After getting blindsided by a sad little episode over at In-N-Out, I found myself doing what any reasonable grown man would do... retreating to Outback Steakhouse - Kaiser Station like it was a sanctuary for the wounded and the hungry. Now I didn't walk in there with high hopes. No sir. I walked in like a man who just got stood up by his own cheeseburger. Expectations were low... borderline underground. But then bam. Steak comes out like it's got something to prove. Cooked just right, like somebody in that kitchen actually gives a damn. Seafood? Sitting there warm and proper, not acting like it just woke up from a nap. And those fries hot. Not "kinda warm if you believe hard enough" I'm talking honest-to-God hot. Service? Smooth. The kind of smooth where you don't even notice it at first. Next thing you know, your drink's full, your table's clean, and your mood's done a complete 180. And the place itself clean, sharp, even the bathrooms looked like they had a little pride in themselves. That's how you know you're somewhere decent. Ain't nobody faking clean bathrooms. Walking out, I had that rare feeling... like maybe the universe owed me one and finally paid up. Outback didn't just fix dinner it restored a little faith in the whole going-out-to-eat operation. Outback has taken a step back as a whole in recent years. As a road-warrior I often would make Outback a standard stop of quality and consistency. The past few years; however, I've noticed a decline in both quality of food and service. This visit was no different. Restaurant was relatively empty and the staff were very friendly but the service was extremely slow. While my ribs were decent I found my salad to be soggy and inedible. It seemed like the salad had been in the cooler for a several days. As a result Outback has slipped down my list of chains I frequent. read more

Every single thing about this particular Outback is Outstanding. We celebrated a dear elderly friend's birthday tonight; the food could not have been better. The manager, Timothy, went above and beyond to take personal care of us, helping us look for a key fob, even inlooking around our cars! Our server, Ayesha, stayed after her shift in order to take care of us on a very busy night. She was so lovely to us. Timothy & Ayesha made this evening we'll never forget. Compared to when we came in a few days ago, it was a complete 180° . Some this took a little longer but our wonderful waitress had a lot of tables she was working on. Our blooming onion was forgotten but when we told her we wanted our appetizer first she took our food back and we got our blooming onion we had ordered and they removed it from our ticket. Then REMADE new plates fir our main course. Our food was brought fresh. Everything tasted great, lately places seem to over salt the steaks. I forgot to ask for no salt but they did awesome. This is the 3rd year in a row where I came from out of town this visit was December 23rd at 1pm Our waitress needs further training. One of the cooks came out and spoke to a few tables but not ours. I had a steak that was overcooked my friend had ribs and last had the springs chicken. Hers was the best. I tried to complain but as it was it took 25 minutes to get our drinks and bread. I've never really considered myself a steak guy, everywhere I've been it's felt like entirely too much chew for too little flavor, so imagine my surprise to find myself ordering the 13oz ribeye. Let's cut to the chase. One of the best steaks I've ever had in my life, I devoured it and here I am 3 days later ready for more. The mozzarella boomerangs. Holy. F****. S*** my wife and I both just about had a foodgasm when we tried these. I've had mozzarella sticks everywhere, and they never stand out. This however was completely different. I need more, like stat. Holy s*** The sides, fantastic. I got the loaded baked potato and the steakhouse Mac and cheese. Absolutely would order again. Phenomenal. My wife got the sirloin/ribs combo and loved it. Our service: we arrived to a packed house on Saturday evening, and it took about 30 minutes to get us and our daughter seated. Is waiting fun? This is the first Outback that I've visited in many many years. This location was near my hotel and convenient. I arrived somewhat early for dinner, maybe around 4:00pm or so. There was a couple different families inside eating. The reception stand wasn't being manned by anyone and I waited quite awhile for someone to come assist me. I was given a nice table, prompt server, and I ordered the prime rib, French onion soup and baked potato. They arrived quickly, hot and well prepared. Of course the soup was excellent as was the potato...but let me tell you that the prime rib was remarkable...excellent seasoning and cooked perfectly. Give them a try, you will be amazed. read more

