I hired Chimene & Charlie Puska of Coastal Cottage Concierge in April 2019 to perform shrub trimming and related landscape maintenance at my home in Rosemary Beach, FL. After showing them the scope of the work to be done, I agreed to their request for a 50% premium in monthly service cost over my prior vendor in order to get a premium service. I paid each monthly invoice promptly through July of 2019 including paying an extra $30 for pine straw. My property manager advised me a week before my arrival on August 1, 2019 that the landscape work of Coastal Cottage Concierge had many deficiencies. I tried to contact Chimene and Charlie to remedy the deficiencies before my arrival. They informed me by email that they were leaving town and were suspending all services to me. I repeatedly tried to reach them by phone, text message, and email to no avail. Upon arrival at my home on August 1st, I found that while some of the shrubs had indeed been trimmed, the majority of the landscaping had not been touched. Weeds were growing throughout the pine straw that simply needed to be pulled. No fresh pine straw was applied despite the fact that I had paid for it. The rear courtyard was severely overgrown and in need of a hard trim. Finally, my irrigation system had two significant leaks which not only caused water geysers, but also prevented water from flowing to the plants that needed watering. This resulted in drought related stress to some of my plants and bushes. So not only did they not provide the premium service that we had agreed on, but they didn't provide the pine straw application that I paid for, and they left me in lurch, forcing me to find a replacement landscape service provider on short notice. I have tried repeatedly to reach them by phone, text message, and email. They owe me a refund and an apology. Stay away from these dishonest and disreputable people. They are not to be trusted. Consumer's Desired Resolution: Chimene and Charlie Puska, through their company Coastal Cottage Concierge, should refund the $30 that I paid for pine straw that was never installed and $200 for not providing the premium service that they had agreed to over the 4 months that I was paying them and then leaving me in a lurch.

Only two of the project managers (including Augy Gavenda for Timberman) actually walked the roof to see how bad the current roof was and see if there were any special situations, like a flatter part of our roof that handles a large quantity of runoff coming from a valley in the roof above. We received quotations from the four companies of which one was considerably more expensive than the other three. The remaining three were within $1K of each other. Just to be sure we were comparing apples to apples, we made sure that all of the quotations included similar items such as a water proof barrier, similarly warranted shingles and venting, similarly warranted labor and roof replacement, etc. Where there were differences, we asked for and received clarifications so that we could fairly compare the three quotes. We selected Timberman Roofing to replace our roof. They were the middle quotation of the three, but they had very high online ratings and Augy seemed to be more detail minded to us. He was quick to return our emails and calls. My wife commented about how courteous he was when she contacted him to ask a question. Our search began in November of 2023 and we finally were scheduled to have our roof installed in March of 2024. The crew that Timberman used to replace our roof worked extremely well together. They cleared the old roof and got the new roof installed in roughly two days, including installing some new flashing and siding that the wildlife had made a mess of. Both of my next door neighbor's commented about how hard the crew worked and how coordinated they were to make the job go efficiently. When they were done, they cleared all of the remaining waste and were so meticulous about getting up loose nails that I have only found one since they left. There were some additional costs above the fixed quotation, which we knew could be the case. Because of the age of our roof, a fairly large number of plywood sheets had to be replaced, some joists needed partial reframing, and there were other wood items that had to be replaced. We had figured the actual cost could be as much as 10% over the base quotation and were pleased that the total was slightly less than that. All in all, we are happy that we selected Timberman Roofing to install our new roof. Augy was great to work with throughout the whole process. We highly recommend Timberman to anyone who needs a new roof.
