We go to Outback pretty regularly and service and product vary more than you would think from location to location, especially for a chain restaurant. Because we travel with our dog and don't want to leave her, we made a pick up order. We started with the Down Under Trio for our appetizer. I like the fried mozzarella bloomerangs and my husband likes the bloomin' onion petals. We share the cheese fries. We like that it comes with multiple sauces. I usually order the porkchops from most locations but some do not offer it and I could not find it on the menu here so I chose the Alice springs chicken instead. It was fine and I like the honey mustard sauce. My husband tried the steak and shrimp pasta at this location and it's definitely a good serving but the presentation wasn't the best. He enjoyed it and it filled him up. This location is fine. It took a little longer for our order to be ready than usual and they forgot to put utensils in the bag but at least they didn't leave out any food items. It's a bit pricey for what you get. Our personal preference is not a lot of pepper. They peppered his vegetables and the salad! The blooming onion was too spicy for our taste as well. I ordered a salad my spouse ordered a steak, it was good but the steak was tiny. We told them to go easy on the seasoning with the steak. The service was terrible! We had eight people at our table and ordered the blooming onion, you would have thought they would have brought out serving plates with it so we could share across the table but no no no. We asked for plates by time we got them the onion was cold. We had to ask for straws 3 times before we got them. Had to ask for refills for our drinks. And it took too long for our meals to come out. Way too long. We were celebrating a Birthday and no one came to sing happy birthday just plopped a scoop of ice cream with a candle in it in front of her. Bye! Service was slow and bad. After getting blindsided by a sad little episode over at In-N-Out, I found myself doing what any reasonable grown man would do... retreating to Outback Steakhouse - Kaiser Station like it was a sanctuary for the wounded and the hungry. Now I didn't walk in there with high hopes. No sir. I walked in like a man who just got stood up by his own cheeseburger. Expectations were low... borderline underground. But then bam. Steak comes out like it's got something to prove. Cooked just right, like somebody in that kitchen actually gives a damn. Seafood? Sitting there warm and proper, not acting like it just woke up from a nap. And those fries hot. Not "kinda warm if you believe hard enough" I'm talking honest-to-God hot. Service? Smooth. The kind of smooth where you don't even notice it at first. Next thing you know, your drink's full, your table's clean, and your mood's done a complete 180. And the place itself clean, sharp, even the bathrooms looked like they had a little pride in themselves. That's how you know you're somewhere decent. Ain't nobody faking clean bathrooms. Walking out, I had that rare feeling... like maybe the universe owed me one and finally paid up. Outback didn't just fix dinner it restored a little faith in the whole going-out-to-eat operation. Compared to when we came in a few days ago, it was a complete 180° . Some this took a little longer but our wonderful waitress had a lot of tables she was working on. Our blooming onion was forgotten but when we told her we wanted our appetizer first she took our food back and we got our blooming onion we had ordered and they removed it from our ticket. Then REMADE new plates fir our main course. Our food was brought fresh. Everything tasted great, lately places seem to over salt the steaks. I forgot to ask for no salt but they did awesome. Outback has taken a step back as a whole in recent years. As a road-warrior I often would make Outback a standard stop of quality and consistency. The past few years; however, I've noticed a decline in both quality of food and service. This visit was no different. Restaurant was relatively empty and the staff were very friendly but the service was extremely slow. While my ribs were decent I found my salad to be soggy and inedible. It seemed like the salad had been in the cooler for a several days. As a result Outback has slipped down my list of chains I frequent. read more

Every single thing about this particular Outback is Outstanding. We celebrated a dear elderly friend's birthday tonight; the food could not have been better. The manager, Timothy, went above and beyond to take personal care of us, helping us look for a key fob, even inlooking around our cars! This is the 3rd year in a row where I came from out of town this visit was December 23rd at 1pm Our waitress needs further training. One of the cooks came out and spoke to a few tables but not ours. I had a steak that was overcooked my friend had ribs and last had the springs chicken. Hers was the best. I tried to complain but as it was it took 25 minutes to get our drinks and bread. This is the first Outback that I've visited in many many years. This location was near my hotel and convenient. I arrived somewhat early for dinner, maybe around 4:00pm or so. There was a couple different families inside eating. The reception stand wasn't being manned by anyone and I waited quite awhile for someone to come assist me. I was given a nice table, prompt server, and I ordered the prime rib, French onion soup and baked potato. They arrived quickly, hot and well prepared. Of course the soup was excellent as was the potato...but let me tell you that the prime rib was remarkable...excellent seasoning and cooked perfectly. Give them a try, you will be amazed. read more

