My dishwasher died! This was a cataclysmic event on par with the apocalypse! I don't do dishes…read more That's why we invented dishwashers, so I called these fine folks. Here is what transpired- Monday morning- A very nice guy arrived to diagnose the problem. In short order he said that my pump was deceased. He said the end was quick and there was very little pain. He also said he could recommend cremation or interment services, but the trash might be best, so I went with it. As I was drying my tears, he said I would receive a call that afternoon regarding next steps and off he went. Monday afternoon- Another very nice guy called me and opened by saying he was sorry for my loss. He detailed the cost of a new pump and said it needed to be ordered. I went with it. Tuesday- Nice guy #2 called back and said my new pump was in. Holy s**t that was fast! We arranged for the install the next day! Wednesday morning- Nice guy #1 showed up again and had the new pump installed and tested in a little over an hour. The price was as quoted and very fair and off he went. Wednesday afternoon- I grabbed a few dirty dishes and did a test run. The result was perfection! It's service like this that earns them five stars and my loyalty.

I was so pleased I felt like doing a naked Happy Dance around my condo! Fortunately, I regained my…read moresenses and saved my neighbors the shock! I've used these guys for years for routine stuff, but the real test of an AC Company is do they step-up-to-the-plate when you have a problem. They had their chance a few days ago as I had my first problem. Responsiveness- I went down early on a Sunday evening when it was 90+ outside. Not good! I delayed contacting them until Monday morning as not many folks want to pay increased weekend rates! On Monday, I contacted them around 10:30 and received a 3-5 time slot. Two guys arrived about 3:15. To me, that's an awesome response during the summer! Workmanship- They quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor. They had it replaced, and they were gone within an hour for $175! It could have been much much worse hence the Happy Dance! It's this kind of performance that will keep a customer like me coming back!

I've had Long's AC out on a few different occasions, and none of the repairs were inexpensive by…read moreany means. One of the more recent repair recommendations was close to $1,800, which made me pause. I decided to get a second opinion, and was offered a much simpler solution--adding a second cold air return--which resolved the issue and actually improved system efficiency for around $400 total. My takeaway isn't just about Long's, but HVAC work in general. Always get two to three bids, especially for air conditioning. I've had multiple companies work on the same house, and it still wasn't running correctly until a simpler, more experienced solution was applied. You don't want inexperienced technicians guessing or experimenting on your system. You want someone knowledgeable who's been doing this work for a long time. Ask questions, challenge repair recommendations, and require that they put it in writing that they've correctly diagnosed the issue and that the repair will fix the problem. There's no reason you can't ask for that before approving the work.

I needed a new dishwasher installed so they recommended theses folks. I trust them so I went with it! A very nice gentleman showed up ten minutes early for my appointment. His prearranged fee was $100 and that was just fine. I ran a quick test with just a couple of dishes and the result was perfection, so I was a happy camper! I couldn't have asked for more so five stars it is!

I used these folks back in 2019, had a great experience, so decided to try them again. I'm so glad I did! I had a small electrical job that was beyond me. It wasn't a high priority, but it needed to be done. Here is what happened. Front-of-the House- I was touched by two very nice women. I could feel their great attitude over the phone. I could even sense their smile. I waited for ten days for an appointment because it was low priority and that was no problem. Service- Two great guys showed up. They were running a little behind but that was no problem because I was kept informed. They were friendly and competent and got the job done in under an hour. They cleaned up beautifully. They went out of their way to answer all my questions and make sure I was satisfied. The price was very fair as expected.
