This is a really neat restaurant, and the food was great! We were able to get seated right away and the service was nice and friendly. We started with some wine drinks, which were ok but really nothing amazing. The ramen was really tasty, but didn't stand out as one of the best for me. I got the spicy one and it was nowhere close to spicy. The miso ramen had great flavor, but again wasn't anything special. Definitely a solid ramen spot, but I think the food and drinks could use a little something to add to the pizzazz. read more

This was my first Swiss Ramen stop out of the 3 places I've had bookmarked for their ramen. So I was quite excited to give it a try. I ordered their Shoyu Ramen, originally I wanted to try their tonkatsu ramen but they unfortunately sold out for the day, mind you...I came in 50 minutes before they closed . The brothe was delicious and hearty but it lacked the dense weight a Shoyu ramen should normally have. The chasu was interesting since it's not your traditional Japanese pork but of swiss origin; wasn't bad, just wished it had some more flavor to it. The noodles were any typical ramen noodles you can get a basic ramen shop, I wish they served it in some firm wheat ramen noodles Overall, it was a decent experience. If I'm ever around the area again, I plan to try their tonkatsu ramen as that was my original goal. read more

Just okay Japanese ramen...I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and the pork was not very flavorful or tender like it should be. The soup was just ok, no umami flavors to it nor did it taste like it's been cooking for many many hours. Noodles feels a bit like packaged ramen. I haven't tried other ramen places in Zurich yet so it's possible this place is better or worse, I can't say. But definitely don't think it's worth going to for ramen. However, I would love to try their katsu curry or tonkatsu to see if they do better there than their ramen. Also come early for weekday lunch! I went at 12 and it was already packed!!! read more

Finally made it here after reading about it on Ron Orp. It's a small place that is quite busy, so you should definitely make reservations. I would say this is authentic Japanese noodle soup, but at Zürich prices. Dinner for 2 was 80 CHF. And they actually serve Calpice, so this place is definitely authentic! ^.^ read more

I've eaten ramen in so many different restaurants in different countries, and based on my experiences, Ikoo is subpar... The broth for the ramen was tasteless, and my boyfriend's katsu tasted like a brick with too much barbecue sauce on it. It didn't help that the place was completely understaffed on a Friday night with only one waitress for the entire restaurant, inside and outside. I know that it can be hard to find good Asian food in Switzerland, but in my opinion, you're better off going to the Japanese supermarket at Hauptbahnhof and buying a pack of ramen there. read more

If you are looking for Japanese food, but don't want sushi then Ooki is a MUST! Super delicious, yummy, tasty are the only words that come to mind to describe the noodles that are the house specialty. They do of course serve other dishes and appetisers, but I have yet to try anything other than the noodles. Most of the noodles come with meat, but if you are vegetarian you can ask to leave the meat off or if you really love meat you can ask for more meat. You should make a reservation, because it is quite small and usually busy. You usually have to share a table with other noodle heads, but nobody seems to mind since it is about the food and your banter. There is only one person working in the front, so at times you have to wait a bit to get served, but the atmosphere is very chilled out and easy going. Be warned: bring cash, they don't have any card machines, which can be a bit annoying if you forgot or don't have any cash on you. All in all, I love going to to Ooki and recommend it highly. read more

I came here with some friends on a Friday night without having made a prior reservation - they didn't have an immediate place for us, but took down our number and said they'd call us within half an hour - I wasn't sure they would, buuut they did, and I'm so glad we decided to wait to come here! I had originally wanted the Tonkatsu with rice (I believe), but because it was so late in the evening, they were out of rice, so I ended up taking a ramen dish instead (not tonkatsu ramen, though) and did not regret it one bit. The ramen here is AMAZING - everything about it was delicious, from the meat to the broth to the corn. Staff is super great. I'd definitely recommend making reservations if you can, because the place is small. read more

The Tonkatsu Ramen here is really good. I enjoyed every bit of it. The restaurant is a bit small though, so you might struggle with large parties and you might have to seat with other people on your table. Other than that, food is amazing! read more

Really cool small japanese restaurant in K4 ! It is a very small restaurant, but really cosy. It is all japanese food. Not a sushi stuff restaurant but more divers :) The staff is really friendly (and of course real Japanese people). The interior is minimalistic, kinda designish. But not kitschy asian deco. It is actually not a cheap asian place, but the quality of the food is really good. It's actually a good alternative to Lily's ! Try it out, it's worth it !!! read more

3.5 stars. Very cute, cozy and casual place to have Japanese ramen or Donkats (with/without curry). Ramen isn't the best I've had but it was good. It comes with plenty of vegetables. Menu is small but I liked the coziness and briefness of the restaurant. I honestly suggest DonKats more than ramen. Good portion size and quite tasty. I'd say it was average, the egg was overly cooked (yet the yolk was cold), the broth was nothing special and in my opinion the ramen were either old or not cooked for long enough. Had the meat gyoza, the shoyu and the miso ramen for 2 people. We waited 20min on call to get a place because it was full packed on a Saturday evening. The drinks were served pretty fast but the gyoza took a while and again for the ramen we had to wait also longer than expected. Just been here for dinner and it was good ramen. It is a tiny restaurant - bookings only! It is very cozy with like 10 tables but has all you need! They have 5 different ramen with different broths and you can choose from extra toppings. We also had gyozas and edamames for starters. Gyozas were good but nothing special. I had the clear broth with extra veg which was really nice. Service was quick & friendly. Try the Genmai Cha Green Tea with flavours of toasted nice - SO GOOD! Would totally recommend this place and would definitely go again. Zurich needs more places like ikoo!!! :) read more
