Fox Run Automotive does have great mechanics. What surprised me, however, was receiving a large…read morediagnostic charge on top of the repair costs for work that was done at their shop. They ultimately chose the wrong part for my vehicle, which resulted in me being charged even more for them to install another part. This additional part and the cost to install it were never discussed with me before they made the decision to proceed. Thankfully, they did not charge me more money for the part that they chose. I should have taken advice to take my car first to an auto parts stores like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, who will scan your "Check Engine" light for free and print out the diagnostic fault code (e.g., P0300). Bring that code to the dealership so you aren't paying $200 just for them to plug in an OBD-II scanner. For this reason, I will not bring my car back to the shop again.

Took my vehicle in for service for an AC repair. We where quoted a price to make the repair which…read morewas agreed upon. The owner called me and told me the vehicle was ready. When I picked it up the very next day, it was NOT blowing cold air. I went back in the store (even before leaving the lot) and the presumed Owner/Manager said one of the hoses was leaking. He said it would be another $380.00 to fix the AC (a new hose) in addtion to the money that I had already paid for the initial AC repair!! We spoke with the Owner/Manager who admitted that the lines were working yesterday but, for some reason where leaking today. To reitterate, I hadn't even drove it off the premises when I realized the AC was blowing HOT AIR. We felt very mislead by the whole situation. The owner neglated to take any responsibilty for what happened. It is the responsiblity of the Owner/Mechanic to make an accurate diagnosis and if they make a mistake in that diagnosis, simply take responsibility and make right on the situation. A sincere mechanic would not have treated a consumer this way by taking them down a rabbit hole for a service that failed. This garage took our money without providing the service that we requested. They promised to repair the AC which we paid for then, asked for another $380.00 to actually make the repair. VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY!!

No excuse for not returning a call. In my opinion no excuse for not having a live person answer the phone. Ridiculous to have to drive there to get an answer on status of repair.

An employee said the manager was with a customer and he would call me when he was free. I explained the situation to this employee and 4 days later no response. The price difference does not justify driving to the store for a price correction. I guess they figure if we ignore the problems they will go away.

We were traveling from out of state to a wedding in Virginia when the engine conked out in the…read moremiddle of heavy traffic on I-95. What good fortune we had to find Kevin at Columba Auto Repair on Yelp! It was 3pm on a very hot Friday afternoon. When we called, he said he'd take a look at it. The car started back up but was only moving at a slow pace. The diagnostic test said it was the timing belt and sensor. Kevin advised having the water pump replaced at the same time as the engine had to be pulled out for each (which typically fail at the same time.) Rather than having us stranded for several hours, he offered us a loaner car so we could get to our destination and return it after the wedding upon our return home!! What an angel! He fixed the car and it has been working beautifully. The bill was very fair-no price gouging for a couple in a dire situation. We were so glad he was willing to get the job done. Others may have said "We're closed for the weekend and we'll work on it Monday." If we were closer, we'd use Kevin as our mechanic every time. A man you can trust!
