I've been going to Columbia Medical Practice for many years. When my Primary Care Physician left…read morethis practice, I decided to connect with Dr Yewande Olasimbo and am soo happy that I did choose her, out of all the Dr's at that location. Dr Yewande Olasimbo has a very attentive bedside manner and is very personable. She also goes by Dr Wendy for short. Yesterday I came in for my annual wellness blood work. I am also on Medicaire which does not pay for any Preventative lab work. Dr Wendy went above and beyond to find which lab work that Medicaire will cover without a cost to me. I mean she researched my prior lab chart, made phone calls to the head medical provider to make sure there would be no cost to me. Now last year I saw a different Physician for the same annual wellness lab work. I also told that physician I had Medicaire; in which she told me all would be covered. To my surprise Medicaire did not cover any cost; inwhich I was billed $893 that I had to pay out of pocket. I was sooo upset! Dr Yewende Olasimbo gave me the confidence and reassurance that she is not just about her job, but has a genuine interest in her patients (which I find rare in most Dr's I have encountered. Dr Yewende (Wendy), you are the best! I am sooo glad I choose you as my Primary Care Physician. Continue to shine with your expertise and wonderful personality.

But, this is not what caused me to write this review... Today, Oct. 26, 2026, when I was waiting for my appointment at about 3:40pm, a nurse woman was arguing with an IT man. I think he was IT based on the conversation, but I didn't see him. They were both unprofessional and both escalated what could have been a normal conversation into an argument for all the patients to hear. This is how the exchange went: She said her computer doesn't connect to all the printers and asked if he can connect her computer to the printers. He said that it should be connected already. Then she got mad. She said well it isn't. He said that the codes are written on the printers to connect to. She said, "You want me to walk around the whole building and try to connect to it?" Then she walked away as he started to respond. Then he got mad. He said something along the lines of you don't want help? Fine walk away! And she got more mad and said in a petty voice "I got things to do I'm really busy." Then I heard a sort of slam in the man's direction. It seems like she was trying to boss him around, and he wasn't allowing it and they both let anger control how they behaved. It was jarring to see this as a patient. I did not feel safe in that moment. I hope the practice takes this seriously; there were 3-4 patients in the waiting room and a receptionist at the desk, all there to witness it.

Dr. Sivieri is probably unlike any doctor you've ever been treated by. Adjectives like…read more'alternative' or 'homeopathic' makes this biological approach to health and wellness sound like voodoo. By health & wellness, I'm not talking about the stuff you read about or see on the Today Show, an assortment of trending health info, not incorrect, but out of context. The approaches he uses are very specifically individualized. How does he develop an 'individualized' plan or solution you ask? In conjunction with your intake appt, a variety of labwork testing things like food & environmental allergies, candida, immune system response, brain chemistry/hormones, genetics, etc. The various lab testing can reveal a lot about your specific biology. Intolerance to gluten (wheat), caseine (dairy), candida (yeast overgrown), genetic markers (MTHFR), immune system response (chronic infections and autoimmune diseases), hormones (anxiety/depression, ADHD). It's a starting point, quick measure for obvious problems. NO DOCTOR has EVER requested extensive labwork for me. No psychiatrist EVER requested extensive labwork for my son before prescribing an assortment of Rx for ADHD. The protocol used by the medical community is generally... treat the symptoms with an Rx... if it gets real bad, surgery or some other invasive method. The science behind some of the issues you may discover in talking with Dr. Sivieri and researching yourself is well documented. Methylation, MTHFR, gut chemistry, candida, generaliized auto-immune disorders like Alzheimers, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Autism, etc. is very specialized. With a little research and guidance, it's likely to completely transform your understanding of the many factors at play in general health as well as treatment protocols. The science and documentation is out there with some fields of research leading the way, connecting the dots, finding commonality in auto-immune disorders. It just takes a long time for the science to be adopted in mainstream medical practice. Sometimes doctors can be the most ignorant and dismissive people. I could talk circles around them on medical topics they should have some knowledge, but seem to have never heard of. All of which I learned in 6 months of casual research. I'm sure most people see Dr. Sivieri because they have a problem. They've probably seen many doctors and specialists, taken many prescriptions in an attempt to deal with some serious health issue. The root cause of your health issue can be elusive, but it's likely something not easily or permanently addressed by pharmaceuticals. Understand that Dr. Sivieri does prescribe them, but his determination in addressing the root cause is what is missing in medical practice today. I have appointments only infrequently, but communicate through a patient portal, which he answers typically every morning between 6-7 a.m. I've never had that level of access to a doctor of ANY kind. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who has a good protocol for labwork, capable of interpreting the results, treating the patient and working diligently to address the root causes and factors affecting your health.
