Service is generally very good . Attentive servers , not along wait time on food . Biggest problem I see this this restaurant and many others is simply the seasoning . I understand most food comes in frozen and simply heated up . The noodles are so bland..They may toss they in an olive oil seasoning of some sort because , they are Greasy, but tasteless. I realize this is corporate controlled . People responsible for quality and overall goodness of the items offered on the menu need to get away from desk and taste test items in all stores . This location is the one. It was busy this Sunday, but they were getting people in and out. Our quoted wait time was accurate. Our waitress was extremely attentive and our drinks were never empty. The food was great, the only blunder was the wait time for our appetizer. Not sure what happened but they gave it to us on the house to apologize for the wait. Very clean, buzzing and busy. After months of intending to go to Outback, I finally went. And I have to say I was surprised. The quality of service was one of the best I have ever experienced. My steak was overcooked and before I could ask for a recook my server offered one. She had seen the pale grey of medium and jumped to my rescue! I had the Melbourne porterhouse with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak, after getting a new one was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was to die for. It reminded me of how I cook my own steak when at home! The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious once again the seasoning was strong and yet not overpowering. I had a wonderful time dipping it in the juice from the steak; simply fantastic. The asparagus was light seasoned with butter and oh so heavenly. Fork tender it also was delicious with the steak juices. We got there early around opening and the ambulance was vibrant and yet never did I feel crowded. The seats were comfortable and spacious; plenty of elbow room. The music was played at a tasteful level and didn't impair conversation. The tables and silverware were clean, the glasses sparkling. Overall a clean, orderly, welcoming atmosphere! To summarize, this location made me feel welcome and comfortable. I will definitely be returning. I think it's safe to say that the staff are the glue that really pulled everything together and made the experience just that much better. 10/10 will be back! read more

Just stopped by for a quick bite in this brand new restaurant in Pell City. Beautiful place! I've never seen an Outback like this one. It's a lot smaller in the dining room and less cluttered feeling. You'll appreciate it! There's a nice full bar with TVs catching the game too! The bathrooms very clean and the dining was as well. The staff were all very friendly and our server met us promptly taking our drink order. She was very friendly with polite conversation as well as suggestions for our meal. We told her that we were just having appetizers, so she recommended the wings and the shrimp. She brought us some bread and butter, but it wasn't very appetizing in appearance. I tried it, it was bread. Nothing spectacular. Our drinks got to us quickly and our food was quick to follow. The wings were really good! Great flavor, lots of spicy goodness! The shrimp were hot and very tasty! The only issue we had was that the shrimp were on the greasy side. They were very good, but after 6 or 7 the grease got to be a little much. In all it's a great location and a beautiful restaurant. We'll visit again and get a steak! Thanks for the snack!! read more

DON'T GO IF YOU HAVE A PARTY OF MORE THAN 4. Note to any groups going out to eat at this restaurant, if you have more than 4 people in your party GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The old lady that works the seating is probably top 5 the rudest individuals I have ever met. She made it seem us having more than 4 was a huge problem. We had 4 adults and two kids. It didn't have to be as big of a problem as it was made to be. So we finally asked for two tables to winch she put us at two booths a booth away from each other. I will say once we got seated our waitress was wonderful and the food was really good. read more

I had Sunday lunch here today for the second time recently. The first time a couple of weeks ago was a little better than today. The one appetizer that Outback is known for came to the table cold. It was discussing. A fried onion is not good cold. If I had been eating alone I would have sent it back. Based on the prices they charge nothing should come to the table cold. So, we had a party join your establishment today. High-school kids and coaches. We had just completed holiday charity work and chose Outback for lunch. After lunch we paid our bill via credit card and then we left cash tips on the table. The server and manager on duty complained to the coaches and teenagers noting we did not tip on the credit card. She said this is why we are hesitant to take parties. She also said the coaches should police the teenagers on what they present as a tip. The manager made a big deal about it as well as the server prior to cleaning off the table. If they would have checked back at the end, they would have noticed we as a whole tipped generously in cash. I wonder when, in the restaurant industry, it became ok to say a word regarding gratuity. Whether good or bad? Terrible ending to what could have been a great guest experience. Word of mouth speaks volume regarding marketing. Outback of Pell City, you have failed to create a brand champion. You have however granted me the ability to evangelize for your loacation...however likely not in a regard you would choose. I hope you get better at building a whole great experience for your patrons. read more
