In the storm we had a tree land on the house, trying to find someone to remove it we asked and call around. My husband is a guy that looks at reviews he found Mr. Steve Briggs yelp rating and was amazed at how high it was so I call but just as we I called the company that was cutting down the BIG tree here on Strieff came by to check on our tree so I hung up the phone. Before the person could leave our home Mr. Briggs called me back so I told him for calling but we had just made a deal with this other company. Now this company told me they would be back in the morning I was pleased with this because I wanted this tree off my house. Ok, rise and shine with the next morning hopefully all will go well. So I start the waiting and waiting now it is 12 something so I text this company that is going to cut the tree. I ask can you give me a time, I get a text back 5 or 6 that evening. At this point I text Mr. Briggs and send him some pictures. This man Mr. Briggs called me back he asked questions had I given money or signed anything I told him no he was pleased. He asked who was doing the job I told him. At this point I said I would cancel them and wait for him he said no they were not the best but they were capable of doing the job and as busy as all the tree services were keep the bird in the hand as even his company would be 3 to 4 days getting to us. But he than said he would come by when they were doing the job and my husband saw him drive past, then he called to ask if the did the job I said yes but they didn't trap the two big holes in the roof this man gave me the number of a roofer. The job was delayed, communication was poor throughout, and my property was damaged. The crew also left the work in an unacceptable condition as a completed job before I had to request them to correct the horrible planting (see photo). What professional company would leave a job like this? What's most frustrating is that I simply requested a $250 refund (about 20% of the total cost) to cover the damage. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, I was put through an unnecessarily difficult process. I ultimately paid the full invoice just to move on. This company used to provide reliable, high-quality service, which is why I stayed with them for so long. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