The food was literally so bad. Anything fried was terrible. It wasn't packed and the food took forever to come out. The servers uniforms looked dirty and the plates/serveware were dirty. There were multiple empty tables when we got there and the host insisted on cleaning a different table for us and proceeded to have a conversation with her other co-workers instead of helping us when the restaurant was empty. We chose to come here with my parents who flew in from out of town. Had never been to this location but enjoyed other locations. Our waiter was very inattentive. He would disappear for large amounts of time. We ordered our drinks and appetizers but then had to wait close to 40 minutes after being there to order our entrees. My mom had ordered an additional drink and had to remind the waiter to go get it from the bar. Once she received it she could tell it had been sitting a while as the ice had started to melt. We were there on a busy Saturday night, so we understood that things took a little longer, but it also seemed to impact the quality of the food. The Bloomin' Onion appetizer was even more greasy than normal, and left a puddle underneath it; likely from the cooking oil not being maintained at optimum temperature. I ordered a 6 oz. filet mignon (requested medium) with fries and broccoli. The fries and broccoli were fine, but the steak was exceptionally charred on one side (borderline burnt), and it was cooked to medium well. Luckily, you can get away with that with a tender cut like a filet. Overall, it was okay. I might come back again if in the Keizer area, but it won't be my first choice. read more

Left and went across the street to Hops and Drops who had a hostess at the door seat us right away immediately followed by wait staff getting our drink orders. I was there a couple weeks ago and had amazing service! My family was visiting from California to meet their new grandson. I believe our waitress name was Amarie? Sorry if thats wrong. But she brought ENERGYY to the table. Absolutely loved her. Another gentleman in burgundy shirt heard how much I liked the chimichurri since I asked for extra and mentioned a way he liked to eat it with pasta. Service here at Keiser location sux... I am very frustrated thinking it might not be as bad as the last time I was here. I was mistaken, I thought sitting in the bar area, I might get better svc bc there's not so many ppl. 1st, it took 6min to be greeted amd another 3min for water and Dr.Pepper, 2nd, another 7min for the waitress to comeback and take our order..... I was very specific and to the point on my order. 2 other couple that ordered AFTER us had gotten their appetizers while my GF and I were still waiting..... The bar area stated to fill up and still no soup or salad, I couldn't even get a refill on my soda in a timely manner. Finally my GF went and talked to someone and that someone talked to someone else... apparently a manager came out and informed us that our order ticked had fallen and they didn't know. Instead of comping us a meal or both, he said he would tell the kitchen to cook the food only for us to wait ANOTHER 15-20 min..... Not sure I will ever go there again. The bartender is slow as molasses in the winter, and the barback or waitstaff are not very professional either... I guess if ur 16,inexperienced, and need a job, Outback Steakhouse might hire you. Took some friends to the Keizer Station Outback Steakhouse. Service was ek, it was a Saturday night and they weren't screaming busy but decent. I had steak and shrimp. Steak was TOUGH, broccoli was just a little overcooked, the 4 shrimp was cooked to perfection, but a lot of butter made them messy to eat, potato was fabulous. I kindly mentioned this to my server and asked for asparagus instead so as to not hassle them anymore. After 20 minutes I finally received my meal. Mashed potatoes? Cold in the center. Asparagus? Mushy and nasty. Steak? Cooked well done.. Shrimp? Burnt. I kindly mentioned all of this to my server. She was nice and had my order remade. How did it come back? EXACTLY THE SAME. I mentioned it again, and they finally remade my steak medium rare, however they left everything the same. I ordered two drinks while waiting for my food. After I received the horribly cooked food I was informed by TIM the manager thatI couldn't order anymore drinks. Even after I paid my tab and tipped them 15% in cash. Went to Outback last night. Haven't been for many years but at a different location. My prior experience at this chain was hit and Miss and then became Miss after miss. Last night's service made up for all those misses. Very attentive and friendly staff who worked as a team to ensure food was delivered hot and didn't sit in the window while my server attended other guests. A little spendy but