Leading up to our wedding day she was very communicative and laid out a clear plan of when we would meet at City Hall, as well as where we would take our photos around the city. She was open to our ideas and flexible in building the optimal photo shoot for the time we had. On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly. Simone was great with us as well as our friends and family, corralling us and ensuring that she captured emotional and authentic moments. On a side note, because she is so familiar with city hall she was able to give us tips of what to request for our ceremony and get the most out of our time in the government building. We had so much fun on our shoot around the city with Simone! Other reviewers have mentioned it, but her general demeanor and laughter is contagious and she kept our energy levels up with her good energy. She made us feel so special and comfortable which led to beautiful, emotional photos. Simone delivered the photos in a timely manner and gave full access to download our photos on our hard drive. We are still enjoying the process of reviewing our photos for an album because there are so many photos to choose from and remembering our special day. To sum up, we whole-heartedly recommend Simone as THE photographer to capture your special life events.

I actually found Jennifer after searching online for photographers in San Francisco and her work immediately stood out. Her style felt fresh and unconventional -- more documentary and journalistic than traditional -- and I especially loved her use of black and white photography, which was a big reason we chose her. The day started at our hotel, where she jumped between our separate rooms to capture my wife and me getting ready. Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. The moment was absolutely incredible, and she handled everything; we didn't have to do a thing but follow her lead. That professional confidence continued at City Hall. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. As a photographer myself, I really appreciated her confidence and professionalism. All we had to do was follow instructions and be present. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. The technical skill here is top-notch-- the compositions were beautiful, the balance of each frame was spot-on, and her gorgeous color grading. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive. When we received the final package, we were so touched -- she sent our photos on a beautiful USB drive along with printed images, some sweets, and other thoughtful details. It was the perfect finishing touch to a genuinely wonderful experience. If you're getting married at City Hall -- or anywhere in San Francisco -- Jennifer Michelson / A Girl and a Camera is exceptional. Thank you Jennifer! Laura and Junior.

Needless to say, I was in shambles and when I reached out to Mirthica, I half expected her to tell me it was too last minute. Fortunately, she not only listened to our story with empathy and sharing her own story, she also made the whole process super easy and fun. She was communicative the entire time up until the shoot. She had given me her advice on the outfits that both Chewie and I were picking out. She worked with me to change the times (since it was the heatwave and there's no way we coulda survived taken pics in the afternoon). During the shoot, she taught us how to pose, was gentle with Chewie, was very patient, was super fun/easy to get along with, and did everything in her power to get us the best pics (we broke a few rules here and there lol). After the shoot, she sent me a couple of sneak peeks which was so nice! I just got my pics back this afternoon and we are literally gushing over them with our families.
