We did both our complimentary engagement session and our wedding photos with him, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience or the results. Because Daniel knows our venue so well, he immediately guided us to the best locations and lighting for our family portraits and couples' shots. He was professional, kind, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. We're usually people who shy away from the camera, but he had this incredible ability to put us at ease and even make the process fun. He also went above and beyond--offering to come to our after-party to capture a few extra moments. Daniel worked seamlessly with all of our other vendors, which helped the entire day run smoothly. He was always prompt and thoughtful in his communication and even shared helpful vendor recommendations and last-minute wedding day tips. He managed to capture every major moment as well as the small, meaningful ones in a way that felt natural and true to the essence of our day. We absolutely adore our photos, and Daniel is a huge reason why our wedding day felt so special.

He was professional, kind, and so easy to be around, which made me completely trust him before we even started planning our own wedding. From the beginning, he was easy to communicate with and made the entire process stress-free. On our wedding day, he blended in so naturally that we hardly noticed the cameras, yet he somehow captured every meaningful moment. He worked seamlessly with our photographer, and everything felt effortless. The day after our wedding, he sent us a teaser reel, and we were absolutely blown away. It perfectly captured the emotion, energy, and joy of the day. We've already watched it countless times and can't wait to see the full film. If you're debating whether to hire a videographer, do it--and hire EJ. Photos help you remember your wedding day, but video lets you hear the laughter, relive the vows, and feel those moments all over again. They collaborated so well with our photographer and even took some pictures on their phones the day of. EJ sent them to me and I was so surprised at how sweet that was and how wonderful the iPhone pictures were. EJ and Thomas made sure to capture the entire day and to get key elements that were most important to us. We truly enjoyed spending time with them! They made us feel comfortable and were great at directing us as well as being able to hide in the background when needed. Both of them showed us throughout the process that they cared and wanted to make us happy. When we received the highlight video, we were blown away! My husband was apprehensive about hiring a videographer but I convinced him to do it as I really wanted to have those memories. After watching the highlight video, he was so happy we hired Reel Motions. They picked one of the songs we liked and it flowed perfectly with the video. They captured everything we wanted and more! I've watched it so many times and each time I love it more. Everyone we've shown it to is amazed at how beautiful it came out and how professional it looks. The video quality is top notch as well as the editing. I'm grateful for them taking the time to make this special for us. They even scheduled a call with us while they were working on it to confirm a few details. Later on we received the footage from the day which included another four videos (getting ready, wedding ceremony, speeches, and friends and family). Not only did they put two of the videos to music but they also made them into edited videos that are fun to watch. They captured moments that I didn't even remember and/or didn't notice that they were recording. The ceremony music sounded great and the mics they put on my husband and our officiant blended in pretty well and captured the voices well. We 100% recommend Reel Motions to anyone who wants a videographer to capture special memories. We would use them again in a heartbeat! On top of all this, their prices are more than fair and I can't imagine anyone being dissatisfied with them! EJ and Thomas are top notch all around!

He had a real eye for the in-between moments -- the ones you don't plan for and often don't even notice happening in real time. Looking back at the gallery, those are the shots that hit the hardest: genuine laughter, quiet glances, little details we would've completely forgotten otherwise. He was easy to work with -- low-key and unobtrusive during the day, never made us feel like we were "performing" for the camera, which made everything feel more natural an kept it authentic. The turnaround and final edits were excellent, and every photo felt true to how the day actually looked and felt. Kevin photographed my wedding last month and was truly a great find. Most of the photographers we…read morefound on Zola were way over our budget or not quite the style we were looking for. We were fortunate that we found Kevin through our coordinator. Kevin is VERY easygoing and down to earth. He is also clearly experienced and keeps things pretty casual while shooting, which makes photos a little more bearable for people who really can't stand taking photos such as myself. I was also super annoyed/snapping at my now husband pretty much up until the ceremony (there was a lot going on, I promise I'm usually nice to him) but Kevin somehow made me look not as angry as I actually was in the photos, so that's a win! A major standout was when things immediately after the ceremony did not go as planned, and the order of events we had discussed with another vendor did not go as we expected. My husband and I were definitely not thrilled, and our coordinator was prepping for our reception so she was not there at that moment. Kevin took control of the situation to try to make things go the way we had originally hoped they would go, which involved herding people he obviously didn't know. He definitely went above and beyond there, and my guests definitely noticed. I agree with the review about Kevin being a mind reader- he has very good emotional intelligence and is somehow everywhere. My officiant was wearing a Snoopy pin which I was freaking out about because I love Snoopy, and somehow he was there at that moment and got a closeup of it. My coworkers and I all took a shot together, and out of nowhere he showed up and started taking pictures. There was also a moment my uncle "stole" a slice of pizza from my one year old nephew that my family couldn't stop talking about, and Kevin managed to capture the moments before and after the "theft". No one even realized that he had taken those photos until I sent them the pictures. There's a reason (or rather, many reasons) Kevin has all five star reviews! Book him!

I am BAFFLED as to why anyone would give him a low rating!!! From the very start we were impressed with him. He was kind enough to meet with us at our home and was very attentive when we told him what we wanted. We were both so impressed by his portfolio! One of the reasons we went with John is because it is so clear that he loves his work and is very passionate about it. I had gained some weight before the wedding and was really nervous about seeing our pictures. When John finally showed us our proofs I just about DIED (in a good way)!!! We absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED our pictures! Apparently so did the people at The Knot magazine because our wedding photos were PUBLISHED! We were completely impressed with John. His website will show that his pictures speak for themselves. We love his photo-journalistic approach because the last thing we wanted was the typical "okay everyone line up in a straight line and say CHEEEZ" photos. We had many formal shots of the bride, groom, bridal party and family. We loved all the pictures of our guests (not an easy task with almost 500 of them). Every picture in focus - every picture gorgeous! I have recommended John to so many friends and they are all just as happy as we are. Again, I believe his work is phenomenal and will be recommending him to many many more people in the future! With all due respect, I have to completely disagree with Julie L.