S*** my wife and I both just about had a foodgasm when we tried these. I've had mozzarella sticks everywhere, and they never stand out. This however was completely different. I need more, like stat. I've had good experiences at this Outback, but the most recent was pretty mediocre. We were there on a busy Saturday night, so we understood that things took a little longer, but it also seemed to impact the quality of the food. The Bloomin' Onion appetizer was even more greasy than normal, and left a puddle underneath it; likely from the cooking oil not being maintained at optimum temperature. I ordered a 6 oz. filet mignon (requested medium) with fries and broccoli. The fries and broccoli were fine, but the steak was exceptionally charred on one side (borderline burnt), and it was cooked to medium well. Luckily, you can get away with that with a tender cut like a filet. Overall, it was okay. I might come back again if in the Keizer area, but it won't be my first choice. read more

There were multiple empty tables when we got there and the host insisted on cleaning a different table for us and proceeded to have a conversation with her other co-workers instead of helping us when the restaurant was empty. We chose to come here with my parents who flew in from out of town. Had never been to this location but enjoyed other locations. Our waiter was very inattentive. He would disappear for large amounts of time. We ordered our drinks and appetizers but then had to wait close to 40 minutes after being there to order our entrees. My mom had ordered an additional drink and had to remind the waiter to go get it from the bar. Once she received it she could tell it had been sitting a while as the ice had started to melt. I was mistaken, I thought sitting in the bar area, I might get better svc bc there's not so many ppl. 1st, it took 6min to be greeted amd another 3min for water and Dr.Pepper, 2nd, another 7min for the waitress to comeback and take our order..... I was very specific and to the point on my order. 2 other couple that ordered AFTER us had gotten their appetizers while my GF and I were still waiting..... The bar area stated to fill up and still no soup or salad, I couldn't even get a refill on my soda in a timely manner. Finally my GF went and talked to someone and that someone talked to someone else... apparently a manager came out and informed us that our order ticked had fallen and they didn't know. Instead of comping us a meal or both, he said he would tell the kitchen to cook the food only for us to wait ANOTHER 15-20 min..... Not sure I will ever go there again. The bartender is slow as molasses in the winter, and the barback or waitstaff are not very professional either... I guess if ur 16,inexperienced, and need a job, Outback Steakhouse might hire you. Went to Outback last night. Haven't been for many years but at a different location. My prior experience at this chain was hit and Miss and then became Miss after miss. Last night's service made up for all those misses. Very attentive and friendly staff who worked as a team to ensure food was delivered hot and didn't sit in the window while my server attended other guests. A little spendy but hey, anymore, who isn't. Meals were in the $20+ range. Burger was prepared and delivered to my grandson's specifications. Barely any pink (a good thing) in the middle. Very generous portion of fries. Granddaughter and I got the Alice Chicken. It was a good size breast, very moist and seasoned. The cheese, bacon and glaze were well proportioned to the meat. The bacon was nicely cooked so I didn't have to deal with flabby fat! Chowder was thick and creamy. The cup is closer to a bowl portion you get at other places. My salad may have been close to a pull date as there was some definite dehydration wilt to some of the lettuce but made without cucumbers as requested. Steak was TOUGH, broccoli was just a little overcooked, the 4 shrimp was cooked to perfection, but a lot of butter made them messy to eat, potato was fabulous. I entered this establishment by myself 11/27/24, was greeted warmly and kindly by the hostess. Was told to choose my own seat and enjoy my time wherever I chose. I politely obliged. Chose my seat and eagerly awaited and anticipated my dinner (I just worked 14 hours straight with no food). The young short haired bar tender was polite, kind, and very friendly. I placed my order for a 6 oz medium rare steak and shrimp, mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. I received my salad, White stumps of leftover produce, old cucumbers with brown spots, with brown pieces of lettuce EVERYWHERE. I kindly mentioned this to my server and asked for asparagus instead so as to not hassle them anymore. After 20 minutes I finally received my meal. Mashed potatoes? Cold in the center. Asparagus? Mushy and nasty. Steak? Cooked well done.. Shrimp? Burnt. I kindly mentioned all of this to my server. She was nice and had my order remade. How did it come back? EXACTLY THE SAME. I mentioned it again, and they finally remade my steak medium rare, however they left everything the same. I ordered two drinks while waiting for my food. After I received the horribly cooked food I was informed by TIM the manager thatI couldn't order anymore drinks. Even after I paid my tab and tipped them 15% in cash.
