven looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. 6) Many of the appliances were broken or just didn't work. 7) There is broken furniture and garbage littered along the side of the house. 8) The refrigerator had broken and missing shelves. 9) We reserved early to get an early check-in promotion only to be told the day we arrived they were no longer honoring it. 10) There are missing boards on the outside stairs. 11) The pool lining is failing. 12) The floor was extremely scratched everywhere. 13) The plates had food debris on them. 14) One of the shower curtains only had three rings holding it on. 15) The windows were filthy. 16) The cable service was very limited. It had almost nothing. I own a vacation rental business in Harpers Ferry WV, so I try to be understanding when mistakes happen. But rather than do anything to accommodate a repeat client, I was arrogantly blown off. I will NEVER rent a property from OBX Blue again! read more

The rental would have been 3 stars (probably too generous) except this company's responses to repairs/issues during our stay was downright insulting. I tried reaching out to come to a resolution, but it seems that reviews are the only way to get the message through to them. We paid $12k for one week at the beach and I expected a luxury and near perfect experience for that price and what the listing represented. It was far from that. Here is my letter to them describing the issues with our rental. In response, they only offered me a $200 credit to use towards my next vacation if I book with them. I AM NEVER BOOKING WITH THEM AGAIN. Unacceptable. And the response was a big f* you from them, in my opinion. "Hi Outer Banks Blue team, I stayed at your Avalon property with my family this past week in Duck, NC. We had a wonderful week and the weather was amazing, but unfortunately the house did not meet our expectations. I am writing this email to provide you with feedback on items that need repair and also to request a re-evaluation of our fees paid in light of these many complaints. The house is falling apart and damaged when you look beyond the nice decor and it is definitely noticeable even to those guests who are not used to fancy accommodations. The first thing we noticed on arrival when picking out rooms was a dirty diaper on one of the bunk beds on the first floor. We made sure to book a house with enough rooms for everyone, but after seeing the diaper on the bed no one wanted to stay in that room all week. I notified Shelley via text and she sent new sheets, but the sheets did not arrive until the end of the next day and by then we had already figured out how to not use that room. The second thing we noticed was that one of the dishwashers had mold inside and looked broken. I also notified Shelley of this repair and someone from maintenance stopped by the next day to fix it. It seemed to be fine after that but it was annoying to have to spend time coordinating repairs on our vacation. The next thing was the sliding door to the patio in the master bedroom. When we tried to open the door to sit on the porch the door handle fell off and was severely rusted underneath. The maintenance person took a look at it and said he would return but that did not happen during our stay. We could not enjoy the ocean view patio from the master bedroom as a result. The other items were cosmetic, but still important to bring up. The carpets had stains all over them, multiple boards on the porches were loose, and the pool grout was very cracked and in poor shape, the pool furniture was old and very worn, sand and trash was all over the porch when we arrived. We all tried to make the best of it, but the feeling from everyone was that at $12,000 for the week we wanted things to be pretty near perfect and they definitely were far from it. Please see the photos. I believe that a fair resolution would be to at least refund us for the bedroom that we could not use which was 1/6 of the rental or about $2,000. We would also appreciate being refunded a portion for the repairs and damage that prevented us from fully enjoying the house. I hope that this email helps improve the property for future renters, because the location is great and the decor was beautiful. I wish I had read these reviews before renting with Outer Banks Blue Realty. The house we rented was not just filthy but had black mold in the toilets. The bathrooms had hair everywhere as well. The floors were so dirty that we had to roll up the rugs and clean the floors before letting the babies down to crawl. There were lots of spiders and found a roach too. I called and asked for cleaning services and they never showed. I called again to speak to a manager who never took my call. This is not a good representation for a company. Their process involves a 48 hour window from when you reserve the house, to then complete the online lease and to call with payment. I reserved the house, signed the lease, and called the next day to give them my credit card. It was 11am and I found out my reservation was canceled by the manager, who was off today and wouldn't be back til 9am tomorrow. I was encouraged to leave a message because Stacy might check her voicemail. What lousy customer service. 1. They cancel the reservation 2. They never contact me to advise of any issue leading them to have to cancel 3. No one available to explain it to me all day on a Thursday - because Stacy is off and no one else can help me 4. Friday at 1:50 Stacy finally calls. My situation of a canceled reservation wasn't shocking to any employees I spoke to. It did not even make anyone call a manager to sort this out. When the manager returned to work - I still didn't get a call until almost 2pm. She apologized and offered to rebook me and waive their fee. No thanks - I found another house with Carolina Designs and booked at 8pm that Thursday evening. It was crystal clear Outer Banks Blue wasn't all that concerned with my problem, so it was time to move on. I should have read all the reviews here before trying to work with them. I am so confused by these reviews. We had an incredible experience, renting a property, Mermaid Manor, through OBB. The entire rental process was easy and seamless, someone called me that very day to confirm and sent me all the paperwork which I filled out and sent back and received confirmation. We arrived at the house, which was perfect. It was gorgeous, clean, looked exactly like the photos if not better and there were tons of pool and beach towels (love that). I had an issue where I couldn't figure out how to set up the karaoke and I texted them on a Sunday and immediately got a response. We even broke a lamp by accident and they were super kind and understanding about it. I would 110% rent from Outer Banks blue again. read more

