My girlfriend doesn't. But I like the thrill of things that scare me or you can say I like to compromise and make my girlfriend happy though she knew nothing about this until I told her haha. Vlad is a great guy- funny, attentive, and accommodating. It was about a 30 minute tour of Pocono and he was very informative and I would say caring. He asked us several times if we were ok and was overall a great pilot. It was much more fun than I expected! The views were beautiful and I can honestly say we'll book with him again when we are there in the summer for a different tour! Plenty of pictures were taken and he took pictures of us with the plane at the end. A little pricey but I'll say it was worth it for the experience. Give him a shot, you won't regret it!

They minimize the instruction, but you still get to drive the sled yourself. Look at the dang ole picture I posted. How cool is that? Sure, it's fun to careen down a hill on a sled, especially after a few glasses of hard eggnog. But it's yet another thing to mush (be dragged by) six out-of-control dogs that totally love running as much as you love being pulled along. First, you meet the dogs, all adorable. (Many were rescued from shelters, all of them want to run-run-run. And all of them are good with people -- these aren't exactly Iditarod dogs. Your sled will only have 3-8 dogs instead of the usual 14.) Then, after a few more basic pointers, mostly having to do with standing without falling and braking, you get your sea legs by "driving" the sled behind a snowmobile. Finally you're thrown out there, your safety net being the dude on a snowmobile. The course is a golf course, no steering involved. I love you Willow, Snuggles, Yazzie, Mingus, Otis, and Stumpy. I can't stand pushy men, he also followed us into our rental, when my friend insisted on carrying the pizza. If you are a woman planning a bachelorette, maybe think twice. Update: I also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office. This kind of false advertisement needs to be stopped, a communication about the trolley is the only thing I expected. This is worded no where that a shuttle will be used in place of a trolley.

When you grow up in Northeast PA (NEPA), you go to the Coal Mine Tour. Now from my childhood I only remembered that there was an incline that you descended and that it was slightly cold underground, so I decided to revisit the tour as an adult on a recent trip home to NEPA. I have to say that it is an incredibly eye-opening tour as an adult. You don your hardhat and take a car down a shaft into the mine itself. Your guide then takes you through parts of the mine and educates you on how mining was done in this area at the turn of the century. This was backbreaking, awful work and I couldn't be happier that this is no longer a job for people in this area. Having grown up in the area, it's incredibly humbling to look a breaker boy and think that it would have been my job if I was born 100 years earlier. The Coal Mine tour is a very educational activity and one that I would recommend to anyone who's visiting or to anyone who may have done the tour as a child and who would want to revisit it as an adult.

The stop for hot cocoa and marshmallows was such a cute touch, and honestly perfect for warming up a bit. Sitting there burning smores and laughing with my team felt very wholesome in the best way. I also really appreciated how low-impact this was. I'm pretty out of shape and deal with back issues, and I had zero discomfort the entire time. It was a beautiful fall night and such a memorable experience. I'd absolutely come back again, but bring my partner with next time.
