Our strings 4 you are absolutely amazing! I hired the string quartet to play at my mothers funeral. When I spoke to Regina, my mind was all over the place. I had a huge funeral to plan and I was hurting so badly I didn't have the correct mindset but Regina just understood what I wanted. They are very professional, they were very puntual and flexible and best of all they play absolutely amazing!!! I will be hiring them for every special celebration. I highly, highly recommend our strings 4 you!

Look no further...seriously. We hired Regina and her wonderful trio for our wedding. Every one of our guest loved their performance and always brings up how great they were. They are very professional and pricing is great! Thank you for making our special day perfect.

I want to thank Regina and Our Strings 4 You for the heartwarming violinist and cellist performance at my father's memorial service. My father loved to sing, and we wanted to honor him by playing some of his favorite songs at the funeral. Regina and her staff are pure professionals. They incorporated my father's favorite songs into the duet performance just a few days before the service. Regina is prompt to respond to email questions any time of the day and very flexible about what you want to happen. I was amazed at how the pastor and musicians flowed during the program. I was worried because we were all grieving at the time, and our instructions were very vague. In summary, Our Strings 4 You made my father's memorial service special. They played so beautifully and made everyone feel my father's joy in life.

Fabulous music that set just the right tone for our luncheon for 50 members of the the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts. Marvelous musicians. We loved the Cold Play and Aerosmith songs!

Our wedding plans changed drastically due to Covid-19, just like every other couple in 2020. We did decide to have an extremely intimate micro-wedding in my parents' back yard. OurStrings4You was referred to me through my cousin who had worked with them in the past. The best decision I made was to work with OurStrings4You for our special day. Regina was extremely helpful, responsive, honest, and overall wonderful throughout the process. We decided to go with a string duet and they performed for our ceremony, dinner, and our first dance as husband and wife. They were incredible and my family loved this romantic touch. They had so many song options to choose from and Regina helped with all of my questions along the way.

Regina had great communication and a decent list of music to choose from with the instruments we chose.

What a little gem in Uptown Whittier!…read more Parking is a breeze even though there is a little bit of a walk, but there is plenty and it is free. Snacks and drinks are available to purchase; wine, beer, cheese/crackers, candy, chips, water. Bathrooms are plenty and clean. But let's get to the auditorium, shall we??? It's so adorable and fancy! The architecture in this place is beautiful, although kinda funky too with it's bright colors. The first time I walked in, I literally was amazed. It feels like a "big league" playhouse, yet it is small and quaint at the same time. Seats are very comfortable with legroom and not a lot of "pardon me, 'scuse me" issues since it is laid out with short rows. I've literally sat in the vey back row of the main level and was able to see and hear perfectly! Kudos for the acoustics. The temperature in the auditorium is also comfortable; not too hot, not too cold. A wide variety of performers at the Shannon Center! Plays, musicals, entertainers, all music genres! Check out the Hawaiian series too. Need something artsy and entertaining to do? Check out their website and see all the upcoming acts.... you may just have your next date planned! Wonderful job Whittier College! Shannon Center is only list of places to "go to" when looking for something to do. CHEERS!

Came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon to catch the Whittier College Department of Theatre's…read moreproduction of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and was more than pleasantly pleased by both the venue and the comedic performances. While, yes, I am a biased and proud aunt of the female lead, I was still able to cast my biases aside and review the venue as a whole. That said, my niece rules, my niece rules,my niece rules. First off, the parking was super convenient, free, and located on the same lot and block as the theatre. The ticket prices were fair, as they went for $15 bucks a pop. Not too shabby for 2 hours of live entertainment all while supporting the college theatre department. The theatre was on the larger end of the small side. I'm not too sure if there's a larger stage, but the one that we were in seemed to suit the play nicely. I enjoyed that aspect because I really got to appreciate the nuances of each performance, attention to detail, and engage in the communal aspect of being part of a live audience. Good stuff. Oh yeah, the restrooms were also pretty big. On the downside, I wish there would've been more variety at the snack bar during intermission. Not a big deal. Go eat after the performance at one of the many local restaurants nearby. Also, the seats were padded chairs, so be sure to shift your position after some time. Overall, loved it! It's a shame I hadn't attended any previous productions, but rest assured that I'll be returning for more. Support the kids, support the arts!

Alohi's is ran mostly by a close knit, family-like group of people. There are several dance instructors for various styles of dancing, including Polynesian, jazz, hip hop, and Zumba. The instructors are kind and friendly, and class availability is offered six times a week. They perform all around OC and LA, including at many charity events. The studio itself has plentiful space to dance, and sufficient seating to watch your kids/significant other/whatever. If all the couches happen to be full, then there's more of an excuse to join in the dancing! Every single student (dancers/performers) I've become acquainted with have been kind and friendly. There is virtually no drama, and the aura is quite passive. The instructors stress perfection and may come across as strict at times, but that's normal for any passionate teacher. Having no basis for comparison, Alohi's isn't perfect; no person is; no studio is. However I do believe this is a fantastic environment to be in to learn/improve on whatever dance you're interested in. I really enjoy being surrounded by the people encompassing this studio, and I encourage whoever is reading this to cultivate their curiosity by stopping by this studio. I don't think you'll regret it!