We booked a vacation home through Outer Banks Blue for Memorial Day Weekend this year. Needless to say, WON'T BE DOING THAT AGAIN! First of all, the house "A Promise Kept" was in bad shape - black mold in places, lots of dust which has been there for months not weeks, dead bugs all over the house including covering the dining room table, multiple toilets did not work, etc. So don't book that house. But more importantly, don't book from Outer Banks Blue! Our experience began when we checked in Thursday night and the house had not been cleaned from previous occupants. Imagine trying to get 11 kids to sleep around midnight after the cleaning crew comes to do a quick clean/provide sheets. We have been booking beach houses in the Outer Banks for over ten years and have never had an experience like this. Even still, I would expect Outer Banks Blue to provide reasonable compensation but they only offered to refund $200 for the cleaning fee. I mean obviously they owe us that because the house wasn't cleaned! In my mind, we paid for 4 nights and were only provided services for a 3 night stay. We would never have booked the house for a Thursday arrival knowing we'd walk into that situation. But after speaking directly to Terry with Outer Banks Blue, the $200 refund was the best he could do "per North Carolina state law". That was the line he gave me over the phone anyway. Not willing to discuss anything beyond that. So just know that if you book with these folks, you better hope nothing goes wrong because in the end, it's not Terry's problem. Don't rent from them! There are plenty of fair and reasonable companies, Twiddy and Carolina Designs are great choices. We deposited $1000 for a two week rental. We canceled this reservation and rented another property. One of the canceled weeks was re-rented. Even though we did rebook another property ($12,800 for the week), Outer Banks Blue refused to return any of our original $1000 deposit. Office staff were rude and completely inflexible. Stayed at Now and Then trough Outer Banks Blue Reality. Stay away. It started off with the office Giving out the door code to one of our visitors. With in minutes of arriving we notified the office that the ice machine was not working, all plastic chairs in the pool area were broken and that the kitchen drawers were littered with bugs and bug waste. I was informed that they had 48 hours to respond. 148 hours later I informed them that all issues still existed and no one ever showed. Only to be told to call someone else. We have used this company since 2018 and stayed at Even Steven; it is in need of updates, maintenance and general cleaning. I don't think cleaning crew cleaned well if at all, we found men's boxers in the pool area outside, house needed swept because it was dirty and sandy, our bed was even sandy upon arrival... I had clean the house to feel like I could enjoy the vacation, then we had a dead possum on our property when OBB wanted us to take him to the curb for trash pick up in a couple days...The Smell! The Bugs!! and that is exactly what we ended up doing after waiting for them to remove it for us!! We had a broken window in the lower level pool bar area that was partially covered with cardboard, Ants, Ants and more Ants, we ended up purchasing Ant bait. I have pictures of all. This area has gotten too built up!!! This used to be relaxing too many people now. Poteskeet area beach is too crowded in July! Wifi rarely worked, but we remember that from years past, just an accumulation that this was out last time at the house! Positives - The pool is nice and short walk to the beach. read more

We stayed in an Outer Banks Blue rental July 8-15th, Duck Dreams SSV-7 and was highly disappointed. Place was NOT properly cleaned, not swept, not vacuumed, medication found on carpet, not dusted. There were balls of dog hair all over as well as dog food found around the couches. Housekeeping did come out later in the day and even said the cleaning done was not acceptable! Sand in the drawers, moldy ice maker, Pool filter not cleaned as well as lights in and around pool not working. Air conditioner not working properly, which maintenance finally came out 4 days later to fix that! House was not worth the $12,000 for the week that we paid for. I contacted the company several times for some reimbursement and heard NOTHING! Never again with Outer Banks Blue!! read more

So...this was my very first vacation to the outer banks of NC. Recommendations to visit Duck, NC were given to me from a number of my friends. I decided to book a vacation rental for my family of 10. I wanted so much to love this vacation! We booked a vacation rental through Outer Banks Blue Realty. Much to my chagrin, I didn't research reviews before booking. We were very disappointed. The house was filthy and needs a lot of attention to upkeep. I truly believe that this company needs new cleaning crews and better supervision of their properties. They did quickly attend to our requests for emergency cleaning though the cleaning service swept all of the debris down the steps and did not re vacuum. I wanted to love this house and this experience with Outer Banks Blue but, it fell so short of my expectations and my family members were surprised that we spent over 3500.00 for this experience. Our family has rented through Outer Banks Blue for the last 9 years. My Mother and Father in-law rent a place every year so they can have all their Children and Grand Children under one roof for a week every year to make family memories. This year we arrive at the house and there is no AC and there are small window units in the windows of all the bedrooms but the master and it was 81 degrees in the house. No call, no warning, no nothing. Luckily I live here on the Outer Banks and I was able to barrow a AC for the Master Bedroom. The next morning my father in law receives an automated text asking if we had a pleasant check in. He replies with a note about the AC and the lack of a unit in the master and he received a reply that it had been referred to an outside vendor. Still no Call. The vendor (R.A.Hoy) shows up monday afternoon and after some time the tech says he believes there is a leak outside and it will have to be checked and he left. Still no call. My Father in law sent them a text telling them it was not fixed. It was after hours and the tech left because it was quitting time. Crickets from OB Blue. Tuesday was 4th of July and the house was a sweltering 85 degrees. Thursday I finally called and let them know this was unacceptable for a company that is in the hospitality business to treat guest. Later that day another tech comes out and says the leak is in the attic but it is too hot in the attic and he will come back early in the morning. Still nothing from OB Blue. On Friday the Rental Manager calls and tell my Father in Law how sorry she is and the they will move us if we want. We have one day left, who is going to pack and move for one day. On Sunday as we were moving out the tech shows up and tell my mother in law he fixed it and it was missing an O ring. It took him less than 30 Minutes to fix and we were without AC for a week. When it was all said and done they told my father in law they were sending him $250 for all our trouble. I have worked in the hospitality business on the OBX and lived here for 37 years and have known Tim Cafferty for may of those years. It surprises me that he would run his business on emails, text and no personal service. Sad. Needless to say we are done with Outer Banks Blue. read more
