Septoplasty: 30+ years of deviated septum fixed!…read more Went to Dr. Walls early last year re: heavy sinus congestion and a deviated septum. Turns out I only was getting 10% air flow through my left nostril from an incident in the early 90's. We tried non-surgical treatments throughout the summer that did not make much of a dent. Opted for septoplasty in early December (I travel for work; needed the holiday season to be able to avoid flying for 3 weeks). Procedure went smoothly. I had heard horror stories about the recovery process. Perhaps because I was anchored on how bad it would be, was very pleasantly surprised. The 5 or so days while the packing and stints were still in place were uncomfortable, but never painful. Sleep was difficult. The hardest thing was halting exercise/activities for 3 weeks afterwards. Just had my 8 week checkup and everything is looking great. Enjoying being able to breathe normally for the first time in my adult life. Thanks Dr. Walls (and your amazing team!). Highly recommended!

The office visits were full of warm welcomes, smiles, and short wait times. Clear at home instructions and next day follow up calls from staff assured me during their recover. Ascentist Healthcare for the win!

I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Stanley McClurg at ENT Associates and my septoplasty…read more& turbinate reduction surgery. He came highly recommended from friends, patients, and medical professionals as one of theist new ENTs in Kansas City. I can be a hard critic of medical care and their surrounding staff. As a physician and practice owner myself, I know full well the level of energy, dedication, and effort it takes to deliver great patient care. Dr. Stanley McClurg is one of the best ENT surgeons in Kansas City. His experience and extensive training as one of the few Rhinologists in Kansas City made him a perfect experienced choice for my surgeon. My quality of life is improved now that I can breathe well, sleep well, and I am thrilled with the outcome of my surgery. It has even stopped my snoring! The experience at the surgical center, with their staff, and anesthesiologists were equally fantastic. The surgical team were on-time, not rushed, and overall, the experience was a good as it gets in the business. I had earlier concerns regarding post-op discomfort, complications, and other issues associated with sinus reconstruction surgery. Dr. McClurg answered all of my questions and I was very confident and assured in his ability to deliver excellent care. I had very little discomfort and now feel amazing. After a couple of days of recovery I had the intranasal splints removed at my first post op exam at 5 days. The recovery was quick and comfortable. I missed a few days of work but could have easily returned the day the splints were removed. Dr. Stanley McClurg is a gifted physician with experience, talent, and good old fashioned caring that is making him a rising star in the KC medical community. My only regret from the experience is that I never got hooked up with Dr. McClurg earlier in my life. We are fortunate to have him in our city and I for one, and beyond grateful for his care. If you are considering seeing an ENT for yourself or family, I would recommend him highly.

I was re-assigned to Katherine Rhoads who is very nice and believe is very competent. Today I had a scheduled follow up appointment with AA. I was called Friday to conform the appointment for 9:00 this morning. I arrived a bit early and was asked for my new insurance card (which I provided). Then I was asked for my Medicare Card (which I am not sure I even have one). I offered to provide my Medicare number but the receptionist said she required my Medicare card. I have been on Medicare for 4 years and have never been asked for this before; not from Associated Audiologists and not from my PCP, Ortho, NKC Hospital, Dentist Neurologist etc.. Now just for the record, Medicare has zero hearing aid benefits - Zero. I am the one paying the bill. So this is the 3rd time I had an appointment from this provider that was not honored. THE THIRD TIME!!!! Very disappointing after spending $4000 on hearing aids.

We can already tell how much better he's able to hear, and they're smaller and easier to clean than what he previously had. Thank you for taking such great care of him. He's not always an easy patient, and I can tell that you all (Katie especially) made his day.
