First of…read moreall, there is an underground parking garage which is very nice in the winter or inclement weather. The locker rooms are big and usually somewhat clean. The showers are decent and the steam room is solid. I have never had an issue with any of employees and I have found many of them to be pleasant. Listen, X-Sports are not going to be very high end, there is a reason the memberships are so low. With that being said, they are very solid gyms in which you can get a great workout. The equipment here is pretty up to date and there are a lot of different options for strength training. Only real drawback I can think of is that it gets very busy here at night, like most gyms. I would suggest to simply plan around that. Good gym, check it out

Worst part here is the cleanlinest. I don't expect much from gyms as far as being clean but this place is disgusting from the gym itself to the lockeroom and showers. I'm starting to think LA Fitness took over the X-Port locations to run them into the ground and then close them. Nothing like eliminating your competition. LA Fitness really needs to step up and do something with the former X-Port locations I've been to this one and the one on Belmont and Lincoln in Chicago and both seem very run down and dirty.

I cannot say enough good things about Infinite Fitness. When I started going here, I lived only 10…read moreminutes away...now that I moved 45 minutes away, I am still coming here for personal training twice a week. You will not find a better trainer anywhere in the Chicago area! Even if you were just looking for a new gym without personal training in mind, I encourage you to check it out anyway. Seriously. If you never do any other personal training in your life, come here for a few months. They offer 2 free sessions I think. Take advantage of them. You will see. I have been going to Infinite Fitness for about a year and a half. (I had looked into it before then because of the reviews, but didn't go initially because I wasn't really looking for personal training - I should have just tried it anyway!) My boss recommended I make an appointment with Kevin when I was having some low back pain/sciatica, and it was probably the best advice she ever gave me. I had been trying to deal with the pain for over a year, and Kevin was the first person (not doctors, not physical therapists) who actually identified my movement pattern problems and we started correcting them together. I have improved to such an amazing degree that looking back, even I can hardly believe it! If only I had started going to one of the trainers here when I first saw the Yelp reviews, I might have corrected the problems sooner and never had to deal with any back pain at all. The trainers here can personalize your workout perfectly no matter what your fitness level and needs. If you train here, you WILL get stronger, you will move better, you will feel better. I know a lot of people will do personal training because they need motivation in order to work out effectively, but this is so much more than that. You will use what you learn here to keep healthy for your whole life.

I was never told this was going to happen. Not one time. Had I been told, I wouldn't be writing this review. You need to know that whatever promotion they might be running does not absolve you of the fact that you WILL be paying the prescribed monthly amount that same month. IN ADDITION to whatever bullshit "promo" they are featuring. Julio puts on a good act, but what he did here was unethical. And the worst part is that everyone who works here and sells memberships KNOWS they are doing this. They know it's wrong, and they do it anyway. Keep this in mind if you decide to join.

Push Fitness has given my life back, literally. I didn't realize how greatly I was compromising my…read morewellness before working with the team at this outstanding facility. Everyone's guilty of stasis in some aspect of their lives--getting used to how things are and putting up with less than the ideal. For a long time, I assumed that I'd never be able to truly lose the weight I'd gained, lost, and regained over the years. Worse yet, I assumed that getting older had to be accompanied by slowing down, having less energy, and dealing with aching joints and constant soreness. Don't let your life continue at less than its full capacity! At 43, I'm in the best shape I've ever been and continue to improve because of the nutritional counseling, group fitness classes, and personal training sessions offered at this studio. They've taught me the habits, mindsets, and skills to feel, look, and function at my best, for life. The staff treat one another and their clients like family, which--fair warning--means you will be held accountable to the goals that you've set for yourself because they care about you and want the best for you. "Care" can be expressed a lot of different ways, too--don't assume that you won't work well with a personal trainer because you've had a bad experience elsewhere. Whether you want a trainer with drive, calm, kindness, humor... however you'd characterize it, there is someone at Push with the personality and approach that's suited to you. The only people who shouldn't join Push Fitness are the ones who are satisfied on the slow track to fitness which, let's be honest, is a roller coaster at best and, more often, a slow retreat from the results you really want. I've been there--after losing significant amounts of weight four times over the last 16 years and regaining it every time (and then some), I've lost more than 40 pounds since joining Push just three months ago--almost 20% of my total body weight--while gaining muscle mass. This weight loss is different this time because I have the benefits of the Push team's expertise on my side. When you're ready to put in the work it takes to regain and optimize your health, and if you recognize that expert guidance will multiply the outcomes from the time it takes to do the work, join Push. No other investment is ever going to yield better returns than those you put into to your well-being, and their prices are quite reasonable considering the results you'll see in a very short time frame.

This is not the first time that I have worked with Justin - when he was in the "chain style" gyms training clients that is where my journey began. It's been over a year since I have seen him but think it is important to let you all know the following. I was severely overweight and when he was my trainer he taught me not only different workout styles like tabatta, boxing, cardio, strength but he also taught me about the heart rate monitor that I would wear during my workouts. How important it would be to stay in certain zones to target fat burn. I had lost just under 100 lbs under his care and have continued to lose since. He would point out another gym member and say you will get there... his encouragement felt honest and sincere just like it does today when I'm back there working out. I'm glad he reached back out to me so I have the pleasure of being around the trainer that started me on my journey! You won't be disappointed at all and the other clients taking the class are friendly as well, which helps a lot! If I am able to share my before/after photo I will but I can't in this post. The classes seem excellent. pickleball game here looks legit. The staff are friendly and helpful. Locker rooms are secure, fully stocked with toiletries and about as clean as you could expect. And, yes bros, older guys with no modesty walking around are here as well. The prices aren't that bad, but I did come from CA where a gym membership to a higher end club usually costs a small mortgage, a 10% ownership stake in your soul and your firstborn child. Here's the two downers for me that keep the club from being 5 star. 1) They have a dedicated work area for members. Super useful because a lot of us are coming during work hours or commute a long way to get here. However, the work area/club lounge legit sounds like a club. The lounge is also right along the hallway so there's a lot of gym bros congratulating each other on hitting the PB or ladies walking by who are totes excited about hearing Fate of Ophelia during HIT class. I get it. I'm a Swifty as well and I'm the first to admit that Taylor slays. But I ain't yelling it down the hall. Midtown has a work area/lounge and they commit to it. If you're going to add a space like this, commit. Do it right. 2) Y'all need to up the cafe game or I'll call John Taffer and Gordon Ramsay. Soggy tortilla on a wrap is sacrilege. Where's the two Italian dudes yelling "not approved" when I need them. I know I'm nitpicking. Maybe I'm unfair. After all, it is a gym. But if you're positioning yourself as not just a fitness club but an experience, commit to it. don't half a$% something. Whole a$% it.
