I spoke to the owner while she was cooking my food & she was very personable & friendly-I enjoyed our long conversation while waiting on my food. I like that this food truck is a true food truck and now stays mobile, going to breweries & events. They're very good about keeping up with their Facebook page on where they will be & what new foods they've added to the menu. I tried the po boy sandwich which was excellent! We got some breaded wings too in the normal hot sauce & they were really yummy too! We also got some tater tots, which I thought were unique to a menu, but turns out they're just the ones from the freezer section that have been deep fried and sprinkled with a seasoning. Overall, food was really good & so were the portions. I also liked that they put a lot of thought into their menu & the items that change on it, and that they home-make some of their wing sauces. I'm giving this 4/5 because of the disappointing tater tots, and I felt some menu items were a bit overpriced. It also took quite a while to make the food. I would definitely go back again though! :-)

I am so happy that we have a new New Orleans restaurant in town! Oh my gosh! I have only been to…read moreNew Orleans once, so long ago, and the people I was with had us eating Italian. I have wanted Gumbo and Creole food and all the New Orleans goodness, but haven't experienced it in New Orleans. Oh my gosh, I walked in and was greeted by Andreas. (I hope that's how he spells his name.) He was very kind and patient and helpful with me. He pointed out the fun atmosphere inside. I looked at the menu and picked out: World Famous Gumbo over rice, Shrimp PO Boy, and the Sweep the Swamp PO Boy (Oysters, Shrimp, Crawfish, Gator) with Bayou Sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. And I got an order of the Fried Pickles too. YUM! I wasn't sure if my younger son would like his shrimp Po Boy. He loves shrimp, but he can be super picky about things. He wolfed it down. I am not entirely sure he was even hungry. But he ate it all. I ate part of my delicious Sweep the Swamp PO Boy. I am so full, I couldn't even eat 1/2. I will be having the rest of it probably for 2 more meals! So good. Wow. My other son isn't home and will have his Gumbo later. I am 100% positive I will be having a spoonful of that later. I was so happy to see they have the Beignet mix and coffee choices from Cafe du Monde. We just got back from Kona, Hawaii, and have so many bags of Kona coffee, so I didn't buy any of the Cafe du Monde coffee today. But I know I will be buying it in the future! An extra fun thing - Andreas gave me Marci Gras Beads too! Same color as my shirt. I think he picked them out since he knew I must like the color. What fun!!! A nice touch. Also, I needed to use the restroom while I was there, and it was nicely done up & clean. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant and food truck !!!! Go try it! Really good food, DELICIOUS.

There aren't a lot of restaurants to choose from in the area, and I really want to love this place…read morebecause it has so much going for it. It's a cute little firefighter-themed restaurant with decent food at a reasonable price. We usually try to stop at a local restaurant after church, and this place always seems to be busy. This morning, our service ended a little earlier than usual, so we decided to give it another try. The restaurant was only about half full when we arrived, but it still took quite a while for someone to greet us and get our drink orders. The food itself was decent, and I really think this place has potential. My honest opinion is that they may need some extra kitchen staff to help keep up with the orders, especially when they get busy. The wait can take away from what could otherwise be a really enjoyable dining experience. I definitely don't want to discourage anyone from trying it because, like I said, I really want to love this place! I just wouldn't recommend going in if you're in a hurry or expecting a quick meal. Hopefully, with a little more help in the kitchen, the service will catch up with the demand because this little restaurant has a lot of potential!
