We have an old gas fireplace and to start it the front screen and a trim piece have to be removed. They offered to install a remote starter which they did. Now I can light it without removing the screen and it works like a charm. I was told that I probably would be needing a new generator. He showed no interest in actually making a service call. I called another company and their tech came out on the 24th. He found and repaired the issue within 10 minutes, which was a solenoid terminal had come off the starter. After making the simple repair, he said he could not in good conscience charge me a service fee, but only charged for his milage. I will give the Generator Doctor an extra star as he did promptly return my phone call on the 19th, but otherwise, I am not impressed with the Generator Doctor!