hey, anymore, who isn't. Meals were in the $20+ range. Burger was prepared and delivered to my grandson's specifications. Barely any pink (a good thing) in the middle. Very generous portion of fries. Granddaughter and I got the Alice Chicken. It was a good size breast, very moist and seasoned. The cheese, bacon and glaze were well proportioned to the meat. The bacon was nicely cooked so I didn't have to deal with flabby fat! Chowder was thick and creamy. The cup is closer to a bowl portion you get at other places. My salad may have been close to a pull date as there was some definite dehydration wilt to some of the lettuce but made without cucumbers as requested. Seated quickly, good thing during the COVID pandemic. Our order was taken quickly. That's where the good experience stopped. We received our bread which at most Outbacks is amazing. Not here, it was cold and almost thrown at us. Next, the side salad to my husband. All I can say is bagged salad is better Hahaha. My steak was cooked to my expectations. The waitress barked out to us,"How is everything?". No one wanted to say anything to her at that point. So we answered quickly that everything was,"fine". His steak was EXTREMELY under cooked. Great food. Horrible service. I dread having to leave horrible reviews but the service tonight was trash. I came to have a nice dinner with my 4 children and husband, everything went great up until it was time to pay for our food. For context, we've got 4 under 7 so going out to eat is a task and routine for us. When we are done eating, one of us takes the crew to the car while the other cleans up after ourselves and pays the check. Today while doing exactly that our server would not stop hovering. I don't know if this place has had dine and dash problems but that's what her energy was saying. The moment my husband stood up to take our children to the car, she comes and asks if we're going to pay. I smile and say yea. My crew is gone and I'm PACKING our left overs. She comes over and teaches me how to do the kiosk, ma'am it's 2023 these things are everywhere. I've still got food on plates to be packed up and she does this. After I'm all packed up, I'm picking up crayons, trash, napkins and silverware that fall under the table when you have young kids and she comes over again. I sternly tell her, "thank you. I am going to pay I'm almost finished." I clean up and leave cash with a 25% tip ($28). I'm already out of the restaurant at this point and she runs after me. "Ma'am for some reason your card didn't go through." At this point I'm feeling the vibes and I'm pissed off so I tell her again that cash was left on the table. I'm not sure if this is how she treats every family with young kids or if it was just us, but it's a very disgusting show of character. I don't want to say that she was judging based off of looks or anything like that and I am still giving her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she's had customers walk out without paying. Had lunch here today at 2:00PM with some friends. Place was pretty empty. Sadly this visit didn't go very well compared to many other times. We eat here a lot. Most all on the server and a little on the kitchen. We arrived first and told him that we will need two separate checks before our friends arrived. We ordered a ice tea and a soda. Server brings us ice tea and water. We mentioned the soda, he apologized and said he would get it. He forgot. Second time I reminded him I also asked for a spoon to stir my tea. Got the soda, no spoon. Just used a straw. Friends arrive and we all order. Thier drinks come. We start to become concerned because a lot have time has passed with no salads or soup delivered. Three salads get delivered, but no soup. Less than one minute after getting our salads another Server brings us our entrees. I expressed my displeasure to him about the poor space timing. I explained that we just got our salads and my friend hasn't even gotten his potato soup. He retrieves the soup. We now have a full table. Everything was good except the potato soup. Cheese on top was melted, but the soup wasn't hot. Likely sat under a heat lamp for a while. Tried the ground steak. Asked cooked medium, but was well done. Just ate it. Server asked, two checks or one. Said two as we did earlier. It wasn't busy, but he couldn't remember a lot of things. Gave my rewards number to the Server. Never got put in. Luckily I saved the receipt, but it takes 24 hours before you can get the points added. I feel for Servers, ours wasn't that good. Left 15% tip. Usually tip 20/25%. If somebody reads reviews there, please fix your soap dispensers in both bathrooms. They squirt out such a tiny amount of soap, you have to wand your hand under it at least four times to get an adequate amount. Hope the employees do. read more
