I'm delighted to be the first one to offer a review on this site. Our needs were simple. We wanted to have a maintenance free composite deck to replace our outdated wooden deck. Practically all the deck builders that we got quotes from were over $25K - $35K. These were WAY outside our budget. All Squared Up explained it like this. So many businesses after Covid, were charging more due to supply. Sadly for consumers many businesses never reduced their prices when supply disruptions were no longer an issue. There is also so much competition with composite material, prices are not high. Before you select a deck builder, based on the number of reviews on Yelp/Google, request a quote from All Squared Up. We highly recommend! Honest communication, commitment, with an equal dose of skilled perfection and honest pricing is what you can be assured to receive. p.s. After completing the deck, they re-did our side porch, making it composite too and reducing the step size. allowing the steps to be more shallow.

I first met with the project manager December 9, 2025. We had purchased a home and wanted a…read moresunroom addition and interior work done. my goal was to have the work done by June/July. When we realized we would not move in for a couple of months I asked the project manager to see if he could separate the quotes and do interior renovations before moving in. This was a "NO" so that 20k of work went to another contractor. Note this was the beginning of January so I assume not a super busy time. By mid March I still did not have a quote/idea on how much addition would cost...not even a ballpark. I was the one that kept calling/checking in to get status update. Needless to say I decided to end discussion. The new company starts work next week. Poor customer service/communication cost this company in excess of $150k of work. Another company is starting work next week. The only reason that I'm posting this is that I'm looking for additional work to be done and realize how much I depend on/look at reviews.

All the workers we dealt with were pleasant and relatively competent. The reason I would not recommend Coastal Contracting is primarily due to the lack of follow through with their one year warranty on materials. Our addition has been completed for about 9 months at this point, and we have had 3 distinct issues come up. Twice the HVAC has failed, and once the shower plumbing was malfunctioning. The first time the HVAC failed was right before the ice storm of early 2026, and we called the installing company to arrange service. They came out promptly and fixed the HVAC (faulty part, but we now had heat!) but we were told that we had to pay out of pocket for repairs since we did not first contact Coastal in writing. Ok. It then failed a second time right before the heat wave of July 4th weekend, so we contacted Coastal. We did get a personal email back after business hours saying that they would contact us after the weekend, which after 2 business days we have not heard from them. Again we did some repairs on our own. The plumbing issue happened between the two HVAC issues, so I was wise to submit my request for service in writing and followed up with a phone call, during which I was assured I would hear back...which I never did. It is just disappointing. Also disappointing were the many mis-ordered parts and vanity that delayed our project, the cut corners that we had to be vigilant about inspecting, and the surprise few thousand dollar increase in fee for a plumbing issue they did not see when they were quoting us. They admitted they didn't look under the house as they should have (I thought we were paying for their expertise?), but assured us that we could be happy that we were still getting a good deal. Maybe these hiccups and lack of communication after they get their check are all normal on a project of this size-I don't have any other point of comparison.

After looking at the job, he gave me price of $500. I thought that was a little high and expressed my opinion. He then lowered his price to $400 if I would let him do the job today. I could tell that he really needed the work, so I agreed and we shook hands. He then asked me for a 25% deposit. I told him that I didn't pay upfront and that was a deal breaker for me. As I turned to walk away, he said; "I need to get some gas and a new chainsaw blade to do the job, could you at least give me $50?" I knew better, but I felt sorry for the guy. We had the worst experience with this company providing poor quality wallpaper installation,…read morehanging shades backwards, and the tv mount not being installed level. I spoke with the owner, Diego, the day of expressing all of my concerns and he accused me of not wanting to pay after the job was 90% complete. (The job wasn't even 60% complete) Highly offensive when the pictures speak a thousand words of poor quality work. Very upsetting to move into our new home with adhesive on the floor, poor seams with adhesive going down the walls, smudges, adhesive on our countertops, and wallpaper falling off the wall. I've reached out to the company via email several times to express my concerns along with a request to be reimbursed for the wallpaper at least with no response back. I would highly NOT recommend them. They don't even deserve a 1 star.

I needed a 24 inch fluorescent ceiling light replaced with an LED fixture, removal and replacement of rotted wood kick plate on my shed, and a sheet rock involved repair of a toilet roll dispenser in my bathroom. An appointment was set for the following week. I was contacted 15 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to let me know they were on their way. A crew of 3 workers arrived, along with the company owner. All three jobs were completed within 1.5 hours. The quality of work was excellent. The price for the job was also very good. I would consider using Red Cedar Management again.
