The best sushi in Zurich so far! Delicious, fresh fish and very friendly service. If you're pressed for time though, you might not find the experience as enjoyable as they take their time to prepare and serve the food. read more

My buddy and I had the donburi meals, complete with a side of tempura and miso soup. The only caveat to a similar meal back home is that I paired it with a glass of prosecco, but my dining partner did go the traditional route with hot green tea. The restaurant was pretty quiet to the point where I felt I had to whisper when talking, but it could have been because we were early to dinner and the place wasn't filled with customers yet. Once again, good food, but at Zürich prices.

We started with some wine drinks, which were ok but really nothing amazing. The ramen was really tasty, but didn't stand out as one of the best for me. I got the spicy one and it was nowhere close to spicy. The miso ramen had great flavor, but again wasn't anything special. Definitely a solid ramen spot, but I think the food and drinks could use a little something to add to the pizzazz.

I ordered their Shoyu Ramen, originally I wanted to try their tonkatsu ramen but they unfortunately sold out for the day, mind you...I came in 50 minutes before they closed . The brothe was delicious and hearty but it lacked the dense weight a Shoyu ramen should normally have. The chasu was interesting since it's not your traditional Japanese pork but of swiss origin; wasn't bad, just wished it had some more flavor to it. The noodles were any typical ramen noodles you can get a basic ramen shop, I wish they served it in some firm wheat ramen noodles Overall, it was a decent experience. If I'm ever around the area again, I plan to try their tonkatsu ramen as that was my original goal.

I wanted to order the chicken Katsu bento to go thinking it will be made fresh to order but they just told me to pick up something that's already been pre-made. I didn't want to do it coz I wanted At least something freshly made. So the lady suggested chicken ramen. So I ordered it and 2 bottled water it ended up to 21 CHF ($26) . I said to myself, this better be the best bowl of ramen I've ever had in my life. My order literally came out within 5 mins so I went straight back to my hotel room excited to have some ramen. When I opened it, just by look of it, it didn't look like ramen. I took a sip and it was more like soba soup with ramen noodles. So so disappointed!!! And to pay that much it was nothing special. Most expensive bowl of ramen I've tasted and I think top ramen was way better!!

Ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner, though best with a reservation due to its size. Pros: * Fresh, generously portioned sushi -- reviewers rave about "huge fish portions" and delicious, high-quality taste . * Top-notch ramen-- Tonkotsu and Tantanmen are consistently praised, with one reviewer noting the "delicious Tonkotsu & Tantamen Ramen, authentic flavors, carefully prepared fish, and friendly staff" . * Homemade gyoza and sauces--a highlight for many, "Hand made Gyoza. Even the sauce they serve is hand made" . * Warm, attentive service in a small, inviting space . * Great value for the quality, mid-range pricing around CHF30-40 per person . Cons: * Limited seating, as it's a cozy, compact restaurant--better reserve ahead. * Slightly on the pricier side for ramen or gyoza (~CHF10 for 4 pieces), though fans say it's worth it .

We ordered the sashimi mix, the hamachi carpaccio with ponzu, some marinated tofu and sake. We were told that they were out of hamachi so we choose the salmon carpaccio instead. The food was simply disappointing: the salmon carpaccio with shichimi sauce was not sliced thin at all. It looked like salmon sashimi with what looked like a bland black bean sauce. The sauce has not at all the spicy shichimi sauce I was expecting. The sashimi mix was even worse, it was simply sad. It consisted out of 6 slices of tuna and salmon sashimi of very low quality. I swear, I've had better sashimi at the supermarket. In addition, the waitress was rude, she was constantly chatting about on her phone in Mandarin and when we asked for a suggestion of another dish she just shrugged. I asked if they had Yakatori but she seemed to have no clue so we decided to go somewhere else to continue eating. Yes, we went to a second restaurant that evening, unfortunately that was after feeling hugely disappointed by Maki Haus and dropping 90 CHF. Not going again.

We ordered 5 and it was too much for us. We wanted the wagyu but the portion was too large so we did the Omakasa add on. The wagyu with the rice was just OK, it needed salt, but it was a bite so you don't find out until it's too late to ask. Given this, I'm glad we didn't order the large portion of the wagyu. The meatball wagyu from the Omakasa wagyu add on was amazing!! It was probably the best thing we ate! It had a black crust of some kind surrounding the meatball and it came with a tasty cream sauce. The shrimp tempura was tasty but it felt a little over cooked. The Brussels sprouts were amazing, they had a spicy sauce and shaved tuna flakes, and they were my second favorite dish of the night. The sea bass was really good. The salmon sashimi was in large poke type chunks and the sauce was too thick for my liking-it was my least favorite dish. Had the best server, he was really attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. His wine recommendation, the Zinfandel, was great!! Excellent dinner in Zurich!!

I had a WHOLE egg to myself and it was slightly runny which you know a damn fact makes a ramen more wholesome! The other bits of toppings were good as well. My friend order their Miso ramen which I gave a try and I'll say fora fact that it was lacking a bit in what a Miso ramen stands for. There are public bathrooms downstairs that they keep taken care of. As soon as you sit, they have clear separating glasses between tables which feels very sanitary, I love it. The ramen served is very aesthetic. I love the way they write their slogan on the nori. My favorite part is that they give you a bib to wear which was easy to put on.
