Came across Outdoor World when I started looking for a replacement for my 2006 Ferris Zero-Turn and sure glad I did! They had the best prices of anyone especially with the zero percent financing on their Stihl mowers. They gave me a reasonable trade-in for my old Ferris and I ended up buying a Stihl RZ752i Zero Turn. And they were throwing in the upgraded suspension seat at no additional cost! JR and the rest of the staff were amazing throughout the process and JR actually helped me decide between the Stihl RZ552 and the RZ752i. I changed to the RZ752i and sure glad I did! I have about 10 hours on it and it's been outstanding, great ride, nice cut and just feels like a high quality machine! The only hiccup was the that assembler failed to tighten the battery cables so after about 7 hours it failed to start and there was some "arcing" from the loose connection. Easy fix, tightened up the connections and no further issues. Would not hesitate to buy again from the guys and so impressed that I'm willing to drive the 40 miles from my house and have them do the scheduled maintenance on it. In my opinion, you can't go wrong giving these guys a chance to earn your business. read more

Took my mower up there today because it would not stay running. I had left gas in it during the winter last year. They realized I knew which end of a screwdriver to hold and gave me some tips to help get it running. Rather than charge me for work, I listened to their advice and got the mower running. Terrible customer service. I have gone there a few times for Toro lawnmower repairs, but they always act like doing paid work is a pain for them. Larry, the "service" manager has no concept of good service, doesn't answer the phone and doesn't return phone calls. Getting a realistic time estimate out of them is a joke. And forget about them notifying you that your mower is ready in a timely fashion. I have picked up my mower and afterward received a phone call that it was ready to be picked up. Although their location is convenient, there are better options a little farther away that I will use going forward. read more

Here's my beef with outdoor world. Bought a zero turn there 2 years ago; no problem with the equipment or that experience. However in the handful of times I have been back, getting someone to help is like pulling frog's teeth. One time I went to look at pole-saws. JR, the owner was helpful. Went back to get an oil filter - waited and waited for a long time and left empty handed. Very slow; and no acknowledgement from any employee, not even a "forgive me, I'll be right with you". Back for filter. $17 for an oil filter. Wow. So now I'll get them on line. Went in to look at chainsaws. Wasn't there to get help and didn't receive any. Just checking the displays and pricing. Today, ready to buy a chain saw and leaf blower. From them? Not necessarily but I am ready to buy. I could have been talked into a pair of Stihl's in a New York minute. About 10 minutes in store, looking at chainsaw and blower displays. Nobody even asked me if I was lost. Guy behind the parts counter never looked up from his computer screen. Never acknowledged I was alive. Too many other places to go JR. Wake your people up. read more

I purchased a toro ss3216 and immediately started having problems. within the first week every bolt holding the motor to the frame fell out. I had to have every bolt hole redone. At 3 months the starter is going out, the blade has stopped turning, and the battery is no good. I took it to a toro dealer closer to where I live and they tell me it is not covered under warranty. I am on the phone right now trying to find out about a front tire and was hanged up on after being on hold several minutes. I called back, talked to Dwayne, told him what mower I have (the toro ss 3216) and he acted like he didn't want to look up the part. He came back and said he didn't have the part number. I asked him didn't he have that model in store, he said no He said he would call toro to find out about the tire and would call me back. . You can bet I will never use this store again. Horrible service and attitude. read more
