I got to know them about 3 years ago as a restaurant offering great Gluten-free options, but now they also offer VEGAN options! Yahooooooo! So had for the first time ever an amazing mediterranean gluten free vegan pizza (greek one). And was quite good! Food and service good. What is unacceptable is taking reservations for about 75 people for Saturday lunch and doors open at noon. They could open 30 minutes before in order that people have to wait at the door especially when your customer base is mainly seniors and some handicapped. read more

Can't comment on food we were never served. Restaurant was not busy, but our waitress was busy with a big group. Asked a waiter to take our order, he told us we had to wait. Not impressed we left never to go back. Was planning a company outing of 30 people. Guess we will be going elsewhere read more

Went out as a family gathering, there were 11 of us. Service was decent while we were waiting for the rest of our family to join us but was hard to get service after we had ordered our meals. My cousin asked for a little thing of ketchup for my uncle and it took 20 minutes to arrive. It arrived after they had taken away the plate it was needed for. Service was a 4/10 but it was a busy night. Food was overpriced and ok at best. I ordered the classic pasta with linguine and Alfredo sauce which for $20. Pasta was chewy, but the sauce was ok. I expected to get a little more for that price other than just pasta and sauce but I suppose it was ok. My sister, who is celiac, who we told staff was celiac, had a poutine and was sick about an hour later. She hadn't eaten early and there was no way this 'glutening' had come from anywhere else. The menu promoted itself as a gluten-free safe spot and assured us that her meal would be prepared with upmost safety in mind. She had ordered from the gluten free section of the menu, and still fell sick as a result of it. My cousin and I ordered a $8 garlic bread that resembled a pizza and it was okay. Overall, bad experience and would not recommended coming here, especially to any fellow celiacs! Also, my dad got food poisoning from this sort of salmon tartar. He was throwing up the whole night. Last Sunday, I was spoiled and was brought to the Restaurant Ottavio in St Laurent for dinner. It was delicious. We went on a Sunday night so it was pretty quiet when we first arrived. Later on during the night, it seemed to get quite full... of children with their parents. (We found out later on that children eat for free on Sunday nights). For starters we got the Garlic Bread Gratiné and my date was right- it IS the best cheesy garlic bread I've ever had. For the main meal, he had Linguine duck cont ...(cream, teriyaki, duck, prosciutto, shallots, sesame seeds) and I had Angel hair four tomatoes ... (tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, bruschetta, bocconcini). Oh my gosh, was it good. The atmosphere was very comfortable and we were comfortable being a bit dressed up (it was our first official date- very, very nice). You can make reservations online and they have three locations: Laval, St Laurent and St Léonard. It IS bring your own wine & beer so keep that in mind! Went there at lunch time and had their 13$ make-your-own pasta special. In all honesty, the pasta was just average but then for 13$ you wouldn't expect much, really. The real deal was definitely their all-you-can-eat mussels promo that is currently going on from Monday to Wednesday. I had their "le diable" mussels, which is supposed to be on the spicier side but then, meh, I could use some more spice. If you were to name your mussels style "le diable" I would at least expect it to be just a tad bit spicy. I still kind of liked the tomato taste to it, so it wasn't that big of a deal. All in all, I would say that it's pretty affordable during lunch but I would probably only come back for their mussels. As for the service, it was a bit slow and the waiter barely bothered to come to check up on us and we had to ask several times to get our glasses of water refilled. read more

Restaurant used to be very busy now dead. We always enjoyed this pre Covid. Pizza was horrible. It's was not mozzarella and it made my husband sick as he ate 1/2. Didn't finish it. My mussels were good so was our friends. Soon as we got home we all ran for the bathroom. U fortunately will not return. read more

The food was really good. We had Poulette mussels, some other mustard mussels and the special pizza. The one that changes every month. This month it was figs, pesto, mozzarella, and honey. The service was a but slow but still good. I also had a creme brûlée it was amazing! It's just good Italian food... Nothing amazingly special. I would go back. read more

Always go at lunch time for the special. Pasta is really good. Went to supper one time but was way too expensive and also not the greatest.

Food and service at this branch are within my range of satisfaction. I would say the overall dining experience with my parents and husband was nothing "Wow" but we left a good tip for the service. We wanted the mussel for our starters but they were out of mussel that evening. We will be back one day. read more

I went there thinking it was the same as the one at St Laurent that I went to years ago well let me tell you ..... What a disappointment and moreover the place was filthy including the bathroom, the food sucks honestly but it's not as bad as Atelier Argentine! The server was ok! I'll be honest, I expected to like Ottavio, but I wasn't prepared for how much I would love it. As someone who has been a diagnosed Celiac since 2008, I've found that almost too many restaurants now serve 'gluten free' food, but haven't necessarily trained their staff to know what that means. I often worry at chain restaurants about cross contamination - or worse - that I'm getting entirely the wrong thing. At Ottavio, the back of the menu lists all gluten free items and explains that they've provided a Celiac-friendly menu since 2007 (i.e. Before it was cool). I was immediate more at ease. The server brought me gluten free bread as a starter. It was on the house and - wait for it - served piping hot as opposed to dried out and terrible. My partner (a typical gluten eater who no longer sees bread as a novelty) had originally declined his serving, but after stealing a few bites of mine, he decided he definitely wanted his own bread. I had the granite (or garlic bread with cheese if you're from outside of Montreal) and GF Californian pizza. The crust was good - maybe a little dry, but very satisfying with a ton of goat cheese. Everything came quickly. The portions are big and I left with half a pizza for lunch tomorrow so that we could save room for dessert - crème brule. To top things off, it's BYOW. read more

The food tastes good. I will say, I am VERY picky with noodles/pasta but I always enjoy it at Ottavio. It really does taste like homemade pasta. It's casual dress but the restaurant (Ottavio St. Leonard) itself is quite beautiful however, it's so dark! You can barely see the food on your plate, let alone the people you're with. If you're having a party of some sort & plan to take pictures - just make sure your flash is on the highest option. read more
