Oversprayed paint on our concrete, brick, roof, roof shingles, and solar panels. Our new gate…read morewon't close after one week, fence is completely coming apart after one week, no show April 24, 2025 to come fix fence, gate, and clean up overspray on concrete, brick, and white dog door in back. Altered invoices AFTER paid in full to include $150 to remove one screw and a corner board from carport while having the ladder nearby, would have gladly paid $25 or $50 but not $150 but Leslie did this. Added another line item of paint $220. They still owe us $1150 for the overpayment which we thought was for fencing but was for the discount they gave us due to the job being around $12,000. Even though they advertise on Yelp, Nextdoor, and HOUZZ and other apps that they are a General Contractor, they are not and in Okaloosa County and the state of Florida they are NOT licensed to do siding and failed to put flashing on our new siding so insurance will not take off the "red flag" until it is done correctly. Exterior doors, structural repairs, roofing, new electrical, is not allowed in Okaloosa County. They are a nice couple at first, they want the job and the money but if you tell them something is potentially wrong or even ask questions about your project, they go into defense mode despite the evidence. We even asked Leslie if a permit was required for the fence she said no and that is correct, but a permit is required for the siding they put in and they did not pull the permit. Mr Ortiz cut a pipe in the back by the back master bedroom and bathroom and it flooded the next day for nearly one full week. We did not blame them only asked if they knew where the water might be coming from inside since the pipe in the middle of the house was disturbed. The overspray on our roof shingles and solars panels is something TIMMERMAN ROOFING, who came out to inspect, has never seen in their many years of business. A total disregard for protecting our roof and we had no idea until our neighbors brought it to our attention. Leslie refused us 3x to come clean up the overspray; they charged us for pressure washing $200 and as you can see in the photos they never did the tops of them, they are still filthy but the guys who did it before just used a ladder but Leslie charged us anyway. And they DO NOT GUARANTEE THEIR WORK/labor AS ADVERTISED and are NOT GENERAL CONTRACTORS as shown in their company photos and titled Advertisements. We do not recommend using them at all.

All 3 jobs that they have done for us has been great. They work fast from start to finish. Everyone of their workers that has been at our house are very hard workers. The price was reasonable. I hired Chimene & Charlie Puska of Coastal Cottage Concierge in April 2019 to perform shrub trimming and related landscape maintenance at my home in Rosemary Beach, FL. After showing them the scope of the work to be done, I agreed to their request for a 50% premium in monthly service cost over my prior vendor in order to get a premium service. I paid each monthly invoice promptly through July of 2019 including paying an extra $30 for pine straw. My property manager advised me a week before my arrival on August 1, 2019 that the landscape work of Coastal Cottage Concierge had many deficiencies. I tried to contact Chimene and Charlie to remedy the deficiencies before my arrival. They informed me by email that they were leaving town and were suspending all services to me. I repeatedly tried to reach them by phone, text message, and email to no avail. Upon arrival at my home on August 1st, I found that while some of the shrubs had indeed been trimmed, the majority of the landscaping had not been touched. Weeds were growing throughout the pine straw that simply needed to be pulled. No fresh pine straw was applied despite the fact that I had paid for it. The rear courtyard was severely overgrown and in need of a hard trim. Finally, my irrigation system had two significant leaks which not only caused water geysers, but also prevented water from flowing to the plants that needed watering. This resulted in drought related stress to some of my plants and bushes. So not only did they not provide the premium service that we had agreed on, but they didn't provide the pine straw application that I paid for, and they left me in lurch, forcing me to find a replacement landscape service provider on short notice. I have tried repeatedly to reach them by phone, text message, and email. They owe me a refund and an apology. Stay away from these dishonest and disreputable people. They are not to be trusted. Consumer's Desired Resolution: Chimene and Charlie Puska, through their company Coastal Cottage Concierge, should refund the $30 that I paid for pine straw that was never installed and $200 for not providing the premium service that they had agreed to over the 4 months that I was paying them and then leaving me in a lurch.

The sales people would have earned 5-stars, but since the installers are part of their business, I have no hesitation rating it 1-star. I was deployed to the Middle East in support or Operations Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, when my wife went to Carpet One to have our house renovated with new carpets and install tile and hardwood flooring as a surprise for me when I returned. She told me the sales folks were really friendly and knowledgeable, and they were patient with her until she had finally made her decisions. My wife was thoroughly pleased with them and felt confident she was going to have first-rate installers install everything professionally. Oh, how wrong she was to assume that. As I said before, I was deployed at the time, so I wasn't around to oversee and quality check the installers' work, and I think they thought they could pull one over on my wife and do a half-ass job. At first, my wife thought after all the installation was complete that they did a really good job. But after some time passed, and the excitement of having new carpet/tile/hardwood flooring installed in our entire house passed by, she began to see some flaws. But she didn't see problems that were that big of a deal. When I finally returned from my deployment and settled back into routine life, I began to notice some serious issues that even I - at the time, completely ignorant of all types of flooring installation - knew were unprofessional, sloppy and lazy work. Here are just some of the problems I found (I'm sure there are quite a few I'm forgetting): With having new hardwood floors, the installers had to put in quarter round moulding at the baseboards. The problem with that was they didn't cut them to correct sizes, and didn't even use "returns" where it terminated at locations like doorway jambs or middle of the wall. What quarter round they did install, they didn't fill in the nail holes, let alone even caulk or paint it. At our back door we began to see water damage to our hardwood. We had someone come out from the store, but their lame excuse was that we had a leak from our door and it wasn't their fault. They didn't listen to us when we said we didn't have any problem before having hardwood installed. Our kitchen/breakfast room have tile, while the living room has hardwood. The installers used a strip of wood to cover-up the seam between the two mediums, but they didn't sit in flat, nor even cut it to the right size. As for the rooms we had tile installed, I have found numerous places where they didn't cut the tiles correctly, got grout on the baseboards and they didn't seal the tile grout. And it really pisses me off that these idiots didn't remove the baseboards' old caulking prior to installing the tiles and sealing them with grout. Now one can see caulking sticking out from the grout, but if I tried removing it, then I would pull grout out also. All in all, it is the lack of quality these lazy, non-professional charlatans demonstrated to us that has caused me to learn DIY for everything inside and out for our home (plumbing, electrical, flooring, etc), and I now refuse to hire any more "professionals," because I have learned I am the only one who really cares to do the job right in my house! Final words: If you know how to install carpet/tile/hardwood, then I would recommend you stop by and see the sales folks, because they really are nice people. If you need installers, then steer clear of using Carpet One's folks!!!
