    * Authentic and classy place * This place serves an amazing Italian cuisine. I loved the ambiance they have created, it's just amazing. We had very nice seating and quick service. The menu was creative. I had one of the best stirred fried veggies here from whole Italy trip. Definitely recommended for someone looking for a meal after Vatican City tour or other spots nearby.

Should you go here? Yes! Worth the wait, make reservations if possible but they also do well trying to make space for walk-ins. Inside and outside dining options on a nice side street. Very busy so give them a little time after sitting. The team working we're friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. Meats and cheese plate is a must. Pair it with the focaccia. All the pastas look good. Great wine list and select desserts. If I could do it all over again, would I go here? Yes

Cool little place I found on a side street. Ordered some fried artichoke, stuffed anchovies, focaccia, lamb and pasta. Lots of locals eating here and very few tourists. Highly recommend.

A wonderful end to our time in Italy. We enjoyed great wine and great food during our dinner here. We had eaten at so many amazing places during the trip and this one was no different. If you're in the area and looking for a place to stop, this is a great option

Our tour guide that day lead us over to this nice place for lunch after our Vatican City Tour. We all had some of their white and red wines which were good. We decided to order pretty much the same thing so it would be easier and faster for our group. They brought out some fresh bread in folded paper bags which I thought was pretty creative idea. Next they brought us some deep fried tempura style battered vegetables which in my opinion were over the top with flavor. Nice to know there is a neat treat like that but it is half way around the world now that I am home in California. Next they brought us some spaghetti in some red sauce and then some large Rigatoni alla Boscaiola in a white sauce. I am not sure really what exactly it was but it was good ... see my photos.... I probably won't be back in my lifetime but I wont forget that day....

Awesome food and service. Pasta Carbonara was excellent and veal with prosciutto was amazing. Deserts were great also.

With a minimum amount of tables able to be dined at inside, if you are able to grab a place, then, by all means, do it. My nephew and I enjoy finding these smaller, fine food establishments and this one did not disappoint. This was to be our last lunch in Roma so we joyfully consumed the very tasty mozzarella and ham and the Bruschetta appetizers and then I had my way with an incredible lasagna, where Il Piccolo did not skimp on the meat (as is done is some restaurants). Great meaty and cheesy flavor with a hint of spinach and some other subtle spices. Pure heaven. My nephew had ravioli which must have been great as he did not speak after receiving his plate. Highly recommended -- to one and all

The staff was friendly and, in the typical way of Rome, didn't rush us at all. We sat and read through our Rick Steves' guide book and just enjoyed a good hour of conversation and taking in the sights and sounds around us. You have to walk past a small gauntlet of eateries with waiters or hosts outside encouraging you to come to their restaurant, as is typical in areas where there are many tourists. When we came upon this Enoteca Piccolo no one was doing that here, and no one did during our entire stay. It was quaint and charming and quickly filled up with other Italian-speaking patrons. Since I've now read other reviews about their good wine selection, I'd like to go back to try that, too.
